As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted seated right away with menus in hand. The young lady took our drink orders & brought them out within minutes. All questions answered. This was our second time here and both of us were craving the Monte Cristo sandwich (was so delicious last time). Cook was waiting for eggs, now change of plans. To start out we got an order Warm Pretzels with Beer cheese, yum - try them out!Friend got the Chicken & Fries, order had 4 nice sized pieces of chicken & tasty fries. My order was the BLT, served on a nice soft bread, lots of bacon, couple slices of tomatoes & lettuce with the fries. All very good, great service & a fun place to checkout! Eat & support local!

Just one of many fun times at Grogg's!!

We ride the bike trail a lot, and no ride is complete without a stop at Grogg's. Some rides we even hit Grogg's twice, once at the start and then again at the end of the ride. We always get great service (I especially love days when we catch Josiah behind the bar.) My husband always goes for a cocktail, but I think Grogg's has some of the coldest taps in town, so I go for a beer. And their food is great! After a long ride and a lot of day drinking, the clucks and fries are exactly what you want to eat!!! We've rolled in just the two of us, my husband and I, or we've come in with a group as big as 25, and no matter what, we're always greeted with fast and friendly service. And the vibe is total neighborhood bar. I can't think of a single time I've been at Grogg's and didn't pick up a few new friends.

    Happy hour

A great friendly neighborhood place... they seem to all know each other, it's my first time here!

BLT with mushrooms instead of bacon & side salad with italian.

Stopped by here with some friends in the evening. Very fun, welcoming, laid back, chill, casual atmosphere. I enjoyed a BLT with mushrooms instead of bacon & also a side salad with Italian- good portion sizes. I also devoured some of their fries, fresh & crisp on the outside, hot on the inside. I ordered a soda, and our server, Amy, was very attentive with multiple refills, napkins, bbq sauce- whatever we needed. In addition to the beer and Margaritas that were enjoyed at our table, the food as a whole was quite tasty. Surprisingly lovely presentation of meals, food items, etc. Everything came out hot and fresh. We will be going back there again.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for the first time. It looks like an average bar with decent inside and outside seating. The staff was ok not rude or overly friendly. Our waitress was attentive until it got busy. There was a guy helping her but he kept walking by our table ignoring us or so it seemed. We went a good 30 minutes without a drink. This is why I gave them 3 stars. We started off with drinks. The drinks were decent. I didn't order anything complicated just a Jack and Sprite. The appetizers are pretty good. I had chicken strips with fries and pretzels with cheese. The food came out hot and flavorful . I liked the music that was playing and the option to put the app on your phone to select the music you want to hear. I would definitely come back one more time and hopefully the service is better.

After Zumba six of us wanted to go have something to eat, so we decided to try this restaurant. None of us have been here before. We were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress/bartender, Amy was so attentive, nice, and gave details about the menu. We will definitely be back.

Amy the waitress/bartender was very friendly and helpful. A couple of people in our group were vegetarians and she was very accommodating. The fish and chips were delicious and the mushroom hamburger was good. The fries with ketchup were super tasty!

I had a great time at Groggs while having lunch on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. Groggs is located on the corner of Willow/Nees in my favorite area of Fresno/Clovis. Our bartenders name was Josiah, and he did a great job taking care of my party. Josiah was prompt and very informational. I was able to get the Fish n Chips with a few bears and a couple glasses of Tullamore along the way. I tried the different combinations of Guiness drinks, including Bass, Cider, and Blue Moon. The Tullamore we chose was a special Cider Cask Edition, and it fit perfectly with my array of Guinness drinks. All in all a good time with great service, food, and drinks!

Brought my dog to lunch, taking a break from the Clovis trail. They had doggie bowls :)

It's just that spot I don't how to explain it but if you know you know! Happy hour is always the best time to come! Weekdays I think service is pretty quick they sit you down especially if there's no more than 3 in your party right away! I don't think I ever had a bad server everyone is always nice! All of my food items are solely based off happy hour APP! The ultimate appetizers that turns out to be a full meal lol Ambiance gives casual but can also be elegant. The place always looks clean and professional. I ordered their truffle mushroom pizza. It has shiitake and oyster mushrooms on it with their truffle aioli sauce drizzled. It has such a nice umami taste and it blends very well on the pizza. Next order I got is the shiitake garlic noodles and omggg such a nice savory noodle dish. I love anything garlicky lol The 3rd app is the fried calamari, I've honestly had better elsewhere. I like more octopus legs and I feel like it's more bread than the calamari itself IMO. Last but not least is the poke nachos. Hands down the best of the app they have IMO. I'm such a sucker for anything poke related. If you don't like tuna or anything that's raw disregard.

Other party members had salmon salads and another roll- they said it was very good. The whiskey flights and selection were pretty cool. I only tried a couple and they were nice. Our flight was ~$50 and we got another whiskey after that along with a lemon drop (very smooth 8/10). With 6 appetizers for the table, 3 rolls, udon with tempura, miso soup, 3 desserts, whiskey flight, 2oz whiskey, coke, iced tea, strawberry lemonade, wings, and chicken salad + the 20% mandatory gratuity for a large party and tax, we spent just over $600. So pretty dang expensive, but we enjoyed the food and ambience. The service was decent- not amazing, not poor. Overall, we were happy and will be going back for more whiskey flights soon.

Before I came here, I was told that the chicken fingers are, "a must order" so I got them along with two orders of bone-in wings. One tossed in BBQ sauce and the other tossed in a sweet thai chili sauce. The bone-in wings come six to an order and is a mix of flats and drum sticks. These were tasty, had a good amount of meat on the bone and sauced nicely. The chicken fingers here are trying to do too much; stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon, coated in breadcrumbs, and then deep fried. Sounds great in theory, but the chicken gets lost in all of the extra strong flavors and all you really taste is cheese and a tiny bit of bacon. Also, be careful biting into them while still hot. The grease can shoot out of the back of the finger and spray your hand. This happened to me, but luckily the grease wasn't too hot and didn't burn my hand. The staff here is awesome and the drinks were delish. Minus my chicken finger issue, I liked this small "kind of" sports dive bar. I'll be back!

So yeah, that long. I'm on vacation this week and didn't want it to be a stay-cation. In fact, I was hoping to get away for at least an overnight trip. I was thinking, Santa Cruz, Tahoe, Lots Angeles even. I shoot my ideas over to my wife and she says, I was thinking Dave and Busters. Clearly we were on different pages. But I understand where she is coming from, and as you can see, her idea won out. We don't tell the kids where we are going. They just know we are going somewhere for lunch and that it's a surprise. We pull up and my youngest says, I've always wanted to come here! We drive past it every week on the way to gynastics so I shouldn't have been surprised. The older kids barely remember going to D&B as kids, so it's a treat for them too. We walk in and we get the biggest gift ever by a guy with his boys walking out. He has an all day pass that he wants to give to us. We can use it for tickets, but the games will be free. We come to find out that there is a 30 second freeze on the card in between uses, but we learn to adjust. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We order our food, ensuring that we order from the menu where we can get a game card. Best bang for our buck. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce. Three of my kids got cheese burgers and my wife got the wings. Everyone enjoyed their food. What my son and I really wanted was the Buffalo chicken sandwich that comes with blue cheese, but it didn't come with a game card. In addition to the free all-day card we received, we ended up with 4-$10 gaming cards, but those go quick! Like, 15-20 min. Mostly by my daughter playing games that earn tickets. My oldest is more interested in skill games. There's one in the middle where you step on lights on the ground or touch them on the wall. We did that one as a family. Lots of fun. We spent about 2 hours there. I'm sure the boys would have stayed longer if they could but my daughter was winding down. Before we leave, we pass the all-day card to another family. She also kept telling us she was working a double shift and that she's tired not sure why we need to know that information also she would take 25 mins to bring in our drinks and then she would say "I'm just one person I can't carry everything" which I felt was very rude and I know everyone else did. We ended up asking a gentlemen walking by to help us out with dips and sauces for the food and drinks and he did which was so kind of him. We spent over $500 on my mom's party and the server was just not the best. Very sweet girl but Brooklyn seemed like she was overwhelmed and didn't want to do it. Also my guest all had different tabs for drinks and she got our drinks mixed on different tabs and told us she couldn't fix it and if they don't mind just paying for somebody else's drink. When closing out the tabs she was telling us to leave a tip here (on the screen) and didn't give anybody receipts after we asked for them. And we find out the next day from Tere the event coordinator that there's an automatic gratuity charge of %20 on each guest tab because we are a party.. which was very unfortunate because we were not told that and we were still tipping her at the end on the card. Randy was the only one who told me when signing my contract and paying remaining balance that there's an automatic tip no need to tip. But I didn't know it applied to all my guest tabs when they were ordering drinks as well. Very inconvenient and the event coordinator should let people know there's automatic gratuity for everyone in your party and every transaction because you guys are a party. The managers were amazing but the server was not the best at all. And now I know for the future and I'll make sure to share that if you book a party here request two servers and that there's automatic gratuity in each transaction we do because we are a party.

This is just a beer bar, so beers and seltzers only. I went with the Crow and Wolf Ocean Blast seltzer; a blue coconut, mango, pineapple, and lime beverage. Insanely good and refreshing on a hot afternoon. My wife went a peach seltzer that was just as tasty. We sat in the backyard area, that offers plenty of seating, a few TVs, and a ordering window so you don't need to head to the inside bar to order more drinks. The out area has smoking and non-smoking sections and is dog friendly, but they must be leashed. For food, we went the tri-tip BBQ pizza and a soft pretzel. The pizza was delicious and the perfect size for two people. Huge chunks of tri-tip, spicy BBQ sauce, and very cheesy. I asked for jalapenos on the side for an extra kick of heat. Right now is the perfect time to hit up this place since the weather has been so beautiful. Make sure to check their Instagram page for live music and keep supporting local!

They have a little bit of everything from food to coffee (before 2pm) to cigars to local breweries on tap. I wasn't expecting much when our friend ordered their pizza, but oh man was it delicious! The crust is nice and crispy and it has the perfect amount of toppings, we also got the tri tip sandwich that comes on Dutch crunch bread and who doesn't like a nice Dutch crunch?! The bbq sauce was also delicious and I loved how the tri tip was not too thin, not too thick. They have so many different offerings, I noticed they have a 'beer float' which I will order with Crow & Wolf's Dark Wolf next time. They have so many event we happened to go on open mic night and it was a nice chill experience, but I'm really looking forward to trivia night on Tuesdays. Give this place a try because it's better than I anticipated, even my husband enjoyed it and we both can't wait to go back.
