First time I was trying from here and we absolutely loved it and my pregnant wife is happy It's too sweet but the strawberries were good match with the chocolate so you wouldn't feel the sweetness a lot. The fresh cocktail we got it for our kid, since it didn't have any added sugar and no any added artificial colors, and he loved it. The interior was clean and nicely organized, the young lady and gentleman were kind and patient with their customers as it was taking something longer for people to make their minds I would only recommend to update the menu banner with something more simpler so their customers are able to choose something from the menu easily. Before heading there I already knew what Im going to order so it was easy for me, but there were others who just walked in and they were having difficulty to read/digest the menu. Other than that everything was great, and we are definitely going to come back maybe in two weeks

We heard about the Dubai Waffle and had to hunt it down. And I was not disappointed. Drowning in pistachio chocolate and drizzle. With some crunchy kataifi crunch, it's rich and creamy. Messy and yummy. Paired with a fizzy soda that resembles a Jallab or fuljar soda style, it's refreshing to see these Arabic soda styles coming to Fresno. Of all places. I guess as seen on instagram and tik tok, I don't need to get on a plane to have the experience. The service was so amazing and if you haven't played Fortnite or tried a chug jug, you gotta come get some. The flavor is best described as blue, as in, if blue was a flavor, that's exactly what it would taste like. So if you're a fan of Fortnite, chug jug, or even the color blue, this is a must try for you.

Ambiance & service were fine. Order took quite a while though as this place was insanely busy. Happy for them! Got the Hanan Mix brownie flight. I wish I could say I liked it, but it was cloyingly sweet. If it was 1/4 as sweet, it'd still be plenty sweet. Also, a few tasted the same to me. We tasted a bite of each & tossed the rest. They were out of the Dubai Chocolate (the reason we & seemingly many other ppl went there).

We love this place so much. The chocolate they use is very tasty and fresh. We have tried smoothies, waffles and dubai chocolate strawberry cup... all of them were very tasty, fresh and high quality. The interior is very nice, we always ordered to-go and got our orders on time. Service is good! We are planning to try more from their menu.

Embrace the motto: Life is short. Eat Ice Cream first. Juice Time has a variety of ice cream, milkshakes and sweets. They have daily BOGO deals and if you're lucky, you might be able to grab the viral Dubai chocolate bars. For the drinks: The nutella milkshake is made with soft serve that gives it the perfect texture. Pleasantly surprised at the shake being not too sweet - mainly coming from nutella.

There was a line out the door. This dessert spot is a ways away from where we live but it was worth trying their Dubai chocolate strawberries since I was out of kataifi and couldn't make it myself, hubby had their heart attack smoothie. They had a special and we got a free heart attack smoothie. Dubai chocolate strawberries and the smoothie were really good. Staff was very nice. Just know you may have to wait a while. They stay busy. We sat at the cleanest table we could find. Tables were filthy and there's definitely a fly problem.

This place was great, especially if you're wanting Dubai inspired treats! They have lots of middle Eastern options for drinks and snacks and treats, from crepes to smoothies to waffles and chocolate bars! We got the Dubai strawberry cup (sooo good!) and the Dubai waffle (I would recommend this over the crepe) and a lotus ice cream and everything was great! It's a little on the pricey side and the wait time can be a bit long depending on when you go, and I didn't find the service exceptionally friendly, but it's definitely a great spot for that pistachio chocolate craving you may have!

My coworker highly recommended this place. I got the fresh watermelon juice. And I mean fresh. I saw the girl blending slices of watermelon. I don't remember what the blue drinks were but they were equally tasty and refreshing. But the show stopper is the Dubai strawberries, I've been hesitant to try this just because I assume it would be overly sweet, I was wrong. The tangy from the strawberry, the nuttiness from the pistachio butter and creaminess from the chocolate it all just works well. Not overly sweet--it's such a nice balance. Must try. So good. I will come out this way to get the strawberries. Mind you, I live 25 mins from here.

We came to try the viral Dubai chocolate strawberry cup. It costed a little over $14 and did not disappoint! enough to share between 2-3 people. It had the perfect layering of kanafe/chocolate/pistachio in between fresh cut strawberries. Definitely will be coming back to try other items! My only concern is that we went when they just opened and the bathroom sink was dirty. It looked like throw up dried on top of the faucet. Didn't want to take a picture of it. Too gross.

I wanted to try this place since I saw it on IG. So I went on a hot sunny Monday at 6pm, nobody there. The girl in front was very sweet and was patient as I looked through the menu. The interior is very spacious with many tables and cute signs Ended up getting a Peach and Passion Fruit Red Bull for $6.99. You can mix flavors if you like. Little steep but it came in a sealed plastic soda can. I enjoyed it! Cute drink place to try!

Tried this place for the first time and it was delicious. I got the large Dubai chocolate bar and the Dubai waffle. Both were really good and they're definitely using very high quality chocolate. The chocolate bar was top 5 best things I've ever tasted and I've traveled up and down the state trying food places. Cute aesthetic and good customer service. A must!

Was not good. Just hard and messy.

Disappointed. Not worth the hype. The Dubai strawberry cup was ok. Very over priced will not come again.

Ampersand Ice Cream - Whiskey Caramel Swirl- yum 07/20/2025

Ampersand Ice Cream

(987 reviews)

$$

I've been to all three Ampersand Ice Cream locations in Fresno, including the spots on North Marks,…read moreNorth Echo, and East Shepherd, and every single one has been consistently excellent. In my opinion, Ampersand has the most creative and consistently delicious ice cream flavors anywhere in the Fresno area. They have a strong lineup of staple flavors that are always available, along with rotating monthly flavors that keep things interesting. Some of the staple flavors include Madagascar Vanilla, Dark Chocolate, Honeycomb, Bordeaux Cherry, Rocky Road, Mint Chip, Chocolate Chip, Strawberry, Peanut Butter Chip, and Whiskey Caramel Swirl. The monthly flavors are where they really get creative. As of May, they had flavors like Ube Coconut, Fior di Latte, Bananas Foster, Birthday Cake, Honey Rose Pistachio, Miso Sesame Brittle, Pim's Cup Sorbet, and Strawberry Balsamic. I also appreciate that they offer vegan options every month, and even one of the staple flavors, Peanut Butter Chip, is vegan. Their website clearly lists allergens for all flavors as well, which is helpful for people with dietary restrictions or food allergies. They offer a lot of different ways to enjoy the ice cream too. You can get cups or cones, single through triple scoops, pints to take home, milkshakes made from any flavor, and even flights where you get four smaller scoops to sample different flavors. They also have toppings and waffle cones available. The staff has always been friendly at every location I've visited. The shops themselves aren't huge, but most people are in and out fairly quickly. They also keep water available for customers and have restrooms on-site, which is nice. Weekend evenings can definitely get busy, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, so expect a short wait sometimes, but it's absolutely worth it. Parking is also generally pretty easy at most of the locations. If you're looking for genuinely high-quality ice cream in Fresno, Ampersand is one of the best spots in town. Highly recommend.

This is a small shop with a big back area where they make ice cream magic. They have different delicious ice cream treats and at least one agua fresca at all times ranging from $2 - $5 or so but I usually stick with the paletas. They have at least theee different strawberry options and every other fruit - and some veg like avocado- don't knock it til you try it. The paletas are separated by water-based and dairy-based. Both are good. My favorite water-based: watermelon, lime, jamaica (hibiscus) and fave dairy-based: both strawberry - sooo good. Currently, paletas are $2 each with no discount that I could see. I'm pretty sure two summers ago, the dairy based were like 25 cents or 50 cents more (adds up when you buy 10 like me haha). Anyway, you deserve these frozen treats, don't deny yourself any longer.

SF had Benkyodo, which I appreciate, but did ran sweet for me…read more SJ has Shuei-Do. Pardon, but non ci siamo. Sac has Osaka-Ya, but Kogetsu-Do is better. We were in town the morning after seeing the Firefail. Finally success on the third visit attempt. Amongst other shops on the desolate street stood an unremarkable window front where the repeat button has remained on since the 60s. Within was an eclectic mix of Japanese American household fixtures and Americana. Rustic. Nothing like Benkyodo's proper shelf presentation - or a hamburga stand. Some Japanese goods were on offer, but you come here for something sweet. We got a couple of mochi and manju, traditional red bean flavors, because that's all that was left. Their manju, seeming to have a different "batter" and "panini"-grilled, had a crumbly texture. The mochi though... Have you seen that viral video of that slapping mochi shop in Nara? What about people enjoying it? How soft it was, leaving a vegan cheese pull with every bite? This was by far the softest mochi I've ever had, and I thoroughly enjoyed the soy dusted yomogi. The bigger size of the mochi also accentuated the softness of the mochi. The matcha, also green, had a distincting different flavor, just so you know that the shop wasn't cheating. My partner in crime loved the lima bean mochi. The red bean filling tasted homemade, good flavor but not too sweet - the best compliment you can give an Asian in a world that remains overrun by pollo ala naranja. We are proud* that such a heritage perseveres on, especially in a part of town that's honestly become quite desecrated of life. Call ahead to see if the shop is open, and try to come early. The shop is a one woman show, and if my first two visits say anything, this lady enjoys having a life. And yes, she does sell out. She was nearly sold out when we visited. And try to enjoy the mochi ASAP. The mochi will last in the fridge. The texture will not. If you come at the right time of the year, the shop will have mochi in different fruit and pie flavors, and even ice cream mochi. *OK, "I'm proud of you" might be a bigger compliment to an Asian. And yes, there's Fugetsu in LA, but I haven't been. Though if you need a reason to visit the Fresno, you can always take the 99 traveling between SoCal and NorCal... Just need to be early if much is desired. If you're interested in AYCEat mochi, staying healthy, working out for free, and have an eye for the art of making mochi, may I suggest asking the owner for an apprenticeship? The owner's mentioned on articles that there's no one to take over and you don't become a master overnight.
