I came to Beyond the Wine on a Wednesday night to catch Vibe Check and had such a great evening! To begin with, it was easily accessible. Plenty of parking close to the venue. The space is intimate so I was able to really enjoy the music. If you don't know Vibe Check, they are a cover band with incredibly talented musicians across the board. I love their R&B and soul covers, but they also do pop covers as well. Very talented band that performs at Beyond the Wine every Wednesday evening. Back to the venue, the staff was so friendly and attentive. I had a drink with peach and vodka (can't remember the name of it). Fortunately, it was strong and delicious for that $15. Before the band started, they were showing videos of 90s hip hop, which was so nostalgic! That made me smile when I walked in the door. The space is intimate and filled up during the first set. Folks were shy about dancing on the night I went - a guy asked me to dance and we were the only people that danced before I left at 10. I was there for a couple of hours. I would absolutely go back. It was a great way to break up the week without a lot of effort.

I honestly wanted to really like this place because on social media it looks like a nice social place. Went here Sunday for Pisces brunch. Was caught off guard that we had to pay an entrance fee of $5. For a bar lounge ? The lady at the front said "good thing you got here early".. so does that mean the price increases after? The vibe was great due to the DJ and games. On the menu it stated happy hour until 7pm, but because it was a "brunch, with no brunch lol, they weren't doing happy hour. The drinks were pretty and well presented but in my opinion overpriced for water downed drinks. In that case I would rather go to the modernist to pay that price and actually taste the alcohol in my drinks. I ordered 3 Mexican candy shots and for the price of $9 they were so small. Was honestly let down with this place.

This was an awesome experience. The margarita viva la Rita style was refreshing with a sweet and spicy twist on the rim. They had Dab Tacos available for order and the pastor quesadilla was soooo good. The band they had playing "Vibe Check" was incredible. The bartenders were so sweet and efficient. Overall, I can only imagine what the weekends are like if a Wednesday night was so enjoyable.

I've been wanting to check this place out for a while. We were finished dining next door so we walked to this establishment. It was cute inside but very quiet I almost felt out of place . No one was really talking just enjoying their drinks I suppose. Most tables were reserved so I guess they were having a DJ or live music. It's pretty small inside but I guess they make it work. The bartender was very helpful and friendly. I didn't have wine but they had a good selection of beer as well. We had one drink and left. I feel like I should give this place another try at some point and time but as for now I give them 3 stars.

I reserved some tables for my husbands birthday. I met with the owner a day before to preorder the drinks and food. Great prices and service. There was a DJ and our friends loved the 90s music. The paninis and macaroons were made by vanntastic sweets. Everyone loved the sandwiches and sweets. It was also wonderfully presented. This place made a good a impression because my friends still talk about the party

Went there to celebrate a birthday. DJ was great! Bartenders were great. However, they don't have anything! No bourbon, no whiskey, no cognac! Nothing! This was my first time there. From what I hear, this isn't the first time the bar "ran out" of a certain liquor. They should just tell guests, that they don't carry it, at all! Instead of making us think, they "ran out", so maybe they'll have it in THIS time. Would save everyone the trouble of asking. Only liquor they had was a house tequila, which in my opinion was gross. And vodka. Also, drinks are watered down. For $15 drinks, I would like to taste my liquor. Tastes like a cheap Happy Hour with watered down drinks. I recommend ordering straight cans or bottled beers. At least you're guaranteed what you ordered.

My friends and I decided to stop in for a quick drink and to listen to the music by DJ Pancho Villa. Every table and all the chairs at the bar were filled. I ordered a dirty martini. Hard pass I really wanted it to be good. My friend got a glass of Carol Shelton Old Vine Zin "Wild Thing".

I have discovered that management doesn't pay all its help and expects free service. There isn't a dress code for the workers or the clientele. Those that came just knew how to behave and what to wear. The air-conditioner runs constantly, the fans in the bar are going constantly and the back and front doors are open wide. It gets to cold to be comfortable in The Brig and it's because the bar tenders are too hot. Vaping goes on and nothing is done about it. Men go into the Ladies room do whatever in there and excape out the back door. I have personally experienced this twice. The service is slow and poor, at best. Tables are cleared but not wiped down. The bar now is messy and unorganized. Some of the help don't know how to mop up a spilled drink. The help dresses scantily and shows more that they need to. This might be the problem. The clientele has change and it's not the regulars that come in there any more. The clientele is moving to be a rougher, more dangerous group. Karaoke was great this last Sunday night (March 1, 2026). A few of the old crowd was there and it wasn't the dive bar we had on Saturday night (Feb 28, 2026). I will continue to go to the Brig as long as I am with my DJ. But someone in control needs to look at some of this.

The wines we were able to try were great, and it felt like a nice spot for a small celebration. One small disappointment was that they were out of a few wines and gelato we were interested in trying, apparently because of an event earlier in the evening. It limited the selection a bit for us, which was a little unfortunate. I did enjoy many of the cocktails, especially the Drop the Lemon (delicious lemon drop) and the Caramel Apple Carousel (tastes like apple pie!). We also enjoyed the Petite Charcuterie board, which was a great selection for a small group. That said, our server Esteban really made the experience. He was super chill, friendly, and attentive. He gave great suggestions and made sure our group was taken care of throughout the night. He has such fun energy and really made sure we had a great time as well. Overall, a very nice place for a birthday gathering, and Esteban's service definitely stood out. I'd come back again to try more of their wines!

They only serve beer, wine, and mead, but hard liquor folks do not worry... mead is essentially the hard liquor of the beer world, but tastes way better and at 20%, you'll drink way less! Their taps offer local beers and an array of imports from all over the world. I also learned that they are one of two bars in the entire Fresno/Clovis area that actually serves Guinness on tap! During my visit, the bartender suggested a something unique; a mixture of two different beers. I cannot remember their names for the life of me, but one was a peanut butter scout mixed with a purple-ish beer from house of Pendragon. All that to say, it tasted like a peanut butter and jelly and was delicious! Gracie, my bartender, was super friendly and very informed all the beers and wines they serve here. Who doesn't love a friendly and info field bartender?! If you haven't been here in a long time or are looking for a new place where you can belly up to the bar, the Bog House pub is it, cheers!
