Everyone was so nice, Jessica especially was super attentive, our coffees were always full, our food came out at a decent time and it was still nice and hot and she was so friendly throughout our time here, so Jessica if you ever see this, Thank you so much, we appreciate you! We happened to be in the area today with a failed trip to Lithia Ford for a car repair. We both were hungry and needed to choose between breakfast or Mexican food, we flipped a coin and the coin chose breakfast. I'm glad it did, cause right when we were heading towards another breakfast spot, we made the quick decision to just choose what was nearby. It's a restaurant name we've heard of, but haven't been, so we opted to give it a try. I'm so glad we did! Because the food was amazing and the service just as much! Parking lot was full but not too crazy, that luckily came after we were seated. Inside was nicely themed to Louisiana Bayou with gators and cute signs with quotes and a big tree in the seating area with sound effects of bugs from the swamp. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a nice greeting from one of the busy waitresses who let us know we would be seated in a moment. Our server Jessica came up with a smile and a warm welcome and had us follow her to our booth. We both started off with coffee and browsed the menu, this menu had some usual fair but definitely stayed in the theme of the restaurant with Louisiana cuisine, like andouille sausage as a breakfast meat choice. I went with their "Hucks Platter" which is 3 eggs anyway you want, choice of potatoes or hashbrowns and you can choose between a couple varieties of meats, steak, chicken fried steak, sausage, bacon and andouille. It also comes with a choice of side, being toast, homemade biscuit or their huckleberry bread? I played it safe and went with the white toast. I also went with the bacon cause I love me some bacon! It was hickory smoked and my goodness it was cooked to perfection! My whole meal was cooked perfectly! I truly appreciate the cooking staff for doing such an amazing job during a busy morning. Jess chose the Banana Foster French Toast and my goodness! It looked just as good if not better than the picture. It was loaded, thick and comes with a side of eggs and your choice of meat. She loved the French toast, she's never had Bananas Foster before but she said it was decadent, sweet and had a nice caramelized flavor. Would recommend and also get it again! We paid, "with tip" around $57, which isn't bad for most breakfast spots now a days. Especially when you're getting this kind of food quality and service. We never went without a fresh hot cup of coffee and a nice check in from Jess or one of the other servers to pick up a plate or ask us how we're doing. I do apologize for no pictures, when the food came out, it looked so good we just dug right in! We both would absolutely come back and eat here again if we're in the area or back in Fresno looking for a breakfast spot. We came on Mother's Day so it was extremely packed but we were seated pretty fast for the two of us. The food did take a while to get to us but I ordered an appetizer and that did come fast so it held us over and honestly, I wasn't holding it against them. It was so packed. The server was very nice. I ordered a Cajun omelette and we also had the fried okra. My husband had the Riverboat omelette. Both were very good. The biscuit that I had with the omelette was fresh and hot and a really good size. The okra came with two different dipping sauces. The restaurant has a nice vibe inside. Not sure why reviews are so bad! My daughters and my daughter's roommate took me to a late brunch here - such a cute place ! But I'm also partial to themed restaurants lol. Some friends met up here for brunch a couple weeks ago. We were very well taken care of! Service was great. They let us take our time deciding what to order but then didn't disappear once we were ready. When we first arrived, there weren't many people but it quickly started filling up. Service never lacked though. I ordered the biscuit and gravy plate with sausage (you can also choose chicken fried steak) which I've ordered at their other locations and was just ho hum. This was delicious, the biscuit was soft (they grill it, I think, which is what made it not soft previously) , gravy was tasty and hash browns crispy. My coffee was filled frequently (I swore off another of their locations because of the slow coffee service). Parking lot is shared with other businesses but we all found parking just fine. Had breakfast with my family that flew in from TN before they left to the airport.. so it was large group. The service was excellent. They brought everything out nice and hot. I went with a Bloody Mary and ribeye steak with bayou reds. And for the potatoes I had it with the peppers and onions. I chose an over medium egg and it came out over easy. Not too big of a deal. in all honesty the food is good; yet the fact that the owner "allowed" me 2 packets of honey and no more due to the cost of honey was insane. Man ! I went to this place about 2-3 months ago with my friends as we were headed up for a dance comp in the bay. This place DID NOT disappoint. We ended up coming in 20-30 minutes before closing so we felt bad but the staff literally did not mind at all and gave us an A + service. Ever since then I've been thinking about this place. Can you say perfection? Came here on a Sunday afternoon with the family and we were all completely satisfied & happy! Within a minute, we were seated at a table of our choice (a booth by a window), and our drink order was taken at that very moment. Our server, Alyssa was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, kind, and saying "on top of things" would be an understatement! When the drinks were brought right out, we decided to order hors d'oeuvre beignets, and she had those back out to us in like less than five minutes! Sorry no picture, but they were devoured in record time! I suggest asking for the toppings on the side. This maintains the texture of the beignets and is way more fun to have like a mini toppings buffet to share. At our table, we had build your own kids meals, an amazing platter, a basic breakfast, and the star of the show...the fried green tomatoes. Now, I have always said I wanted to try them...this was the day! I took those down, and loved every single bite! The textures and seasonings were unbelievably scrumptious! Overall, we had leftovers of course, but we ate a ton. Besides giving us to-go containers and assisting with putting the food in, Alyssa also provided to-go cups for our beverages, as well as a fresh cup of coffee to go. The decor is just plain fun, and gives off Disneyland New Orleans Square as well as Adventureland vibes. I even love the cute sink style in the restrooms. We felt transported to another place, totally enjoyed our meal, our service, and the whole experience! Dint have time to take pictures of the food after tasting the Mardi Gras Beignets. We are visiting the Clovis location. Definitely a place to try. Denisse (GM) was amazing answering all of our questions and Katrina our server was great. Definitely coming back to Fresno and visiting this amazing gem and the staff who make this a treasure. We did find out that there is a restaurant in Escondido, CA which would make it a 1 hour drive. The whole environment, music, atmosphere, sure make me feel I was I'm the South for a little while. We were very patient and kind to our waitress regardless of her inconsiderate and careless attitude the entire time. She would not let us finish sentences, walked off before our orders were complete, and could honestly care less depite them being relatively slow. The food at this location also did not compare to the clovis location in the slightest. Unseasoned fried tomatoes and burnt biscuits. I will add the hostess was very patient, kind and considerate with my 98 year old grandpa which was beyond kind. This my go to spot for breakfast. I'm obsessed with their peach iced tea and I have a few favorites on the menu that I rotate when I come. Service can be slow on their busier days but I have never had a problem with their hospitality. I'm always greeted when I walk in and my servers are always friendly as well.
