She asked me about my favorite wines and what Charcuterie board would go best with my wine. Their meats and cheeses were just delightful! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and all the cute little boutique items they were selling! I not only purchased a yummy bottle of wine, I also walked away with the cutest little dog toys!! A great little gem in Old Town Clovis. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the staff, who were friendly and explained the menu. I ended up ordering wine by the glass and sharing a meat and cheese board with some friends. The wine was delicious and I liked that I was able to sample it before deciding on the glass. I attended the June wine pairing dinner and it was exquisite! The burrata in the appetizer was creamy and delicious. The halibut with mango salsa was perfect with the chilled white wine. Next was the short rib over polenta which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Ended with a chocolate cheese plate...although odd sounding the chocolate covered corn nuts were my favorite. This adorable wine bar is a wonderful addition to downtown Clovis! We ordered the Burrata cheese and prosciutto plate, and it was absolutely delicious! The wine was really good so we decided to buy another bottle to take home. I was pretty surprised when I priced that bottle at other places. It was $10 more at Total Wine and $20 more at an online wine vendor!! In other words, Cork & Knife's retail prices on bottles of wine are fantastic! read more

I usually love this place... but today the staff were more attentive to each new customer who came in and took a long time to acknowledge that my wine glass was empty. When she finally did ask me if I wanted another glass of wine she quickly walked away without acknowledging my husband and I had to call her back so she could ask my husband to ask if he wanted another glass of wine. I do understand it is a small place, but they also need to remember that the repeat customers will help them gain more business. read more

My initial introduction to this fabulous wine store was when I was gifted a bottle of Rose' that just happens to have my name on it . Of course I had to visit this store and immediately fell in love . What a great addition to downtown Clovis. LOVED the atmosphere. Great selection of wines. Everything we had from their menu was fresh and flavorful (table favorite was the Buffalo deviled eggs and their Serrano with melon). Service was friendly, attentive and quick! Perfect place to sit and enjoy wine and tapas for hours, or a quick bite to eat before exploring OTC. The reason for 4/5 stars instead of 5/5: the Meat and Cheese board we ordered had a cute Spanish theme, so all the meats were Spanish inspired or originated, and the cheese which was very fun (but we weren't informed that would be the case when we ordered)! However there was only one cheese, and a lot of the items didn't have anything to pair with. It felt like it could have been more cohesive with pairings, rather than inspired strictly by region, more of what went well with each other on the plate to put together. This may be personal preference, but the same was said for the Cow, Goat, Sheep board. There wasn't enough bread/crostini's for the different cheese, and only 4 pieces of the same type on both boards. The cheeses didn't seem to pair with anything on the board, and we ended up just taking small bites of things alone. Again, enjoying pairing a jam, cracker meat and cheese together may be personal preference, but this was only able to be done with the grainy mustard, Serrano and Spanish cheese from what we received. With that said the quality of each meat, cheese, nut, jam, wine, etc that we had was very high and tasty! Really looking forward to going back and trying more as it seemed like they would have a revolving/changing menu! read more

Tried this place for the first time for a to go order. Agree with the reviewer who said that the board isn't so cohesive within itself for eating. Got the meat and cheese board and while the individual components were tasty, they didn't really go together well. It came with one hard cheese, two cured meats, and accessory items. Had a mustard and fruit spread with bread but no soft cheese to spread. There were a couple of pickled items that would have went well with a sausage or stronger meat. It was ok but it could have been curated better. Definitely has potential and I hope the management looks at feedback to improve. The inside of the restaurant was cute but seemed more suited to small parties of 2-4 rather than large parties. Will definitely try this place for dine to try the wine offerings. Had a backlog of Paso Robles and Napa wines to finish so the charcuterie board to go was the perfect option this week. Will update review after dine in. read more
