I decided to give thisbplace another try after nine years (!!!) When I came back disappointed that they couldn't adjust sweetness levels since everything then was remixed. That isn't the case anymore and they continue to get great reviews. But... I came away disappointed again. This is definitely not the place for milk tea drinkers, who only do milk tea with boba, as the tea flavor is watered down. Perhaps because they emphasize adding flavors to their drinks on their menu as their "step 1" in drink customization that is why this isn't a true tea shop. Boba Attic might not have the biggest menu, but what they do offer, they do it well. That's why I keep coming back. I've tried a few new drinks here and there, but nothing beats my usuals: Coconut Taro or Avocado (always 75% sugar). I love that you can adjust sweetness. And the Sea Salt Crema add-on is absolutely incredible. Thick, rich, and velvety , one of the best in Fresno. Always add boba, of course. I recently learned they offer split cups, which is genius for anyone wanting to try something new without giving up their favorite (I keep forgetting to do it, but it's on my list!). In a little mini plaza behind a gas station, you can see this place and instantly understand why it gets its name. Super clean interior that offer some games with prizes while you wait for your order. I had got two strawberry lemonades, cookies and cream, and a Thai tea with boba. The space has potential but is severely lacking. The atmosphere was bland, despite the game area. This was largely because it was just an open room. No table or chairs. Ordering took place with a tablet which also meant little human interaction. Our order was called and placed on a table. The only interaction we had was when we asked for straws, which seem kind of important to provide for boba. Again, lots of potential but for now not is lacking. Been here a couple of time because the kids enjoy their drinks from here. My boba order is typically one of the milk teas so I settled on the roasted oolong milk tea with boba. The flavor of the tea was very very mild and it was more milk forward. I opted for 50% sweetness and it was perfect. The boba texture was okay, the outside was a bit too soft for my preference. I also ordered the popcorn chicken and it was less crunchy and flavorful than the last couple of times I've ordered it. Order online. Seriously, you don't gain anything by ordering in person. Really! Minimal staff means they are primarily there to make drinks. That's it. You could summon them over to help you, via the tablet you order from. The green apple popping boba also intrigued me, but the suggestion was to add rainbow jelly. No idea what that is, but if they suggest it, then why not. This place is now a 3.5/5. I used to go here all the time, but ever since they put in the kiosks, there have been issues. I noticed the boba isn't as consistent. The jumbo cups are also different, which, I'm still not sure how I feel about them. The biggest turn away for me is the amount that they put in the actual drink itself. I used to come here multiple times a week, for months, get no ice, and the drink would be filled all the way to the top, every single time. No space at all. I have NEVER had a boba cup that was this big in my life. I love trying all the boba places in Fresno to fill the hole in my heart that only tapioca balls can fill and this place was delicious! They have you order on little ipads if you are paying with card but they do take cash too at the front register you just need to call a worker over. My total was just over $6 but when I tell you that the sheer quantity of tea you get made it worth it, I mean it. The drink was so big it took me 3 hours to finish it. The tea itself was delicious. It tasted like a coconut infused Thai tea that wasn't overbearingly sweet, just right. The boba balls itself lacked flavor and were quite hard to chew in the middle but the tea was so flavorful it made up for it. The staff was fast and got my drink out in a minute.
