Great service!! The Build-Your-Own Omelette is the best!! You have your choice of what you want in your omelette and they are not stingy with what you add. The Huckleberrys in Elk Grove needs to follow the Huckleberrys here...they are bomb here!!!

Had breakfast with my family that flew in from TN before they left to the airport.. so it was large group. The service was excellent. They brought everything out nice and hot. I went with a Bloody Mary and ribeye steak with bayou reds. And for the potatoes I had it with the peppers and onions. I chose an over medium egg and it came out over easy. Not too big of a deal. And I chose a huckleberry muffin it came with butter. I got my steak medium rare. And I even ordered a side of fried green tomatoes. Everything was good!! TN family approved. My only thing is my Bloody Mary didn't taste like there was any alcohol in it.

Man ! I went to this place about 2-3 months ago with my friends as we were headed up for a dance comp in the bay. This place DID NOT disappoint. We ended up coming in 20-30 minutes before closing so we felt bad but the staff literally did not mind at all and gave us an A + service. Ever since then I've been thinking about this place. The food was phenomenal and for the price they offered everything at !! My friends and I were really in shock. The portions are good and that huckleberry juice....godly. My friend couldn't taste the alc so the server literally put more for us. We ended up finding out that it was just so smooth.

Can you say perfection? Came here on a Sunday afternoon with the family and we were all completely satisfied & happy! Within a minute, we were seated at a table of our choice (a booth by a window), and our drink order was taken at that very moment. Our server, Alyssa was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, kind, and saying "on top of things" would be an understatement! When the drinks were brought right out, we decided to order hors d'oeuvre beignets, and she had those back out to us in like less than five minutes! Sorry no picture, but they were devoured in record time! I suggest asking for the toppings on the side. This maintains the texture of the beignets and is way more fun to have like a mini toppings buffet to share. At our table, we had build your own kids meals, an amazing platter, a basic breakfast, and the star of the show...the fried green tomatoes. Now, I have always said I wanted to try them...this was the day! I took those down, and loved every single bite! The textures and seasonings were unbelievably scrumptious! Overall, we had leftovers of course, but we ate a ton. Besides giving us to-go containers and assisting with putting the food in, Alyssa also provided to-go cups for our beverages, as well as a fresh cup of coffee to go. The decor is just plain fun, and gives off Disneyland New Orleans Square as well as Adventureland vibes. I even love the cute sink style in the restrooms. We felt transported to another place, totally enjoyed our meal, our service, and the whole experience! We have been to multiple Huckleberry's locations over the years, but this location, this visit...by far the most satisfying and enjoyable yet! Well done Huckleberry's, and again, hats off to one of the best, attentive servers I've had at a restaurant! Love it when someone can anticipate your needs! Yay- I highly recommend checking this place out!

We definitely do! Love the hospitality and the food. They are always so friendly. We enjoy the waffles and chicken. Everything is so delicious and they are always quick to bring it out. No matter how busy they are, they quickly seat us.

Dint have time to take pictures of the food after tasting the Mardi Gras Beignets. We are visiting the Clovis location. Definitely a place to try. Denisse (GM) was amazing answering all of our questions and Katrina our server was great. Definitely coming back to Fresno and visiting this amazing gem and the staff who make this a treasure. We did find out that there is a restaurant in Escondido, CA which would make it a 1 hour drive. The whole environment, music, atmosphere, sure make me feel I was I'm the South for a little while. I give this place a 2 thumbs up for service, food taste and quality and most importantly the staff. Check them out, you will not be sorry.

First time here the food was great! Service was great....my only complaint is the food had little to no taste. I want my soup to have flavor and my chili not be watered down. OTHER then that we will try something new next time.

Looking forward to their yummy Biscuits & Gravy. Support local

Food was very tasty, served at perfect temperature. Friend got the Chicken Fried Steak w/potatoes 2 Eggs cooked to perfection & a tasty biscuit, she enjoyed it all & said she would get it again. Today's choice for me was; Hucks Combo Plate French Toast, 2 Eggs cooked just right & Small piece of Ham. 4 1/2 stars for food, it hit the spot, all very yummy. Service was excellent from Jessica, another young lady & a gentleman cleared our table off when we were done eating. 5 stars for service. Ambiance fun decor, almost feel like you're in the South, all very clean. 5 stars. Will be back & recommend to others. Eat & support local.

    Do they take reservations?

They do not take reservations, show up and get your name on a wait list......usually get seated within 15 minutes.

Did place have a fire? It's boarded up and closed?!

Drunk driver plowed thru the south wall and they will remained closed until repairs are made.

Can we order one benedict only and not two?

    Sure, they're very accommodating.

Food comes out fast. Bottomless coffee. 5. Some items you can choose 1 side order or 2 side orders. 6. You can get all the normal diner style favorites like eggs, bacon, sausage and a whole plate size pancake or get a Pork Verde breakfast omelette or opt for a burrito. To make a long story longer here's a summary : Make RSVPs, Bottomless decent coffee, look at menu ahead of time, Service is good but they are busy so please be kind, and as always if possible bring a friend to share this with and Enjoy. I didn't mind it, I've been here once before (a very long time ago), but the wait was a lot longer than we anticipated today... We saw 5 different groups who put their names down AFTER us get seated BEFORE us. 2 groups of 4, 2 groups of 3, and another with just 2 (like us)... the hostess, as nice as she was, missed our name on the list somehow-- and she was going back and forth between two lists at the time. There was one clear list when I signed up with only 2 or 3 groups ahead of us. So, yeah. Apart from the really long wait (with limited space + rain outside)... the staff was super friendly and made it hard to be upset, honestly. I think my hanger had a good pull on my mood as well. We got our drink orders taken right away. He got a soda, I got a coffee. I wish the coffee tasted better than it did, but whatevs. We ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast (1/2 order) to share, as well as the Bull Dog Jalapeño Cheddar sausage plate. Each plate came with a side of eggs (he got over hard, I got over easy)... choice of bacon or sausage for the French Toast-- he chose bacon. The sausage dish came with country potatoes and [we chose] toast. The sausage was pretty good, I just wish it was warmer. It didn't feel hot at all. The eggs and potatoes were as they should be. Bacon was nice and crispy. The Cinnamon Roll was my favorite portion of our meal (sweet but not overly sweet-- don't drown it in syrup), but I saved it for last and by the time I got to it... I was almost stuffed! We still cleared our plates though. That melted butter makes all the difference though... spread that baby out! All in all, once I finally got coffee and food in my system... I was able to enjoy our breakfast and not be hung up on the wait. I understand they were super busy, I saw it with my own eyes, it was the mere fact we were skipped over multiple times is all. Anywho, not the best I've ever had but it got the job done. Would this place be my first choice next time? Probably not. Would I come back again? Yes, just not when I'm starving and hangry! K, byeee.

This is my first time at a Lazy Dog, so I have a lot to consider!…read more First, the overall ambiance and environment are great! I like the decor and the theme, which I might call "casual country/ranch." The layout is nice, with a prominent bar as the central axis of the "wagon wheel" of seating, and additional seating in lower-level dining areas and on the patio as well. They also have an open kitchen concept, which adds a nice dynamic of watching the chefs at work. The hostess was pleasant and quickly seated me, and the server was right behind her. The server, Eric, who was very efficient in all his work, quickly took my drink order (China Mist iced tea) while I finalized my food order. I had found some intriguing items online while scoping out my plan of attack before arriving here on a road trip stopover, but I found something in the paper menu that changed some of my mind. So, I settled on the original idea of Crispy Deviled Eggs (lightly fried, topped with smoked paprika and bacon candy) and switched to a Grilled 5-Cheese Sandwich (cheddar, Swiss, mozzarella, Jack, on Parmesan sourdough toast), with no side and a chopped wedge salad added (plus $5), "86" the bacon. The food came quickly, and I had to try the eggs first, of course! They were indeed crunchy, and the egg white part (which is the only fried part; the stuffing is placed later) was not too rubbery, as I may have thought, given that it was boiled and then fried. The stuffing was tasty, as well (although not as good as MY homemade eggs! ). The grilled cheese was ooey-gooey, and the cheesy (although I thought I tasted some light garlic?) toasted bread was a nice change, and with the assorted cheeses, those cheese flavors all worked together nicely. And the salad, which I did eat "first" (after an initial egg sampling for official Yelp business!), was fresh and generous, and well-appointed with red onion and blue cheese crumbles. The only complaint, such as it is, is that the salad bowl would not hold still! It was very slippery on the table (it seemed like a porcelain-covered metal), so I had to anchor it with a finger while the fork rummaged through the salad. But a minor hiccup in an otherwise great meal. All the food was great, and I took some home as it was a bit too much for me. I will be back for those other menu items I saw, and I'm glad there are other locations closer to the north, where I live, but how have I not heard of this place?!?!?! A NEW favorite!
