DO NOT COME HERE! My sister was told they did not allow sports team apparel (to which we understood) so she went to the car and changed into a sweater. We all walk up and a second security told all of us that they weren't allowing anymore entry (yet again, we understood). We were standing off to the side deciding where to go from there when we witness a couple walk up to the door. The lady was wearing a 49'ers, Garoppolo jersey. She took off her jersey, threw it in her bag, and BOTH were allowed entry. We asked security why they allowed the couple in after they had just told us they weren't allowing anymore entry. They lied and said "the couple was already in the bar." I told security that was bullshit. Cause they had just came from their car and were not already in the bar as they claimed. Security got upset with us and stated cops were going to be called (to which I answered, good because I will be waiting for the cops and there are cameras to prove everything that just unfolded. But they were bullshitting because none ever came). They stated my friends and I had been causing a disturbance the whole time we were there, BS. Security knew they fucked up in this situation and tried to threaten us with cops. We waited for the cops, but obviously, none came. So called "manager" Aaron, walks out from the bar getting in our faces yelling at us to get off the property. Couldn't believe his unprofessionalism. He seemed like some random entitled regular from his attitude. Did not even try to de escalate the situation, in which he escalated the situation even more. Left and never looked back. Ive been to this place a lot in the past few years. I've personally never had any scary incidents happen but have heard about some years ago. I have to say that I'm impressed with how naturally kind, and absolutely attentive the bar AND security staff are. The current team and overall experience of this bar is great. After having a very poor experience with my group of friends I would highly suggest not coming here. They do not provide the same service or rules to everyone. How are you going to say the bar is at full occupancy but then let in two others right after you just denied us? Make it make sense. Then threaten to call the cops when you got called out on your own BS lies? Then send out a MANAGER by the name of AARON to speak to customers with derogatory language, oh yeah your customer service is 5 stars alright...will not be coming here again but by the looks of it this bar does not care and that is fine, just giving a fair warning to everyone looking to have a good time to be prepared to not be treated equal and the rules might not be in your favor. read more

My sisters and I came to The Other Bar on 02/16/19 at 9pm or 10pm. My sisters and I randomly stumbled on this bar as we were looking for pre turn up game before we went out partying. Before we entered the bar we were carded immediately and this bar was semi crowded and lit. They had Karaoke going on when we arrived. My sisters and I sat at the bar and I decided to order my favorite girlie girl drink "Malibu Pineapple" which the bartender a cool looking dude with a man bun was like "seriously, I can make you something better that you like" so I took him up on the offer. He crafted each drink so well! My drink tasted like a Mangoneada on steroids which was bomb dot to the com!!! He called it a "fruity vodka" 10 more please. The sisters took shots of Henny. Since I was kinda the DD I did not partake in the shenanigans and bought shots for the girls and the family bestie and his boyfriend. When the family bestie arrived with his man he instantly went to go sing, Usher "you got it bad" which he sung better than Usher and no...that's not the alcohol talking. Some dude from the bar sent shots of fireball over to me...and if you know me I despise Fireball with a passion. The bartender hand delivered the drink personally to me. I slowly sipped the shot and gave it to the bestie to finish. Anywho, the patrons are so friendly and kind! An incident occurred with my older sister and I which was swiftly addressed. There was a bartender helper which was with the bartenders but did not do anything but engage customers which I thought was pretty cool job just to have. He definitely is like the hype man of the bar and keeping the bartenders on their toes. They have pool tables, darks and karaoke. This is definitely a cool spot to turn up and get some drinks. I will come back as I loved the atmosphere and our group especially my sisters had a blast! The drinks are delicious and cheap. You won't be disappointed. I immediately was profiled and accused of being someone they had problems with the night before. I had never been to this bar in my life this had been my first time. As they checked my ID the lady and gentlemen working outside made all kinds of comments towards me. Within 3-5 minutes of being let in, I sat down hadn't ordered a single thing, but the bartender can over pat me on the back and told me I needed to take a break because of the previous night. I explained I had not been there, but she did not believe and told me I look exactly like the lady she had issues with. Again I explained it was not me to which she still questioned if I was lying until I gave them my ID to check their systems. Of course it proved her wrong she apologized, but it had already created a scene in which everyone was staring so I decided to leave and will never return. read more

Untrained and ego driven security. Harassed me at the front door. Scanned my ID through a machine that keeps my identification and info on file... which I didn't want. Security then told me that I had a time limit on how long I could sit in my own vehicle in the parking lot. Then they searched me again and didn't search anyone else a second time (racially profiling clearly). Do Not Waste Your time if you're in Fresno. Better off going to Chili's or Buffalo Wild Wings. I tried to give this place a chance multiple times but every time I've gone the beers on tap tasted horrible no matter what beer we tried. It's like they never clean their taps. Even the water taste horrible there. Do yourself a favor and order the bottled beer or don't go at all! read more

I really love this little place. I have been visiting it here and there and have always been able to have a great time. They have darts and pool for games. The bar tenders are amazing they really know how to treat their customers and are always super friendly. And prices are great no complaints with them. I like to go out and enjoy myself from time to time and after I enjoyed my drinks and paid the bill. I was sucker punched by a patron and after being pushed out by Security and luckily not falling backwards. I want to give this place 5 stars because I have a thing for local dive bars of any region, but the consistent, shoddy beers take it down a couple notches. It seems like anytime I come in and order beer, it's always flat. Glasses served on them are not as clean as they should be. I've told the bartenders the beer was flat and they happily served me another one, but those were flat too! Bartenders, if the customer says beers are flat, check for yourself. Pour a little and take a taste. It won't hurt, but you'll notice the customer is right. Other than that, I can't complain. It's a dive bar. There's friendly locals of all variety. I'll come in one day alone and spark up a friendly conversation with a local. There's pool there too which is about a buck a play plus darts. This place turns into a club on Fridays I think. It's not too bad. They play old school rap and other hits. If they get this beer thing right over there, i'll update my score to 5. Get your beer game up The Other Bar! read more

Pretty chill bar for cheap drinks and drama free, also karaoke night on Saturdays I believe.

The cups are always gross. Order bottled beer if you can. Mixed drinks are basically all flat soda. Beer on tap is hot and flat.

Nothing too special, there should be a larger layout for thos place. The cleanliness is...ok. I think the issue is they just need to update. Speakers used should get upgraded, the energy level is meh, the drinks are good though and that seems to be their main focus but this place has nothing really to help them stand out. read more

Then when I asked her about it she said it was my fault. after that I put some money in the jute box machine and turned it off half way through the song. The place is dirty and over priced. I used to come here a lot with my hubby when we first got married (nearly 10 years ago) happy to see absolutely nothing has changed about this place. If you like the Brig, then you'll appreciate this place. They do have karaoke here, um but the crowd seems more annoyed by people singing. My review would tend to be toward those in attendance rather than the venue itself. The service here is top notch, its entertainment and providers threreof accommodating and hard working.
