The Press Box is a perfect corner bar for those last minute hang out sessions and catching some sports on TV. Before I came here, I was told that the chicken fingers are, "a must order" so I got them along with two orders of bone-in wings. One tossed in BBQ sauce and the other tossed in a sweet thai chili sauce. The bone-in wings come six to an order and is a mix of flats and drum sticks. These were tasty, had a good amount of meat on the bone and sauced nicely. The chicken fingers here are trying to do too much; stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon, coated in breadcrumbs, and then deep fried. Sounds great in theory, but the chicken gets lost in all of the extra strong flavors and all you really taste is cheese and a tiny bit of bacon. Also, be careful biting into them while still hot. The grease can shoot out of the back of the finger and spray your hand. This happened to me, but luckily the grease wasn't too hot and didn't burn my hand. The staff here is awesome and the drinks were delish. Minus my chicken finger issue, I liked this small "kind of" sports dive bar. I'll be back! read more

My husband and I used to go very often and it was a good ambiance and great service. I have tried to get a drink three times once before 9pm, twice after 9 pm way before 10pm which is closing time according to your hours posted. I've been here twice so far. Great spot to hangout out and watch sports with a large number of TVs all over. The Avo Smash burger was flavorful, grilled with a nice crispy on the outer edge. Tater tots were crunch. I've also enjoyed the turkey melt with house salad too. Always a good portion size. read more

Neighborhood friendly: It's located at the end of a strip mall, it's not dank, unkempt, or seedy clientele. Its Clovis, I know I know! It's clean and has a welcoming vibe. The staff was attentive & happily experienced in customer service. I am a Gen X'er, so hearing original rock n roll music from the 60's & 70's was a pleasant surprise. Not that modern pop music and college kids aren't appreciated, just be prepared for a 25yr + crowd. There are booths along one wall, the bar is just as long on the other side. There are also tables & chairs, many tv screens, a mechanical dart board, so many brews on tap and a HUGE list of hard liquor & mixed drinks. Food: Very rare to find both good food AND drink in a bar/grill. Many other bar/grills claim to be, but alas they fall short. The menu is simple and nothing foo foo or complicated. I have never enjoyed any meal from a bar/grill over a restaurant before. A typical club sandwich on white bread & sweet potato fries have never tasted so good. At first I was disappointed my only bread options were just white & wheat, my bad. But not just white bread but TOASTED white bread. Toasting bread sounds so simple but it really makes the sandwich. Seriously good luck in finding better sweet potato fries anywhere else. Their MOAB (mother of all burgers) burger is so thick, I felt like I had to unhinge my jaw just to take first bite. And the tater tots. Ohhh we were fighting over the tater tots. I intended to finish my lunch with a cocktail. But I made a pig of myself with tots and 'tato fries. We love coming here every Friday night. It's our go to spot. The food is always great and the atmosphere. My son loves the pepperoni pizza & chicken quesadilla, my daughter loves the bbq chicken salad and the jukebox, mine are the avocado smash burger with extra creamy velveeta cheese and the pork chop with the raviolis in a white cream sauce. The atmosphere is lively and fun with really good music, plenty of TV's with various games on and friendly service from the staff. It had a great vibe of people who looked to be having enjoyable conversations and smiling and having a good time, really a positive vibe. We had the Italian meatballs for an appetizer and they were fantastic, very flavorful. I had the bacon cheeseburger and my husband had the Philly steak sandwich. Both were delicious!!! Amazing place! We were visiting from San Diego and wanted to watch a little Sunday football. Not really sure why there are mediocre reviews, this place does it right. They play the actual TV football audio and have a lot of seating options. Our waitress Hayley was on point, she was the only server on the floor in a very busy place but she was on top of it. She provided better service than the vast majority of establishments with multiple team members. Very impressed with her, she's an asset to this place. Pizza was fantastic, steak bites were incredible. Ranch is delicious! Drinks strong! When we walked in, it was fairly dead (I attribute that to COVID). But, greeted and seated promptly. There was a temperature scanning device at the door ! Placed an order through DoorDash to pick up food for my husband and I. I ordered potato skins and the chicken strips. My husband ordered some wings, steak bites and loaded fries. Did not want pico de gallo on my potato skins so in the customize options I selected everything EXCEPT pico de gallo. My husband comes home from picking up the food and not only did I get LOTS of pico de gallo on my potato skins, but I also did not receive my chicken strips at all. The fries looked pathetic and not really "loaded" (picture attached) and my husband's steak bites were burnt. I was willing to give this place another try after the last time I picked up an order from there and got raw-in-the-middle chicken strips, but no more. Husband and I are in agreement that we definitely won't be going back there. ****Update: when my husband went back for my chicken strips and they said they did not have any, they offered a burger instead. I thought that was nice of them so I told my husband sure, to just get me a plain burger with cheese and bacon. My husband comes back with the burger and it has cheese and no bacon. Burger also had almost no seasoning on it whatsoever (totally bland meat) and it was undercooked in the middle. Sticking with my initial statement that we won't be going back.
