Our server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the classic egg breakfast and ordered their mimosa. My dad got the chilaquiles and for the price, the portion was small. The food was good but for the price I wouldn't go back. I've had better breakfast for a cheaper price around Clovis/Fresno. Add breakfast at yolk this morning about 9 AM. They require a few people in there for being first thing in the morning. The restaurant was clean, so were the restrooms. We were greeted by a pleasant smile as soon as we walked in and seated right away. The restaurant has a nice vibe. Our waiter was super nice. I totally loved my mimosa. It was super cute. We were looking for a new breakfast place and found this one online. We were greeted with a smile when we walked in. It was standing room only so we had to sit at the bar. A table opened up and we were seated at a table next to the window, our waitress Jade was absolutely amazing, friendly, informative, attended to our needs and most of all had a great positive attitude and made us smile. I do enjoy this place, but it does have some quirks. The meals aren't cheap and I did not want additional carbs so I asked that rather than put potatoes in my burrito that they just put in some tomatoes. I was told that I couldn't have tomatoes, but that they would just double the meat. Obviously these are made to order so I'm not sure why a restaurant such as this won't cook the food to order as asked. Additionally... What restaurant doubles your Protein? That's the most expensive Item in your dish usually. I've been here a couple times now and White staff is never too attentive. I'm not sure what that's all about. That being said... I've ate here 3 times and each time I ate something different. The best thing was the tri-tip and egg plate. It comes with a compound butter and it's tender and juicy. The worst thing I got was the burrito, it had more potatoes than meat,lacked flavor and the tortilla was a bit tough even though the presentation looks great. They don't take reservations but you can call ahead and add your name to the list so I highly recommend doing so beforehand to make sure you don't wait long (especially on a weekend). I went to Yolked around their first opening week and I thought it was tastefully delicious! My whole party was satisfied and some menu items payed homage to New Mexico culture which touched some hearts in my group. I believe we were all satisfied with our orders other than the coffee because at the time all they offered was dripped coffee so when a member of my party asked for iced they were a bit confused and poured some hot coffee over 3 ice cubes. I have yet to try their new coffee menu selection, but I assume they heard us loud and clear. The inside was very cute and clean which was pleasant and I love that this restaurant was themed around EGGS! (My favorite protein other than steak and fish) The menu had a few options and everyone appeared satisfied but myself I found myself searching the menu for ONE THING.... Eggs Benedict... I'm sorry but if you're called yolked id assume you'd have the best yolky eggs benny in town, now I don't know if they've been added just yet but I highly recommend them being added to the menu. I did try their crochet madame (I'm not sure if I got that right) and it was very good so I was not disappointed but had their been a benny option I'd hop right on it! Waiter was horrible. Food took a hour to come out. When the food came out it wasn't even right. Took them 1 hour half to bring 1 pancake. Everything delayed Ashley the manager was nice and calm. Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had especially for a breakfast cafe typa spot, and I've literally tried damn near every cafe in this town. We came around 11 a.m. and were told there would be about a one-hour wait, even though there were multiple employees standing around and several tables that appeared empty. We decided to wait anyway, but things didn't improve from there. Once seated, we were placed outside in direct sunlight. We asked twice if the umbrella could be adjusted so we wouldn't be sitting in the sun, and both times we were told no. Apparently the look of the setup mattered more than the comfort of customers. Then we found out they were already out of whole milk and chicken for the day, which seems pretty early to be running out of basic menu items. The menu itself was also surprisingly limited, for example they only serve beef chorizo, which felt like an odd restriction when most places offer other options. Service was extremely slow, and we were barely checked on. Meanwhile, other tables nearby were being asked if they needed anything or how their food was multiple times. Also, $8 for a tiny glass of coffee (maybe a few sips) that wasn't even particularly good is pretty wild. When we tried to talk to a manager about the experience, the first one we spoke to was very dismissive and rude. As we were leaving, another manager tried to convince us to stay by saying the menu had changed, but at that point the experience had already been frustrating enough that we decided to just leave. The place clearly puts a lot of effort into the aesthetic, but unfortunately the actual customer experience didn't live up to the hype. read more

This place is a hard NO, NEVER again for me. It was our first time and we invited another couple to join us for brunch. When we arrived, the ladies in the front greeted us and asked if we were on the waitlist. Told them we didn't know there was an option to be on the waitlist, didn't see anything like that on their website. So we ended waiting a little over 30 minutes. Once it was our turn one of the girls came out and got us and then we received a text that our table was ready. Sat us at our table and our server came and greeted us. She was really nice. Once we ordered, I went to go wash my hands and when I walked towards the back all I could smell was a dirty dusty rug/vacuum smell. Didn't really think anything of it. After getting back to my table, food came out in average amount of time. I took my cloth napkin and wiped my mouth after a sip of my drink. All I could smell was nasty wet mildew smell on the napkin. I wanted to throw up. I smelled my husband's napkin and it was fine, I told my friend to smell hers and her husbands. My friend also had a very dirty wet smelling napkin. We had to ask for new silverware and new cloth napkins but I was so disgusted I just asked for paper napkins. Our server was super shocked and did apologized but did have the look like whhhattt?? Are you sure??? I think that is what did it for me, I didn't enjoy the food and I had to smell everything before I ate it. My Christmas burrito was good but not amazing. The red sauce tasted like canned sauce. So I wasn't impressed by all the hype of this restaurant. It was definitely smaller than what I thought it was going to be. Had brunch with my girls party of 4 with 2 kids. No reservations I was the first to arrive it's was about 1130am thankfully they were not busy. They sat us at the booth in front of the restaurant. It was clean and the interior was beautiful. Ashley was our server. She brought us water but it was room temp so we asked for ice. Took some time to look over the menu. They have breakfast that's served all day and a few that served until 11 AM. Lunch menu is served from 11 AM to 2 PM. I ordered a Stackin Pancakes for my toddler and I ordered the Christmas burrito. My friends ordered the breakfast fried rice, green chili enchiladas, and the big dipper. Everything came out fairly quick, everything was hot and the presentation was beautiful. The Christmas burrito was huge the salsa, especially the green one was delicious. The meat was tender and potatoes were good. But the meat to potato ratio was off. Noticed there were only a few pieces of meat, and the majority of the burrito was filled with potatoes. The pancakes were delicious and fluffy. I tried my friend's breakfast fried rice and it was yum!!! It was perfect balance of flavors and the kimchi was so good. Everyone else said they liked their dishes. Yolked Kitchen is a refreshing reminder that we can have both gorgeous aesthetics and elevated food in the Central Valley. My wife and I decided to pop in for a midweek, brunch date. We sat at the bar and I ordered an iced coffee and my wife went for a mimosa. This mimosa had an amazing presentation. A frozen orange juice ball is placed into the center of the glass and champagne is poured over it, giving it the resemblance of an egg yolk. I love those kind of details. I ordered the Christmas breakfast burrito, and my wife ordered the Croque Madame. The presentation on both of these items was gorgeous with bright colors and unique dish-ware. My Xmas burrito was ginormous and loaded with braised pork chunks, potatoes, cheese and wrapped in a flour tortilla. Then topped with a red and green (hence Christmas burrito) chile sauce and one egg! The flavor combos were incredible and had me shoveling in forkfuls even after I was already stuffed. The two sauces on top had just enough kick to set off braised pork salty flavor. If this is your first time here, I highly recommend this burrito as the gateway drug to the rest of this awesome menu. My wife's Croque Madame was just as good, if not better, and had a gorgeous presentation. This is two slices of soft bread pan fried with sliced ham, gruyere cheese, a spicy mustard spread, covered in bechamel sauce, with a sunnyside egg on top. Pure glutinous decadence at its finest and we felt zero shame in eating this! If you've never had a Croque Madame, just think of a Monte Cristo sandwich minus all sugary additions. If you've never had either then I feel bad for you. My only beef about this place is that it's not closer to my house. So this place has been on my bucket list since rumors starting popping up that 13 Prime & Executive Chef Tommy Chavez were up to something. Well if you like breakfast or you don't this place will make you a believer. Ambience is pretty relaxed with optional seating at the bar and even the patio out back along the trail. We opted for the patio since we didn't want to wait any longer. Service was exceptional with no issue at all, very attentive and not overwhelming either. For food we went with a seasonal drink "Cupids Kiss" and a "All the Works" Bloody Mary., I couldn't resist even though a Old Fashioned on the menu was calling my name. Four our meals we went with a B&G "Biscuits & Gravy" and I went with the "Netflix & Chill a quiles" I will be honest I usually don't order chilaquiles because most places either over sauce them or let them sit under a heat lamp for awhile making the tortilla chips soggy. So I did hesitate. But don't if that's what you like, they came out perfectly crunchy all the way to the last bite, not sure how they pulled that off. The sunny side egg on top was the crown jewel though, because that is my daily struggle to find in a restaurant or even for me at home even with my many years in the restaurant business. I arrived at 9am on a Sunday and there were lots of seating. I did notice around 10:00am-10:30am it got packed. Waiting staff, ambience, food and attention to details were all 1000%. I loved how they gave me a tiny spoon to stir my coffee with. They had just opened so it was pretty slow when we first arrived but it didn't take long to fill up. They don't take reservations so I'd definitely try to get there earlier than later. The space was open and bright with lots of natural light. They have table and bar seating. Service was prompt and very accommodating throughout our visit. To eat I had the breakfast taco with a housemade tortilla. It was pretty solid. It had a good amount of filling and was very flavorful. I liked that they served it with a jalapeno on the side. I also ordered pancakes to share, they were delicious! Very fluffy and sweet and more than enough to share with the table. I had coffee to drink and one of my friends tried to order hot tea, however they only had caffeinated black tea which she couldn't have. Decided to stop in & try Yolked out being it just opened, glad I did! Alight, let's get to the food being that's truly the most important (other than service), shall we! So I got the Christmas Burrito & like the name states, it is like Christmas, but in your mouth! So, let's start with the pork. It is nice & tender, good flavor, with no fat gristle or chunks (shocking right). The red & green sauce is also very good with good flavors, but if you don't like spicy then you might want to skip the green sauce. The egg on top is what I would consider to be a perfectly cooked Sunnyside up egg. Would it also be considered the star, far as presentation goes?! Let's not forget about the potatoes, again, perfectly cooked to my liking! And as you can see, the overall plate has a nice presentation. Definitely has a "fine dining" feel to the place, but with a nice/causal vibe. Now, the bar area definitely throws me off. I get it, but still. But hey, if you're wanting a drink for breakfast or a drink for brunch, you are definitely covered! Service is nice & friendly, will definitely be going back!
