"We're not sure you'd like that establishment. It's not the Petrossian in Vegas." "I know exactly what it is", I say. And I do. The interior is a jumble of signs, Halloween decorations and old pool tables with a huge wraparound bar which is populated by men only as we walk into the room. Blue collar boozers who are ready to be your new buddy if you give them a nod or, just as happy to respect your space if you don't. They are loud and happy. The barmaids are friendly and fabulous. It took just a few minutes to see that Paula is a straight shooter. Cheyanna is red haired and bejeweled and has a smile as big as Wyoming. The chef took our order. We came here for the beer prices, but stayed b/c of the ambiance, and FOOD. This was the best food I have had in a pub. We ate the Skyline Club & Railroad Deli sandwich, which was delicious. So we came back (the next day) for Shepherd's Pie and Corned Beef & Cabbage. Damn, that was so flavorful, as well as, the gravy for the Mashed Potatoes. The Blonde bartender was ON THE BALL, even thought it was super crowded. We LOVED her. The Ambiance was super chill, but exciting. A little too crowded for us, but it was St. Patrick's Day weekend. It used to be a busy fun, cheery place to be with great efficient service and nice people. It has drastically changed. I go there 2 nights per week and this time I brought a friend that had never been there. We went to sing karaoke and have a couple drinks but I've been noticing the change and last night was the final straw. I had been standing at the bar that was not busy waiting and waiting to order a drink when a loud mouthed drunk out of no where told me he could get me kicked out of there. I was about to respond when the bouncer comes over and tells me to get out. I was like are you serious? Then he came rushing at me like I was gonna resist! Then as I walked out him grabbing my arm, I said I need my purse from in there and he flat out said no! The friend that was with me went back in but couldn't find it and they told him it wasn't there. So I called the police. He put his hand on me and now wouldn't give me my wallet and my purse and I was getting it back. A cop went in there and guess what, it suddenly appeared! I wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble but that bouncer was way out of line and should be fired. That drunk must have been a family member or something because there were maybe 5 people in there that were regulars and I'd never seen him before but I've never not seen the girl he was with. I think she sleeps there. Anyway I think they will be out of business soon. No one orders the food anymore and it is hard to get the shuffle board items and they don't sand it. All the darts are broken, and there is one pool table that you only get to play on if you are a regular. This place has become an eye sore and it's infected. I'll go across the street from now on where people can actually sing and play instruments with more pool tables and sanded shuffle board. Good riddance Skyline! read more

Just so everyone knows, thanks to Covid-19, they don't open until noon. My mother called in and talked to Brine. She ordered the Cobb salad with vinaigrette(me) and ranch dressing(mother) on the side and their turkey, pepper jack on wheat sandwich. No mayo or mustard. She asked for jalapeños to be put on it also. It came with a choice of chips or potato salad. My mother picked potato salad. Told the order would be ready in 20 minutes. We went to pick it up. Brine was very nice. Welcoming and easy to talk to. We waited a few minutes, chatted shortly and the order was ready. It was a clean and nice, laid back bar. Paid for it and we left. Brine said they were going to have a party with a band once Covid-19 was over. Once open, got the food ready. All of it looked really good! Split everything in half. Good amount of food for the price! Lunch and dinner for us! The Cobb salad was amazingly good! Wow! Everything in it was fresh and delicious! From the chicken to the bacon, blue cheese crumbles, avocado and hard boiled egg! Fresh tomato too! Delicious! The turkey sandwich was also really good! Fresh and tasty. Great tomatoes and jalapeños. I have visited a few bars and clubs in Fresno, and out of the many times I have come here, I have never seen a bar fight. Skyline is simply a pleasant place is visit. It is not infested with ghetto people. The people who come here at night are general working-class folks looking to enjoy a night out and not looking to cause trouble.
