I've been here a few times and my last visit was just ok, this time around it was pure bliss. My wife and I took advantage of a kid free day and some beautiful weather and enjoyed a few sips on their back patio. This is just a beer bar, so beers and seltzers only. I went with the Crow and Wolf Ocean Blast seltzer; a blue coconut, mango, pineapple, and lime beverage. Insanely good and refreshing on a hot afternoon. My wife went a peach seltzer that was just as tasty. We sat in the backyard area, that offers plenty of seating, a few TVs, and a ordering window so you don't need to head to the inside bar to order more drinks. The out area has smoking and non-smoking sections and is dog friendly, but they must be leashed. For food, we went the tri-tip BBQ pizza and a soft pretzel. The pizza was delicious and the perfect size for two people. Huge chunks of tri-tip, spicy BBQ sauce, and very cheesy. I asked for jalapenos on the side for an extra kick of heat. This is a cute hang out lounge. We came here after dinner on a Saturday dinner. It literally was a decked out backyard. They had lots of outside tables, lounge chairs, live music, a fire pit, and games like Jenga and corn hole. They also had a bar with beers but no cock tails. They had a little arcade area with indoor seating. We ended up playing ping pong which was fun but since it was dark they didn't have good lighting beside the one light bulb from the wall. I got a dark horse drink which was pretty good. They had small bathrooms but I liked how they decorated St Patrick's theme. They also sold food and snacks. There was a cute cat in the cafe too. This place is hidden gem here in the Valley. There's nowhere like this for coffee in the mornings. Has an Inviting atmosphere and the staff is super friendly. Lots of areas to choose from for seating outside (could be an issue once we hit the 3 digits and nobody wants to be outside). Just a charming place! The evenings are louder, but it maintains the same relaxed neighborhood feel. Our son and his friends, in their mid 20s, love this place too. The food was solid with generous portions. One of the best parts is the variety of seating -- downstairs, upstairs near the pool table, booths, and outdoor seating with fire pits and picnic tables. Ordering is done at the bar or counter and you grab everything yourself, which keeps things casual and easy. I had tried this place once before and it made a really good impression. So when we were looking for a chill place to hang out on a Thursday afternoon that also happened to be my birthday, I was really happy to be around the corner from this place. The food is pretty good for being a bar, definitely better than most bar food. And the portions are really big too. Their beer selection is nice too, with a lot of 16oz cans to round it out. So you can get everything from an IPA to a seltzer, but not always a hard kombucha as they were out that day. The bartenders were all really helpful and attentive and even got our food for us since it wasn't busy. I'm definitely looking forward to enjoying the patio once the weather stops trying to kill us all. I can easily see myself coming back to this place a lot in the future. read more

5/14/25 Getting lunch! Talk about a hidden gem everyone! Really Great! Looks like a tiny little house, but once you walk in...it's HUGE! Cute GREAT, large backyard too! Huge tree and plenty of room! Greeted by nice worker and ordered the turkey bacon ranch sandwich. No mayo, no ranch and upgraded to their potato salad. Also got a Reese's chocolate cookie that was a teaser at the register and looked Great for dinner. Paid for order and worker handed me a buzzer to go off when it was ready. Checked it out. Really in awe of this place! Nothing like you expect from the outside. Even a pretty large bar in the back. Besides the GREAT Backyard. Bartender greeted and was very kind too! We had a great time here! I'd heard of the Backyard but had heard it was a renovated home/backyard and didn't "get it." It definitely didn't look like a renovated house to me but it's a fun spot! The backyard is actually the star here, lots of great shade and seating, some games and sooo much good beer. They even had a shelf with cans of Off! to keep the bugs away. When we visited last weekend, we came to see a live band - they were GREAT. We sat at bar which was the area where the band played. It was fairly small but they made it work. There is also a small upstairs area with more seating and games. They also have a decent sized menu with pizzas, sandwiches, a few salads and other appetizer type food. I think we just opted for the wrong choices. My salad was great, just not good food for eating at a bar while watching a show haha. We and our friends also ordered the pork verde nachos. These were the most disappointing. The meat was kind of dry - the verde insinuated sauciness to all of us but nope, it wasn't and I don't even know why it was in the name. Later we also ordered the giant pretzel and that thing was delicious with enough mustard and cheese sauce for the whole thing. Customer service was great , every bartender we encountered was friendly and gave great service. Food was the only reason I knocked off a star. We are looking forward to coming back. read more

I've now been here a few times in the past couple months and love it! Such a chill, comfy environment inside & outside. Inside has an older vibe to it. Bar, tables , booth options and stage for live music. Outside has so many tables, chairs and benches. Option to bring your own stuff and rent a grill. Games. Outside stage. It literally feels like you're in a backyard. Service has always been great! All the bartenders have been so sweet and organized. Great food/drink options! They have several beers/selzers on tap and so many cans to choose from! Food is just kind of bar/snacky vibe. Typically an older crowd, which I'm a little surprised, maybe it's the area?? First time here! This place is super cool. I love the whole laid back, chillin in the backyard vibes. When we first arrive we were a bit confused about the parking but saw the signs that we could park in the back. You can enter through the front or the back. They have games in the back, and even a grill if you'd want to bbq. They have a restaurant and on the other side the bar with seating and stage for when they have performers. You can also walk upstairs. Didn't get to go up there but I assume there may be seating or it's for viewing the performers. The staff is nice and attentive. Left Hacienda Tequila because of lack of service. Off to another restaurant and found this place open. Walking into the yard found many people socializing and having a great time. I totally dig the atmosphere! All workers were very friendly. Decided to get a few things on the menu, which is primarily bar food, but what really stood out was the Chili Verde Nachos and the Chili Cheese Dog. The Good: Great atmosphere, great music, good vibes The OK: The food Needs work: Guy that took my food order gave me pulled pork nachos instead of Verde. He also didn't listen well, as I told him to open a tab. The person who poured the single beer charged me for two. We resolved it though. As others commented, it is somewhat confusing with no real direction. I am really hoping this place gets better with time and has the opportunity to earn two more stars from me. I've been wanting to check this place out since we live very close but it looked quiet from out front. It didn't seem like there were many customers there. Boy was I wrong and seriously been missing out. Loved everything about this place. After pulling in and driving to the back parking lot, I realized majority of the parking was in the back. Our first time going was the day of the Clovis Taps and Brews Trail. The parking lot was full but surprisingly the place was very roomy. I get a little anxious in very crowded bars but the layout was awesome. So many areas to hang out and change up the ambiance. There was a backyard that made us feel like we were hanging out at someone's beautiful backyard with a fountain, pond, fire pit and a beautiful tree. There was grass space with picnic tables and cornhole games. There is a back bar outside that operates during peak hours I believe. Connected to the outside bar was a small arcade with a couple dart boards. There is a separate place away from the bar for food. Love the concept of having a separate little restaurant. Smelled like pizza when we walked into check it out. I can't leave a review on the food since we did not eat any, but it did smell really good. You can take your food and enjoy it anywhere aside from the food area. As you enter the bar, we realized there were still plenty of areas to hang out. There were some tables and booths close to the bar. I believe they aren't serving liquor, just beer. But that's fine. There were many selections and some from local breweries. I got a South Gate Pumkineer from Oakhurst. Very tasty! As we walked on, the band was playing so we walked upstairs and seen even more seating and a shuffleboard table. You can even watch the band from upstairs. There was also a coffee table spot with different board games you could take out and play. The different cup holders here and there were a nice added touch. I noticed the staff really being on top of keeping everything clean and picking up the glasses often. Tables were constantly being cleaned. Everything was very tidy. We sat outside listening to the water fountain and the music and got a sense of relaxation and peace. The building does not resemble a business but more of a beautiful home feel from out back. We are so happy to have found this place. It'll definitely be a favorite of ours now. As we were leaving, we seen an area where people were playing table tennis. Now I'm wondering if there was something else we may have missed. Very fun and different concept for a bar. Absolutely loved the layout and different options for hangout spots. Seen this open over the summer and been meaning to go and finally did! Such a cute spot! Love the string rope lights across the entire back patio (which is huge!). Very spacious and roomy with a bunch of different activities. Ping pong, corn hole, fire pit, picnic tables, and more! The food was good! The combo pizza was so good, had a cheese pull too! Inside the bar they had a live band and 2 levels. Shuffle board, board games and more! Was pretty loud inside but it was still fun. Only down side was there's only beer and seltzers :( I'm a liquor person but the Zombie Killer seltzer was pretty good! The bartender was soo nice! Enjoyed our first visit here during opening weekend. Their Instagram is updated often with live music and it looks like they are keeping busy. I would like to go back and enjoy the backyard area with the cool autumn weather on the way. It is a huge space with lots of seating options and a ping pong table ! And other games. The indoor area is interesting and has many unique and eye catching decor and photo opportunities. Friendly service on a busy Saturday afternoon.
