5/14/25 Checking it out! + Boba! =)~ Ordered online a coffee boba drink with oat milk and coffee jelly. Paid for it online and went to pick it up. Arrived! Greeted. Worker said order would be right up. Very nice inside. Mint green tables with white chairs. Clean and safe. Received order shortly later with good day wishes! GREAT! Really GREAT Coffee boba drink! Flavorful! They really give you a good amount of boba & coffee jelly!! Great service & Coffee Boba! Highly recommended!

I do think they have good boba drinks here and the spot is smaller but clean. Service is always fine.

Cute display celebrating St Patrick's day!

I got a hot earl grey milk tea 1/2 sweet. Perfect! My friends got the Thai tea and a jasmine tea. They enjoyed theirs as well. The service was personable and quick. There were plenty of seats with quiet music playing. A great atmosphere for my friends and I to catch up on life! I only wish there were snacks or food. Next time I will know to eat first.

Salted caramel coffee with espresso. 20% sweetness.

I think I found a new place to get some laptop work done and sip a delicious coffee beverage! I popped in here on Saturday and it was empty, but busy. Most everyone orders their drink and leaves with exception of a few. I had to get some work done so order the salted caramel coffee, at 20% sweet, with a shot of espresso. I was expecting this drink to be a sugar bomb, but the sweetness level wasn't bad. I think the espresso helped takeaway some of the sugary flavor. I never drink sugary drinks and even with minimal syrup it was still sweet. Rare tea also sells multiple milk tea options like taro, Thai, and a strawberry milk tea smoothie. Love the look and vibe here. Shout out to the person running the music, thanks for the Deftones playlist!

Matcha lychee and Rose spring tea

It's been a while since I've went back to this place, but I'd say this is a pretty solid boba place to stop by whenever you find some off time and you want to spontaneously want to grab some. They had some pretty good songs playing if you're into 88rising and the service was pretty fast! The matcha lychee was a little powdery, but overall, I still enjoyed it and I love their choice of ice (that crunched kind and not the cubes). The rose spring tea was really good, but had I had to choose the matcha as a milk tea enjoyer.

Did a mobile order for a Vietnamese coffee! (HOUSE COFFEE) I got it 75% sweet. Great tasting coffee and great service!

Pros: Drinks are okay. Neat and clean dinning area. Prices are alright for portion size. Cons: Service was okay. Have had some drinks that were a bit off.

Love their drinks, dislike their service. Here is a suggestion: Greet your customers when they come in. Better yet...greet them when they are standing at the counter or even offer help. No matter which staff member I get and at different part of the day, it's the same. Very awkward. There are plenty of boba options, and sometimes it is really about the service. If owned by the same owner, the one is Fresno is NOT like this. How come? Please consider my suggestion. Thanks.

So good. Mango green tea with snow cream 25% sweet. good quality tea.
Esther S.

I'm still a fan but I gotta stick to my mango green tea drink. I got the matcha rose and even with 0% sweet it was pretty sweet bc the rose is a syrup. Oh well. Also disappointingly the boba was not the right chewy. This is very very disappointing for a $7 drink! It should be consistent. I expect better from rare tea. Well their tea is still the best I've found in fresno, not bitter but strong, so far but their boba is a hit or miss it seems. New hours happily opening at 10am now yay. Now if they could get their service down. The girl helping seemed new and thankfully the other guy in there was helping her out and teaching her how to make the drink but... overall the vibe in there is just not. That. Warm. They did greet me at least. They need to work on service if they want to do well in Clovis!

Rose Matcha 03/31/22 $8 !!! 6/10
Angie R.

I came to this Rare Tea on 03/31/22 as I was in the area. I have only tried the other location off Herndon and 99 and thought it was pretty good so I was hoping this location would be the same. I was greeted upon entering. I already knew what I wanted which was a matcha rose latte with boba. The worker was friendly and kind. It smelled good and very clean inside and they were all wearing face masks. I asked the employee if the Matcha Rose Latte was Dairy free and he said "No". The other location had it Dairy free so I can already see this difference at this location. The only diary free option they had was Oatmilk which I had before at Starbucks and it was alright. I accepted the Oatmilk and they charge a really high price for it and my drink was almost $9 geez. I would not complain if my drink tasted 9 dollars and of course I added boba which was an additional charge. It took a while for my drink to get ready as I was the only customer but I could tell they were working as fast as they could and probably with my substitutions it takes a while. The employee let me know when my drink was ready and it was pretty. I took a sip and it tasted alright. When I got to my car and left I noticed the Oatmilk tasted like the "box" or "carton" taste. It was so off putting so I really didn't enjoy my almost $10 drink. I guess what I am saying the Oatmilk didn't taste fresh at all. It was totally stale. I probably would not get another Latte here but maybe just an Ice Tea. I felt obligated to finish it. I didn't want to go back and have them remake it as I was pretty much ready at a point in my drive it was not worth it to turn around and wait for a total new drink. I finished it like a champ. Overall, it wasn't the worse experience but not the best. The oatmilk with the box taste was off putting but it was drinkable. I will give the another try in the future but maybe stick to Rare Tea in Herndon and 99.

Taro Milk tea double boba

I'm not sure what makes their Strawberry Milk Tea (this one comes blended) so good, but it's liquid crack. Add boba? I'm in heaven. Like most boba places you can also adjust the sweetness level. A little pricey, but what isn't these days. Their drink menu isn't as huge as my favorite place, but there's enough variety to find something and the drinks and boba are always good.

Soft Opening

They offer a wide section of freshly brewed teas, coffee, and smooTEAS and latTEAS! Friendly staff and clean establishment. This location is bigger than their New Fresno location and does include indoor seating. I really enjoy their Teapresso, Okinawa Smoothie (?), and Pumpkin LatTEA with snow cream! Truly rare compared to other boba places in town. *Order online ahead of time if you don't like strangers breathing down your neck and waiting in long lines like me! https://rareteafresno.square.site

Thai Milk Tea Boba and Strawberry Milk / boba and pudding. And Vanntastic Sweets.
Haze I.

I go here often to get my Thai Milk Boba fix ;) So happy they are so close to home like 3 mins away. They have a lot of variety drinks. I've tried a few so far, like the taro, Oreo and Carmel brûlée. Still slowing going down the list to try the rest. They also mark ones that are caffeine free for kids. Which I appreciate since I have a 4 year old son. Today I ordered my son the Strawberry Milk w/ boba & pudding. He loves strawberries so this was tasty and different at first maybe because it had pudding. But he ended up liking it. Still a lot for him to drink all by himself. He loves the boba :) They also have a rewards program. I love Vanntastic Sweets their macaroons are so good and not too sweet either. Rare Tea had limited offers. Today they had Okinawa Milk Tea, Matcha, Cookies&Cream, Thai Tea and Strawberry Cheesecake. All delicious. Came on a Friday at 4pm and was not busy. One person ahead of me. And still got my order in less than 5 mins.

It was good, but the same drink can vary as it was a hit and miss depending on who makes it. Not consistent on the sweetness and ice level.

I went by there today and was picking up food near Qwench Juice Bar and my girlfriend wanted to get a smoothie while waiting for our order to be picked up. We walked up to the door and couldn't tell if the place was open or closed. The time was 7:03pm. There are no business hours posted on window or door. Just a LED sign that lights up OPEN, but that was off. A worker came out to grab a sign to put back inside the business. I asked him what are the business hours and he gave me a look of I should have known the hours of open and close. He did tell me the hours nicely but failed to offer any service, for example, maybe say "we just closed but if you want to get something, we can do that before we clean up." I know customer service has gone away from going the extra mile for customers. I did say to the worker maybe you should post the hours on the window or door so potential customers that are looking for something to snack on can know when you are closed. I've been seeing quite a few businesses with no business hours posted on the doors or windows. Not everyone uses the internet and social media to find information. Old fashion foot traffic is still a thing.
