My wife and I have ate here twice now, and it's quickly becoming a favorite place for special occasions! The staff is very friendly and attentive! When making the reservation, i made a note that it was our anniversary! When we arrived and checked in, the hostess acknowledged our anniversary, as did our server! Some high end places get a little skimpy, especially with the sides. Not here! This time around, I ordered the Prime Rib, got the whipped potatoes and substituted the Brussels sprouts. Both were generous portions. Also love the added touch that they'll give you fresh horseradish to go along with the horseradish cream for a little extra kick. My wife had the Ribeye, which we've both ordered before, and it's delicious. She ordered the cashew green beans, but they were very saucy and some were burnt. When brought up to the server, she said she would have the kitchen make her a fresh ordered without hesitation. Within a few minutes, a nice sized portion of fresh Cashew Green Beans arrived! The Wedge Salad is also delicious and generously portioned. It could actually be a meal for someone, if so inclined. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and private. We've sat inside and on the patio, and actually preferred the patio seating! I can't say enough about the hospitality of the staff though. There's a gentleman who is either the lead host or a manager, that's been there both times. He takes a personal interest in the customers and makes sure to visit each table, which you don't often see. As we were walking out, he was also walking out behind us. Having spent some time in Palo Alto, my way of eating out has definitely changed. Add to that the privilege and luxury of going to dinner with my mom, my wife, and my two sisters, all of whom I can always count on to not finish their meals, and let's just say... yes, I ended up eating all of this food, even if I didn't technically order it. LOL. We started with the SURF & TURF appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. The moment I tasted the ponzu sauce, I already knew I had a plan because I had spotted Bacon Fried Rice on the menu. I immediately thought: "That ponzu sauce over bacon fried rice would be incredible." We also ordered the CALAMARI STRIPS with chipotle aioli, and they were amazing. Crispy, flavorful, and the aioli took them to another level. Next, I ordered the house salad with champagne vinaigrette, and let me tell you something right now: I plan to stop by once a week just to buy that vinaigrette. It is THAT good. Then everyone's meals arrived, and I noticed my master plan was working perfectly because there were two pieces of steak and shrimp ponzu left over. So naturally, I ordered the bacon fried rice. When it came out, everyone at the table started laughing because they knew EXACTLY what I was about to do. I combined the steak and shrimp with the bacon fried rice and poured every last drop of ponzu sauce over the top. DELICIOUS!!!! At this point, everyone started slowing down, which in my family means: "Send all leftovers to Sebastian." LOL. The Miso Glazed Black Cod was the best cod I have ever tasted. Then came the LL Prime Rib, it was so tender I could cut it with my fork. Bold, smoky flavor throughout. I'm sorry, but I have to say it... it was even better than the prime rib at Richard's in Fresno. And finally... the Bread Pudding. WHOEVER thought of using baklava to make bread pudding is a genius. I've had plenty of bread pudding, but NOTHING compares to this dessert. The flavor simply cannot be matched. Honestly, it's even better than Cracked Pepper's. Yes, I said it!!! First time I had been here in years. This was a mix of ok and great food. The artichoke spinach dip and steak hamburger was ok. Could have had more flavor. Remembering the sand dabs I had last time, I went with the sole and it was out of this world. Our server was nice enough to tell us we could interchange sides so I got bacon fried rice, which was outstanding. The only blah part on the dish was the spinach as it had no flavor. Hit a couple pet peeves hard: made us wait 15 minutes for a 9pm reservation when the restaurant was nowhere near full; the hostess acted like it was our fault we weren't sitting with "well this is your table right here. It's ready."; we couldn't tell who our server was. The martinis were great! Bartender was helpful and made a nice drink. The food was really good. We got lots of apologies for the delay and mix up but no one checked on us and I had to flag down our server to take my card for payment. We'll return for sure for drinks and food. I love the bar area, the dimly lit lounge area, and their cozy outdoor patio. We sat on the patio and just ordered a bunch of apps and few glasses of wine. It wasn't very busy, but our server didn't come to our table for nearly 5-minutes, before finally stopping to take our drink orders. We all went with rosé, but Limelite has a full bar with a handful of craft cocktails, beers, and an extensive wine list. Our server arrived around 5 minutes in which she promptly took our orders. Food arrived with 15 minutes. 5 of 5 stars. Food/Offering: For starters, we ordered the Calamari Strips. As far as main courses, the wife had Wood Grilled Salmon while I had the Wood Fired Ribeye. For dessert, we had the Bread Pudding (which by the way was comped for our Anniversary reservation). I can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed everything - from the appetizer all the way to the dessert. Our server was terrific from beginning to end. I guessed we missed out all these years. 5 of 5 stars. Overall: I love this place! A little on the pricey side but I'm always willing to pay for a good meal and good service. We just had a 50th birthday party for my wife here , and I want to say " Thank you ' to the amazing staff at The Lime Lite. First, they allowed us to show up before they opened and set up the room that we had reserved for 12 people. The Fig room was beautiful with music playing , and a private entrance. She made sure our drinks were topped off ,and that everyone had food at all times. My family never felt rushed to order ,or felt hurried to eat. We had a nice family style dinner, and enjoyed every minute of it. Now , let me tell you about the food! Wow! For appetizers, we chose the surf and turf , calamari, and butternut squash raviolis. In my opinion, the surf and turf is something that I would go back for every day of the week. The steak was so tender and the sweet and spicy sauce was heavenly. There were thin slices of Fresno chile peppers throughout that made this dish pop. I highly recommend this as a must try! For entrees, my wife ordered the filet mignon which came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Perfectly cooked, this steak was melt in your mouth good ,and the broccolini was flavored with garlic and parmesan. I chose the halibut which came with a roasted potato and broccolini hash. While the flavor was good, it didn't look that appealing. All of our guests loved the food, and had a great time! This was truly a memorable experience for us. The reviews on this place are well deserved, and I can't wait to come back to what I would call one of the best restaurants that I have ever tried. Tried this place for the first time when I came for a presentation so my dinner was paid for it. The fillet was a small portion but filling. The crab pastry on top of it was good. The wedge salad had a sufficient amount of blue cheese dressing, which made a delicious along with all of the fixings. The honey breaded cauliflower was unexpectedly delicious. Easy 5 stars! My husband just got his PhD and we wanted to celebrate. We showed up without a reservation, because it was a last minute plan. Being new to the area we just found the restaurant via yelp and hoped for the best. We ended up being greeted by someone who seemed like the owner or manager, who got us a booth outside on the patio. The entire service team was incredibly nice and accommodating and welcoming. I have a dairy allergy and they didn't even blink an eye in helping me with how to order and making alterations so I could still eat the delicious food. I ordered the Surf N Turf appetizer, Wagyu steak, and the bread pudding. Both of the tempura shrimp and steak were delicious with the sauce (I think it was ponzu sauce). The steak was cooked medium rare with a side of mashed potatoes. That was one of the best steaks I've had in Fresno. The bread pudding with ice cream on top was sweet and had me wanting more. Wedge was an extremely generous portion and definitely one for blue cheese lovers! Mains were Filet with Dungeness Crab Wellington (incredible!) and the halibut (a bit under temp and oily, with overly al dente broccolini). When the server then manager learned of our concerns with one of our entrees, they worked quickly to try to make it right by offering an entirely different dish at no charge. Not necessary by any means but certainly appreciated all the same. Lastly had their take on bread pudding. Different and delicious. I made online reservations for my wife and I on a Saturday night, and the only availability was at 8:45pm, which was relatively late for us. The bright side was the restaurant was less occupied and that likely contributed to the service and attention we received. We started with the surf and turf and tuna Tataki, both of which were plated beautifully and full of layered flavors and textures. For our main course we had the seared scallops and heritage pork chop, both of which were cooked to perfection and I would highly recommend. For dessert we had the bread pudding, which was more biscuit/cake than "pudding" and not quite what we were expecting.
