The drinks were great. I got an old fashioned smoked and without smoke. It was definitely an experience to get the smoked version. The staff takes a lot of pride in their drinks. My drinks were made with precision! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean. I would go back if I was in the area and wanted a drink. Why not 5 stars? Well... the food. There wasn't anything memorable about it. The burger and nachos were decent. If I hadn't ordered the food, I would have gone with 5 stars.

The scenery is beautiful. It's on the rooftop and there was music. We went for a bday party and loved it. The pizza was so good and the food would honestly keep me coming back. The drinks weren't all that great and the glasses and sizes are a hit and miss. They were very attentive and nice, which I appreciate greatly. Great spot for a nice together or date night.

First trip to Quail State - great drinks and food. Cool vibe, fun to be rooftop in downtown Fresno! One thing: service was pretty slow.

No Seeds Attatched and Berry Much Needed. Excellent choices for hot days.

Food and drink are amazing as always. Staff continues to spoil us. They are amazing and super friendly. These drinks are No Seeds Attatched and Berry Much Needed. Perfect drinks to beat the heat.

This is a solid little bar, I came here when they open and it was cute and intimate. On the weekend they did have live music on their "roof top" and it was good. I wouldn't call this a roof top, you can't see the city but you can see the neighboring ac units lol. It's still a vibe tho. Drinks are 5/5. Presentation 5/5. Service 5/5. Venue 5/5.

I am so happy Quail State is serving food! I have had their pizzas, empanadas, and my favorite ... the kimchi potstickers! They change up the menu and the drink specials monthly. Insider info - ask for Mandeep's Scotch Cocktail! It's not on the menu, but YKYK. If you are not a scotch drinker, you will LOVE this!!! Trust me! Bartenders are knowledgable and sitting outdoors is lovely this time of year.

My GF and I popped in there yesterday evening after taking the loft tour on the 10th floor. Inside is small and quaint so we decided to go outside to the 'rooftop' of the 2nd floor. I was happy to see that they had a mechanical lift that was able to lift me u to the elevated patio to the rooftop. My GF and I had a long convo with Brother Mandip. I appreciated the fact that he was busy with his bar on the inside yet he took time and had a good convo with s out in the patio. I'm glad that there's people like him that believe in DTF and the energy that it has. We need to multiply him by 1000!! Yes I'm 'one of those' corporate guys that LOVES YARDHOUSE! Lolol. But it serves its purpose. I will support his venue. He made a DELICIOUS espresso martini! I rec this place for sure.

No food?! All good at least the cocktails were delicious! Located on the 2nd floor of the Pacific Southwest Building, Quail State is a sleek cocktail bar that has great aesthetics, both indoor and out. It was empty when we arrived, but it was a Monday around 6pm. We sat on their outdoor patio, which holds about 30 people? No more food served here, but you can bring food in with you. The cocktail menu here is long and there's literally something for type of booze lover. I went with a light bourbon cocktail, I forgot the name, but it was surprisingly refreshing for brown liquor based drink. A great place to start the night before heading out and exploring the Tower or DT Fresno.

Read: they don't do food anymore! And food, even just nibbles would have been a great addition. But cocktails coming in hot! My homeboy & I wandered into this beautiful old building and went up to floor 2 and sat outside and ordered off of this very robust cocktail menu list. And the cocktails were so good. Some solid music coming from a little Bluetooth speaker, was funny but also really highlighted how much potential this spot has. Can you bring in food? I don't know. Can you reserve that patio for all your soirée needs? I'd hope so and what a great spot for a cocktail party. Even the inside, while narrow with a long bar was quite unique and historic. The bartender was great and again, those cocktails were beautiful and well made. Pictured is a tequila - lime - ginger - jalapeno drink. Overall, so much potential with great cocktails.

The size of the straw was the same size as the drink lol whyyy??? lol

Not sure what's going on with this place. It's dead and losing it's once memorable charm. I used to bring friends here for their first time due to its intimate environment on Fresno's only rooftop bar. We walked in and the bartender looks at us, we greet her before she does. The plants on the window sill looked yellow and immediate TLC and watering. So many red flags already... We sit outside on the rooftop waiting for service. Nothing. There's a group of 3 on the rooftop with us. 4-6 people inside? It's a Saturday night, 10pm. It's dead. We were confused why we weren't being served after sitting outside for a few minutes. We go back inside for service. I see a customer sit down at a table. We get to the bar, the customer gets up and goes behind the bar. The customer is actually a worker. She took our order and she explains service is only at the bar because of an incident where one of their workers was serving folks outside and the heat made her pass out. It would have been nice to know that when we were sitting outside with no service. We got our drinks soon after we ordered. Drinks are overpriced $14-16 for customer service and weak small drinks. They werent pretty either. The Paloma tall drink was served with a straw that was the same height as the cup. Lol. Why would they do that? Lol. When we were leaving, the bartenders were cheers-ing each other taking shots. We made eye contact again, and said good bye first. They really don't seem to care, period, lol. This place used to be one of a kind in Fresno. That's too bad. I don't plan to return or bring any friends here anymore. It's not worth the effort or time. Hope they improve to get their shine back...

Cute spot, great views, nice ambiance. The drinks are delicious and made to order. Had a great time!

Quail State really oversold itself online and under-delivered in person. I came here excited to check out the rooftop since Quail State advertises itself as Fresno's only rooftop bar. Unfortunately, the rooftop was closed for a private event that wasn't listed anywhere on their Google account. Inside was uncomfortably hot--no proper AC, just swamp coolers. The bartender seemed rushed, and the drinks were mediocre at best. For $17 a drink, I expected much better quality and larger portions. Definitely not worth the hype. Separate Note on Service: When I asked the bartender what drink he recommends or what his best drink is, he seemed annoyed by the question. His reaction actually made me feel uncomfortable enough that I decided to leave. He did say he was sorry once he realized I noticed his anger, but the experience had already been soured. For a bar that advertises itself as a top spot, that kind of service was really disappointing.
