Had an early lunch today at Lisa's southern smokehouse inside the Peacock Market & let me tell you....their Cornbread is the BEST I've ever tasted! Hands down. Another surprise was the Red beans & Rice. You can't find a BBQ spot who serves that. Took some to go also. Definitely will be a repeat customer. read more

So surprised on how huge it actually is inside. I wanted to try Mr. Pickles but they were closed so I ended up ordering Mexican food. This store had plenty to choose from, even the different flavors of chips you don't normally see. I ended up grabbing a few snacks for the kids and some drinks. They have $4 buzzballs, flavors I've never tried so I grabbed a few. It's a 1 stop shop, grab some food and drinks here they got everything! read more

So inside there are several places you can purchase from; mexican food, sandwich shop, a coffee shop, and the liquor store. We got a number 6 and 10 from the sandwich place Pickle Deli. We both liked our sandwiches. The fried pickles were and the onion rings too. Owner Is super entertaining and you can tell he loves interacting with the guests. He had us laughing the whole time. We also tried drinks from the coffee shop. Chai Latte was VERY good. Honestly might be my favorite Chai Latte I've had. They have Thrifty's Ice Cream too! I can't wait to come back for ice cream and Mexican too. Inside is very comfortable and clean. Nice to see this space turned into something that should become really popular. 5/18/24 Pretty Great experience! I was at Miguel's getting Brea and saw they had a pretty great wine selection. Fresno State Pinot Noir wins. Also got a single bottle of Chardonnay for mother. The worker was very kind! Great service & store! Highly recommended! read more

I took my daughter to The Parlor inside Peacock Artisan Eatery today to share a piece of my past with her--the joy of eating Thrifty Ice Cream. Of course, they had my favorite flavor, Chocolate Malted Crunch! I haven't had it in over 25 years, and it was just as good as I remembered. I'm so excited about the Artisan Eatery and the variety of options they offer. From delicious Mexican food to coffee, ice cream, and sandwiches, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a real small-town feel that makes you want to stay awhile. The staff is incredibly friendly and made our visit even more enjoyable. For those who grew up in Clovis, I'm in awe of this place that you had growing up. It's so great that they are adding to it making it more enticing for everyone. The fact that it now becoming a bodega makes it so exciting. There is now a Pickled Deli, a sandwich shop I've had the Turkey and Pastrami sandwich. Both so good and so much better than those big franchises The Mug Comminity Coffee Shop, opening their second location at this spot. The coffee is something to be desired. Then there is Miguel's Salsa Tacueria, which reminds me of home cooked Mexican food. So many choices and a great place to honor fallen heroes. Please go visit. read more

The taco place isn't that great. It wasn't so much the flavor, but the way the taco meat is cooked or stored. Almost like stew meat. Spanish rice was dry. Beans tasted a little off like too much spices added. Sitting area was hot, like the A/C was off. read more

Just stopped in to get something to drink. I hadn't been in this store in a long time. They've been doing some updates, starting with the cool new sign outside! It wasn't busy when I was there, and I was in and out. A BBQ was just being fired up in the parking lot. I noticed a sign that's something they offer now. I'll have to get out that way for a tri-tip sandwich soon! The interior looks so different from when I lived nearby many years ago. Nice and bright. Good job on the remodel, Peacock Market. Yooooooooooo Peacock is the place to go for anything you need. Large variety of craft and domestic beers, and big variety of liquor. Was there and was surprised to see they had a taco shop and tri-tip stand inside and a meat locker, all separate of course. The market is under new management. When I stopped by yesterday to check them out because I live nearby, the man working the counter was very nice. I told him I lived nearby and wanted to see what kinds of things they had in case I ever needed anything. I made sure to note that they have bags of charcoal (both briquettes and lump). I go in here all the time to buy butane for jewelry making they never Id me before and I've been more than a couple times with the same guy! Today he ids me and he is holding my id for a long time just looking at it and he looks at me and ask my birthday I tell him exactly as it says on the card I mean I have no reason to lie lol and All he says is sorry and puts the butane to the side like he's not going to cash me out. They just lost a customer it's also really dirty in there it looks like they never clean. There's dust on like all the stuff haha anyways I'd rather go to the little gas station to the side for stuff. That main guy needs to learn how to treat his customers. read more
