Fun place! The vibe is kind of all over the place, but it's cute Accidentally went while they were doing trivia night (a Wednesday, heads up 8-9:30ish) ended up having a good time! Service was good, our waitress was sweet. Didn't check on us at all while the trivia was going on though Drinks were ehhhhh, didn't taste bad but also didn't taste like they had any alcohol, felt like maybeeeee a half shot in each. I came to Beyond the Wine on a Wednesday night to catch Vibe Check and had such a great evening! To begin with, it was easily accessible. Plenty of parking close to the venue. The space is intimate so I was able to really enjoy the music. If you don't know Vibe Check, they are a cover band with incredibly talented musicians across the board. I love their R&B and soul covers, but they also do pop covers as well. Very talented band that performs at Beyond the Wine every Wednesday evening. Back to the venue, the staff was so friendly and attentive. I had a drink with peach and vodka (can't remember the name of it). Fortunately, it was strong and delicious for that $15. Before the band started, they were showing videos of 90s hip hop, which was so nostalgic! That made me smile when I walked in the door. The space is intimate and filled up during the first set. Folks were shy about dancing on the night I went - a guy asked me to dance and we were the only people that danced before I left at 10. I was there for a couple of hours. I would absolutely go back. I honestly wanted to really like this place because on social media it looks like a nice social place. Went here Sunday for Pisces brunch. Was caught off guard that we had to pay an entrance fee of $5. For a bar lounge ? The lady at the front said "good thing you got here early".. so does that mean the price increases after? The vibe was great due to the DJ and games. On the menu it stated happy hour until 7pm, but because it was a "brunch, with no brunch lol, they weren't doing happy hour. The drinks were pretty and well presented but in my opinion overpriced for water downed drinks. In that case I would rather go to the modernist to pay that price and actually taste the alcohol in my drinks. I ordered 3 Mexican candy shots and for the price of $9 they were so small. I've been wanting to check this place out for a while. We were finished dining next door so we walked to this establishment. It was cute inside but very quiet I almost felt out of place . No one was really talking just enjoying their drinks I suppose. Most tables were reserved so I guess they were having a DJ or live music. It's pretty small inside but I guess they make it work. The bartender was very helpful and friendly. I didn't have wine but they had a good selection of beer as well. We had one drink and left. Short visit to Fresno was full of conflicting emotions - from "what the hell is that place" to "I like it a lot" :) This little wine bar most certainly helped liking Fresno. Very nice and relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, not a bad wine selection, simple but nice decor. Bartender has a good knowlege of products, recomended local wine (surprise) and it was actually not a bad choice at all. To top it off - place offered life music. Went there to celebrate a birthday. DJ was great! Bartenders were great. However, they don't have anything! No bourbon, no whiskey, no cognac! Nothing! This was my first time there. From what I hear, this isn't the first time the bar "ran out" of a certain liquor. They should just tell guests, that they don't carry it, at all! Instead of making us think, they "ran out", so maybe they'll have it in THIS time. Would save everyone the trouble of asking. Only liquor they had was a house tequila, which in my opinion was gross. And vodka. Also, drinks are watered down. For $15 drinks, I would like to taste my liquor. Tastes like a cheap Happy Hour with watered down drinks. Good night! Caught up with a girlfriend from the gym. Not the most welcoming workers. Ordered Pinot Nior and my friend had it too and a flatbread. There wasn't many people there. Still nice. Went here for a friend's party and I must say, DO NOT GO HERE! It's called Beyond the Wine, well no kidding, there is NO wine. Had a choice of a Cab or a Pinot, that was it. Bartenders didn't even know who made the wine. The picture of a wine wall is deceiving as there is no wine wall. They had what looked like pre-made drinks, which were terrible according to everyone that had them. Tried to have a good time due to friend's party, but the owner was very rude. Santiago, Belinda and Lydia create a very cozy atmosphere here, they are like sommeliers one would normally pay extra for with an expensive Michelin star meal. The people that show up are generally winos, perfect for that business meeting, entertaining clients, or just meeting up with colleagues. With a varied lineup of live music, ample parking, and small bites, it's easy to plan a last-minute get-together with family/friends. They're also extraordinary with reservations, they're very responsive and able to get a table situated for your party. They also have curb side options for wine and frozen cocktails to go. Let me start off by saying I would never recommend this establishment to any of my friends or family. My friend reached out to "BTW" and spoke with a bar manager because she was planning a surprise 40th for her girlfriend. She had a few conversations with said manager to confirm the party size, if we could bring food etc. the bar manager never once made it specifically clear that if the party was going to be big we would need to rent out the facility. When we showed up to set up at 630 the time we confirmed for, we were told there was a private party and to come back at 7. When we showed up we were told by the owner(as he made very clear he was the owner) that they don't do reservations, but yet by reading the reviews they reserve tables and reserve private parties? It didn't make sense but I digress. Once the birthday girl walked in, the owner pulled my friend aside and from the inside looking out his body language and demeanor all of 5'2 Lord Farquaad was puffy chest and assertive. I walked outside because I could tell my friend was overwhelmed and apologized and took responsibility for a situation that wasn't hers to own. We both walked away feeling like it was our fault that "the party was so big it was impeding business". When in actuality the owner should have kept quiet and just handled like a respectful owner would. The ball was dropped, handle it. Don't make the patrons feel like it's their problem. The lack of professionalism from the owner was appalling. Also to rent out an establishment for $4k is preposterous. This place has potential, and it's sad that its owner has no empathy or professionalism to handle a proper business or even handle a simple miscommunication, because he still made money off of our group. read more

The owner was amazingly gracious with accommodating every need we had, his staff is so wonderful, they did a great job and made sure everyone was so well taken care of! These people held Rockin on the bluffs event this last weekend and it was scarce to say the least. I purchased $34 worth of tickets and me and my wife showed up at 6 PM 1-hr after its start time. I saw one four man band playing, FEW people on the lawn and a couple easy ups. NO food trucks yet. We went and ate at Pismos and came back an hour later and only change was a food truck showed up. I asked for a refund and was declined saying "the event was a fund raiser and all money has been allocated". Who was the fund raiser for? Ill never go back and wont return to the club either where weeks earlier after the Rods on The Bluff show we stumbled onto the place and we dropped $300 in the place between the group we were with. Im sure glad I did not buy one of the $250 tables for eight at the event or I really would be pissed. read more

I've been to this place a handful of times. And usually it's alright. This last time 1/20/24, the worst experience My family ever had. Post 49ers game - where most people are already drunk. I had a non alcoholic beer while I was there, I don't drink in large groups of people. One of the bartenders was intoxicated upon Our arrival, the place was jam packed with only one security guard who did not check anyone at the door. My sisters girlfriend had some words with another woman regarding the bathroom line (pretty standard for a single bathroom in an establishment with minimum of 100 people in it) and was punched by the woman upon exiting the bathroom and then smacked by that women's man who was 6+ tall man. Two of My sisters went to pull her very understandably upset girlfriend away, as the man was very large and drunk and there were a party of more than 10 people. The bartender told My group to leave because even though they were completely in the wrong - their group was very large and intoxicated. The man then proceeds to punch My sister in the face four times, and punching My other sister in the head in which her head swells immediately. Security as well as others in his group cannot manage the man. The DJ who is also tipsy walks up and starts yelling at My sisters partner to leave and that she's "messing up his night and messing with his money". We were affirmed by security and the sober bartender that We were not in the wrong. But We will definitely be seeking to press charges against the gentleman and his girl. But the fact that this place regularly gets packed with only a single security guard , the drunken serving the drunker. And an unprofessional entertainer was extremely disappointing. read more

What a find! We were invited to go and check out the live music by my husband's good friend and I'm so glad we went! It was a Wednesday night (and my husband's birthday) so we went to check it out and have a birthday drink. The performers were so amazing and the whole vibe of the place was so chill and awesome. They had some really good wine picks on the menu plus it was happy hour and the prices at that time are great. The group even sang a personal birthday song just for him. Since that time, we've been back already 4 more times, including a Friday night where they have one of the best dj's ever. We were dancing the whole night long! Different nights of the week are different vibes but always a great time no matter what day it is.
