Came to try the creme brulee coffee since I've been on the hunt for Vietnamese egg coffee. This was the closest I've found. Drink was tasty with a soft custard on top and the coffee was nice and strong similar to a Vietnamese coffee. Pricy but worth it. Location is far from me; otherwise I could go more often. This might be my top matcha spot. With the exception of Tuesday, they open quite early, so they are a great option for an early caffeine hit. The drinks are a bit slower to make earlier in the morning since there are not as many workers, but they are quite efficient during lunch and dinner. The drinks have stellar matcha quality, and the toppings are extremely rich. The baseline sugar level is lower than 100% and the toppings lean on the sweeter side, so the balance is perfect. Even without ice adjustments, the base drink is not heavily iced, so it does not get too diluted. *Creme Brulee Matcha: comes with an adorable spoon to mix in the thick layer of cream. Each top is perfectly torched, and the creme brulee layer is some of the creamiest I have had. This tends to be a bit sweeter than their other options, so I would reduce the sugar level even further. *Strawberry Matcha: sweet and tart strawberry puree pairs so well with the earthy matcha. This offers the perfect amount of fruitiness and natural sweetness. *Coconut Jelly: the coconut jelly base comes with a variety of fruit jam. The coconut jelly itself was rather nutty and milky, but not too sweet on its own. As a result, most of the flavor came from the choice of fruit. I wish the fruit layer were a bit thicker, as the ratio of jelly to fruit was off. This place is such a gem for Fresno and I have to stop by whenever I am in the area. The matcha is so deceiving. I've tried the matcha einspanner twice now and I can barely taste any of the matcha even though it looks like it would be flavorful. It's not bad, it doesn't taste bad at all- it's just ok. My boyfriend got a vanilla latte and he absolutely loves it. The interior is spacious and it's normally quiet. I think this is a great place to just grab drinks with your friends as something to do but not a place if you want some really good matcha. ICED COFFEE MATCHA CREAM : I'm suprised that they brought in Vietnamese coffee into this branch. Vietnamese coffee always hit the spot. Their vietnamese coffee was rich, strong, earthy, thick and bitter. The matcha didn't change the flavor much here. The matcha and Vietnamese coffee does not go well together but it's ok. It's a bit unique but I just prefer them to be separate. The matcha slighlty cover the bitterness from the Vietnamese coffee though... They are slowly cleaning up the space and make room for more kiosk and drink pick up. They also add more drinks to the menu. We have heard the matcha was ceremonial and delightful. We came when there was an afternoon rush. You walk in, stand in line and order yourself on the kiosk. I like this idea, because it means if the order is wrong, I did it! The store was busy we waited about 4 minutes to place the order, it was incredibly easy, you are told how the drinks are made according to default order to maximize flavor. You do have the option to customize levels of sweetness, the amount of ice, milk type including corn milk and other non dairy options. Decor: you know I care whether the decor is clean. The shelves were dusted and clean. Things around the counters were cleaned, stocked and organized. Trash cans were empty and clean. Could not really see the prep area it's kind of blocked off. Strawberry Matcha: 2% milk, 30% ice, regular boba added. The cream layer on top was thick almost pudding like, which was very pleasant on the tongue and went well with the matcha! The floral notes of the strawberry came through. It was ordered with default sweetness. It was great. Banana Matcha: the banana cream on top was extremely comforting, like Sunday dinner with the family. It was very reminiscent of banana pudding all thick, silky and luscious! The banana flavor was not the over powering banana flavoring style like candy. It was more muted, almost natural tasting and soft and delicate but ever present. The customer service is this style of ordering is really not present. Your number is called. You walk up grab your coffee and sit down. There was nothing wrong with this style, it just removes the human interaction. The minimal contact with the employee was kind and pleasant. I didn't realize I was going to miss the human interaction with a barista. Would we return: Yes, we have already picked our next drinks out! I had been hearing so much hype from this place and I could not wait to try it! It's about a 35 minute drive from my house so it's definitely a place. I can only visit on the weekends. However, they do have online ordering, which is super convenient if you wanna order ahead and pick it up to take to go. But inside it was super cute and it's pretty big. I feel like Fresno really needed a spot like this because every single drink is Instagramable, but also super delicious! I ordered a head on their website three different drinks and we ended up with four because they made one incorrectly so they let us keep the incorrect one as well which was very nice. I ordered the strawberry Matcha, banana cream latte, and the tiramisu Matcha. And the drink that we got for free was the banana cream Matcha, which was supposed to be coffee. When I walked in my drinks were already ready and they keep them in a refrigerator until you come in to get them. They were so friendly, quick, and attentive to whatever you need. Also, one of the best things is the quality! They are inclusive of all die diet and restrictions. For example, all of our drinks were made with oat milk. Since this was my first time, I still wanted to try their infamous cream at the top, which I know is not dairy free, but it's very delicious and it's a different flavor depending on what drink you got. When you order online or on their kiosk inside, you can see that you can choose how much ice you want, how sweet you want your drink, the type of milk you want, and I believe they even have sugar-free options. I am so excited to have a matcha cafe in Fresno! I've been here twice now. Service is quick. You order at a kiosk and they call out your drink, so no real interaction with any employees. There's a lot of seating and it's not overly loud, so grab a drink and get some work done or chit chat with friends. What I've tried: Hojicha cream latte: I got this with the corn milk and it had the perfect amount of sweetness to compliment the nuttiness of the hojicha. The cream top was soo good too. I added boba and it was nice, chewy, and perfect amount of sweet. Strawberry matcha latte: I got this with the double matcha as recommended at the default 50% sugar. It was just enough sweet to cut the grassy bitterness of the matcha. When you mix in the strawberry puree and the cream top, it adds a touch of freshness and makes it so creamy. Okome is really stepping up the matcha game in Fresno, and as a matcha lover myself, I really appreciate it. I've been a few times, and their drinks are really distinct from other shops. They focus on matcha, but they also serve coffee, fruit tea, and regular milk teas. I've had their tiramisu matcha and their peach fruit tea. Personally for me, their fruit tea was alright. I haven't had their coconut jelly since they updated it to a more noodle-like shape, but I didn't reallly vibe with it the first time. Their matcha however - it's the perfect amount of bitter and sweet, and you can really taste the quality. The only thing I would say is I had too much ice in my drink because I really wanted more of the drink! The tiramisu foam is creamy and the perfect addition to the drink. The service is standard, the staff is nice but nothing overly exceptional. Everything seems a bit impersonal too considering you order from a kiosk. I've been hearing about Okome opening and was excited to finally stop by and try it out. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha with double matcha shots, and while the strawberry puree was refreshing, the matcha flavor tasted a bit watered down. I was hoping for a creamier and more concentrated taste, especially with the double shot. The dehydrated strawberries on top were a really nice touch though and added a fun bit of texture and flavor. There was only one working kiosk during my visit, so the wait was around 10-15 minutes, likely due to the large groups ahead of us on a Sunday afternoon. Not terrible, but definitely noticeable. I also wish the lids were dome-style instead of partially open, it made the drink a little awkward to carry and drink from without spilling. I would have preferred a dome-style lid with a longer spoon to scoop the strawberries instead. Drinks here average about $7.50, which feels a bit pricey for the overall flavor and experience. I'm glad I got to try it, and I think there's a lot of potential as they continue to fine-tune their drinks and logistics. Would love to come back and see how things improve over time. read more

So this is my second visit here and I'm pretty sure at this point I like them! First time I got the coconut matcha cream and it was soooo refreshing honestly. I felt like it rejuvenated my soul. I would definitely get that again. I drank that thing so fast. Our second visit I ordered the mango matcha and the blueberry matcha. First, the mango matcha was so good! It has double matcha in it with the cream top. The mango puree was very nice, nice mango pieces and was a good ratio. The matcha was nice and prominent. The blueberry was just the same. The puree for the blueberry tasted like it was from fresh blueberries with added sugar. It was a nice combo or matcha and blueberry flavor, something I don't always other shops have. Love both of them. You order with no people contact. It has a self ordering kiosk and your order will be called out. There was five order ahead of me and I didn't wait long until mine was ready, probably 5-7 mins at most. There was a lot of people dining in, but more than enough seatings for all. Delicious drinks! Came for the first time and it won't be my last. Located in a shopping area with ample of parking spaces. Cafe is pretty spacious with plenty of seating. Ambiance is definitely a different feel compared to other boba/tea places. The other side of the café is still currently in the works, but I believed they will be offering sushi soon. The menu is easy to navigate and you place your orders at the kiosk. Drinks are made in a timely manner and most drinks come in a 16oz standard size while the milk teas comes in a 24oz. New Favorite Spot for Matcha! Okome has hands down the best matcha drinks I've tried so far! I've sampled a few from other places, but nothing compares. I came back to try something new after loving the tiramisu matcha last time -- which was already delicious. This time I ordered the Double Matcha (light matcha) and WOW... 100% recommend! Smooth, flavorful, and just the right balance. I also really appreciate the kiosk ordering system -- super quick and convenient. Matcha is my drink of choice anytime, any day. My Dad found Okome through Instagram and it was such a nice midday pick me up! We arrived on a weekend afternoon. It gets really busy, so be patient and prepared! The layout is interesting. When you open the doors, you wait in line to order at their kiosk. They only have one kiosk so it can be slow. From there, you pay and wait for your number to be called. You can then retrieve your items from the front. The cafe is quite spacious with lots of tables and chairs plus an outdoor seating area. It's a nice spot to chill or hang out at. The four of us got drinks. Mango Matcha with Almond Milk, Crème Brûlée Coffee with Almond Milk, Fresh Mango Slush, and Peach Matcha with Oat Milk. I got the drinks with 25% sweetness and light ice. Initially, I got the peach for myself but I traded with my Grandma since she found her mango not as good. Honestly, I enjoyed my drink and sampling my family's! The slush was refreshing and sweet, the coffee was strong, and the fruit provided a sweet balance to the earthy matcha. I'd come again!
