    Sourdough breakfast sandwich with potatoes
    Molly L.

Came here during lunch time on a weekday and the place was pretty crowded. I ordered the sourdough breakfast sandwich, which the staff member recommended over the eggs Benedict. Overall I thought the breakfast sandwich and potatoes were pretty good. The potatoes had good spices to them and were cooked well. The sandwich also had buttery sourdough bread and just the right amount of cheese and eggs. They were generous with the bacon but the bacon was not crispy. The sauce they used on the sandwich was a little too peppery for my tastes but overall the sandwich and potatoes were pretty good. I would return to try other things. The place is what you would expect for a brunch place - a good amount of tables scattered throughout with plenty of seating so there was no wait despite it being pretty busy.

    Gravy and biscuits delish!

Hands down the BEST quality breakfast I've had in Fresno! Far exceeds Red Apple and even, despite menu differences, Yolked. Loved: 1) Before 9AM, NOT busy. Easy to get a table. Weekends may be different... 2) LOTS of parking and big spaces, unlike at other breakfast spots. Wide parking... 3) Food comes out HOT! Unlike red apple with their lukewarm potatoes/gravy. 4) Music is low volume background. You CAN actually have a conversation and enjoy folks if eating with others. 5) NO TVS!!! 6) Limited menu help ensures QUALITY and attention to detail. 7) Subtle complexity of flavors that REALLY differentiates from the crowd. 8) NOTHING is over salted. They let YOU season and determine YOUR level of preference/tolerance. 9) Service is excellent. 10) Friendly clientele.... I held a couple conversations with others in the restaurant. Very casual and laidback. 11) Humble decor that isn't overdone, busy or crowed. Not loved: 1) NOTHING stood out! They had a '2 for 1 special.' IF you've read my reviews you know that means that I sometimes order TWO entrees and I--ONE PERSON--polish them both off! GB3 AHOY! Ordered: 1) Water, no ice, no straw. 2) Biscuits/gravy ala carte. 3) Beni bowl, extra hollandaise sauce. Detail: 1) Food comes out HOT. With REAL steam coming off! Something overlooked and under appreciated at other restaurants. 2) Textures were intact and varied, even noticed with something like the a humble potato! 3) The beni bowl had both chorizo and bacon in it. Each was cooked perfectly and they didn't include all the GREASE from cooking both of those up! The poached eggs were fantastic and... 4) Both the hollandaise sauce and the country gravy had deep complexity and subtle interesting differences. Again, something missing from most breakfast places in Fresno. 5) Today, I ATE the actual biscuits that came with the gravy. Something I don't think I've done for YEARS! They tasted fresh, textured and were NOT SALTY like lessor quality options. 6) Pricing is so reasonable! Honestly, I've had this un-scratched breakfast ITCH for the longest time that never gets scratched. That all changed today! I'm refreshed getting plugged in with a restaurant that gets subtle differences, quality, textures and flavors with staff that IS actually connected to what comes out of a kitchen, what competes and stands out among similar options, how it TASTES! Thank you always Lord for both the resources and the opportunity to enjoy even a lessor meal in Fresno. But man, I appreciated this end of the spectrum. Keep up the good work, Branch! I notice everything! -G

Shrimp and Grits second time around
    Rudy D.

My sister took me here for a belated b-day celebration. None of us had been here before, but knows I really dig a great breakfast. My wife and I decided on splitting the shrimp and grits but with poached eggs and my sister got chilaquiles. She attempted to order a jalapeño popper appetizer, but the server came back and said they were out. Took a bit to get our plates, but both were photo worthy! However, the shrimp and grits were cold and the eggs were perfectly hard boiled! Server offered to have it remade. Second time around it was good. She even brought a breakfast burrito on the house. Had the server not been on it, would rate it two stars. However, the food was better and the server was really good. 3.5 rounded up!

Tried this place on a Friday morning. We were seated right away, however service was slow. Took a long time to take out order, give us our food/silverware then to give us our check when we were done. Nobody really checked on us throughout the meal. I ordered the chilaquiles. I thought the presentation was nice, it was a large portion and very pretty. The flavor was decent but a bit on the spicy side. My mom tried the carrot cake pancakes. The frosting on the pancakes was really good and not super sweet, however the carrot cake flavor was very subtle. I don't think I would go back. Food was decent but service could've been better.

My husband and I got there around 11 and got on the waitlist. They didn't tell us the wait was 45 mins until after they took all my info. Decided we'll just wait in the car. I kept checking the link they sent in the text for updates and after 45 mins it said the wait was 0 mins but we really ended up waiting for an hour. Took 30 mins to get our food after we sat. I ordered the carrot cake pancakes and my husband got like a classic American breakfast plate with eggs, bacon and toast. The pancakes were pretty dense. We also got a side of biscuits and gravy and it was an interesting taste for sure. It was... sweet. My husband liked the food but I don't know if I'd come back here.

This was worth the 30 minute drive from Clovis, but I would urge you to arrive before 9 to avoid the crowd. Super nice staff. The biscuits and gravy was excellent with a lot of sausage in it along with a hint of rosemary. My wife got the Branch Breakfast that came with a huge pancake and my benny bowl with chorizo and bacon was incredible. We can't wait to go back and try more things.

My friend had heard about this place and mentioned wanting to try it when we were discussing where to go to breakfast today. At 9:30am on a Sunday there was maybe a 15-20 minute wait? We were greeted by a very friendly host, and later the two people who served us were just as friendly and attentive. It's located at Herndon and Marks, where Parma was located maybe about 15 years ago? And maybe Limon was there for a while after that (both those restaurants moved multiple times so I could be confused.) It's the same layout I remember from when it was Parma: a small dining room with a simple layout and just a few tables. Nothing to write home about -- it seems to lack a little in decor or personality, but the dining room was pleasant enough. Both my friend and I enjoyed our breakfast. I had the American plate with very high quality bacon, scrambled eggs, the country potatoes, and then I requested to substitute fruit for the toast and got a beautiful dish of berries. My friend had the chile verde eggs, hash browns and toast. Her one suggestion was to include more chile verde sauce with the meat (which looked a bit dry). It was still good though. The food seemed all very high quality, fresh and homemade. Definitely not the typical (at an IHOP or Denny's) frozen food. So I'd definitely come here again. It kind of reminded me a bit of Patio Cafe but seemed to have a bit more variety. The coffee was good but I never was able to get a refill because I was having decaf and they never got around to bringing it. I'd have loved a refill. Overall, the friendliness of the staff, the high quality of the food, and the good prices for what you got made this a five star experience for breakfast. I want to come back and try the corned beef hash, the biscuit and gravy, and the chilaquiles.

Such a cute hole in the wall brunch place! Waited about 30 minutes on a Sunday morning but totally worth it. Classic American breakfast items. Would come back just for their Banana Bread pancake! Space and seating is kinda tight so expect to wait a but plenty of parking in a shopping plaza.

Brunch here was so amazing! The staff sat us immediately and were so kind. The ambiance was pretty chill, there was a lot of people but not in a cluttered manner. Overall it was a very nice breakfast. Definitely recommend!

4/10/26 Time for an update! Especially since seeing they have a special on carrot cake pancakes! Yummy! Called & ordered that & a ham veggie egg white omelette with salsa and hash browns. The worker was great. Happy to get it set up. Said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Arrived!! Greeted, very kind worker, paid for it and waited....definitely, very busy, but that's a good thing! Probably about 30 min total, but still received it with good day wishes!! Happy Sunday everyone!! Order split! Carrot Cake pancakes are WOW!! DELICIOUS!! Flavorful and the frosting topping makes it even better!! Egg white ham veggie omelette 1/2 is OUTSTANDING!! Definitely the best I've had!! Good amount of ham, fresh veggies & salsa adds spice to top it off!! GREAT!! Hash browns were tasty & GREAT too!! I'm sure mother will enjoy hers & feel the same when she gets up to have it. Good service & GREAT breakfast! They deserve every star!! Highly recommended!! Oh and very much worth the wait to get!!

We've been to this place before, and it was under different management and had a different name. I really liked coming this time because of the simplicity. The menu, the establishment overall, the calmness. Overall a different vibe but I really liked it. I'm a "small menu" lover and this place had exactly that. Descent prices and descent portions, you can't beat that. I will say that I was a little overwhelmed by the French toast lol I was not expecting that mountain, so just be prepared that it is sharing size!!

This place was pretty busy when we got in (Saturday around 10:30AM). We put our names down on the waitlist and it took just about 5 minutes before we were seated. There was a small mixup with seating but regardless, we were promptly seated once checking back in. They took our drinks and food very quickly after. The drinks came out in about 3ish minutes and the food was about 10 minutes after. Everything came out quick, fresh, and hot! Great service, especially being so busy! The food was superb!! The burrito was very good, and the salsa made it even better. My personal favorite was the French toast! I wish I had tried their special PB&J French toast, but the blueberry pancake was also a great choice. The restaurant itself was a little decorated for the holidays, but the inside is quite small so only so much could fit especially with how busy they were. Overall, I HIGHLY enjoyed my dishes and overall visit, would definitely recommend!

Tried this new spot over the weekend. I joined the waitlist at 11:35 a.m., when the waitlist stated it was a 35 minute wait. We arrived and checked in shortly after, but didn't have food in front of us until 1:20 p.m. So, the wait definitely is worth it IF the food merits the wait, but It was just OK for me. We had to ask for spoons from three different people to eat our food when it finally arrived. Nothing really special except for the pancakes sausage on a stick! Those were really good! Took me back to when I was in high school. I believe the hot chocolate I ordered was made with water and not milk, but I could be wrong. So, that too took me back to my high school days when we used to buy hot chocolate for $1 out of a styrofoam cup from the English teacher. I ordered the Benny Bowl because the hollandaise sauce was supposed to be the highlight of the dish atop the poached eggs, but honestly it was not that flavorful in my humble opinion. The eggs were beautifully poached though. My fiancé ordered the shrimp and grits. I tasted the shrimp and those were really good, but the grits were again, just OK for me. He gave it a 4/5. I'm not sure I would come back, but my fiancé said he might.

Everyone was so nice, Jessica…read moreespecially was super attentive, our coffees were always full, our food came out at a decent time and it was still nice and hot and she was so friendly throughout our time here, so Jessica if you ever see this, Thank you so much, we appreciate you! We happened to be in the area today with a failed trip to Lithia Ford for a car repair. We both were hungry and needed to choose between breakfast or Mexican food, we flipped a coin and the coin chose breakfast. I'm glad it did, cause right when we were heading towards another breakfast spot, we made the quick decision to just choose what was nearby. It's a restaurant name we've heard of, but haven't been, so we opted to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Because the food was amazing and the service just as much! Parking lot was full but not too crazy, that luckily came after we were seated. Inside was nicely themed to Louisiana Bayou with gators and cute signs with quotes and a big tree in the seating area with sound effects of bugs from the swamp. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a nice greeting from one of the busy waitresses who let us know we would be seated in a moment. Our server Jessica came up with a smile and a warm welcome and had us follow her to our booth. We both started off with coffee and browsed the menu, this menu had some usual fair but definitely stayed in the theme of the restaurant with Louisiana cuisine, like andouille sausage as a breakfast meat choice. I went with their "Hucks Platter" which is 3 eggs anyway you want, choice of potatoes or hashbrowns and you can choose between a couple varieties of meats, steak, chicken fried steak, sausage, bacon and andouille. It also comes with a choice of side, being toast, homemade biscuit or their huckleberry bread? I played it safe and went with the white toast. I also went with the bacon cause I love me some bacon! It was hickory smoked and my goodness it was cooked to perfection! My whole meal was cooked perfectly! I truly appreciate the cooking staff for doing such an amazing job during a busy morning. Jess chose the Banana Foster French Toast and my goodness! It looked just as good if not better than the picture. It was loaded, thick and comes with a side of eggs and your choice of meat. She loved the French toast, she's never had Bananas Foster before but she said it was decadent, sweet and had a nice caramelized flavor. Would recommend and also get it again! We paid, "with tip" around $57, which isn't bad for most breakfast spots now a days. Especially when you're getting this kind of food quality and service. We never went without a fresh hot cup of coffee and a nice check in from Jess or one of the other servers to pick up a plate or ask us how we're doing. I do apologize for no pictures, when the food came out, it looked so good we just dug right in! We both would absolutely come back and eat here again if we're in the area or back in Fresno looking for a breakfast spot. If you're in and or from here, you should definitely make this your go-to breakfast spot!

Very late review, 2 months late…read more I went with my niece and a couple friends one Saturday morning. No reservation so we waited a good amount of time but it wasn't so long that it was unbearable. Very cute waiting area. I didn't expect it to look as... modern? as it did? I'm not sure what I expected it to look like but it was nice inside. Staff was suuuper friendly. Every single one we spoke to. Considering how busy they were (constant flow of traffic/customers)... I appreciate that they can still smile and make you feel welcomed. I ordered the OG French Toast, my niece got the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich on a Croissant. I can't remember what my friends ordered. Portions are very good. We could have easily split a plate (my niece and I) and be okay. Classic American breakfast. Everything was good/satisfying. We all enjoyed our meals. I also got their Brown Butter Iced Coffee-- saw one of the guys that worked there drinking one behind the counter and asked what it was, lol. I can't say it was the best coffee drink I've ever had but it was still pretty good. Not strong though. Though I've written a raving review, when it comes down to the food, it's not the best breakfast I've had around Fresno. It would not be a first choice for me personally but I also wouldn't mind coming back if my friends wanted to. Plus, there's so much more to try on their menu so it's not fair to judge overall food off one visit. For now, they are a solid 4.
