Divine and delicious eating! Even better than mother's cooking but don't tell her ! I went in really needing good coffee and breakfast, and I was honestly shocked by how amazing everything turned out to be. The coffee was incredibly good, far better than I expected, and the place itself felt warm and cozy from the moment I walked in. For breakfast, I got the French toast and asked my server to make it look pretty, and she absolutely delivered. It looked beautiful and tasted just as amazing. I also tried the Spanish omelette with tomatoes, bell peppers, salsa and sour cream, and it was delicious. I ordered it with a side of fruit, and everything was so fresh! I then tried the chicken bacon ranch sandwich on sourdough with a side of potatoes and oh my god....the potatoes were unbelievable. I have no idea what they put in them, but I could not get enough. It was buttery and crispy and everything! The sandwich was too good! The service was great from start to finish. I arrived early in the morning, and even then a few tables were already filled, and more people kept coming in as we sat there. It was clearly a popular spot, and after eating there, I completely understand why.

Obviously because everything in Japan is tiny. But even for myself and my lady, these pancakes were ginormous! Service was fantastic - so quick and personable. We'll definitely come again in the future. Inside/Outside - 4/5 Twas a hot day and of course Batter Up had some misters going. Plenty of folks were sitting outside. Inside had great large tables with pretty comfy seating. Definitely an old diner feel. My lady's parents loved the place. Service - 5/5 Batter Up was justifyingly busy. So many people were coming in and out. Food was served so quickly. And each staff - although incredibly busy - took their time to chat with each of their tables. Especially our waitress who asked us about recommendations for Japan. Food - 5/5 Out. Of. This. World. We had 2 pancake plates in total - The Hawaiian; Apple Cinnamon Chip Crunch - and a salad and burger. The menu provides a great description of the plates. Overall we recommend all the dishes and can't wait to come back to try the others. The pancakes were fluffy and there were plenty of extra ingredients baked within. My mouth is watering thinking about them. TL;DR - Great hearty food - Awesome service with staff talking to each table - Easy seating, even outside - Recommend all pancakes! Be ready for leftovers~

We visited on a weekday and were seated within a few minutes. We sat outside since we had our dog, which was a nice option. I had a mimosa and the chilaquiles, and my boyfriend ordered the chile verde burrito. Portions were really generous-we didn't even finish our plates. The food was good, though I do wish the chilaquiles had come with sour cream and a bit more chicken. Chile verde burrito was yummy! Service was fine and everything came out in a reasonable time. Only downside was the restroom situation-there's just one, and even though I locked the door, someone still walked in right as I was coming out of the stall... super awkward and uncomfortable Overall, a solid spot with big portions and a relaxed vibe on a weekday. I'd come back, just with a couple small improvements in mind.

I didn't mind it, I've been here once before (a very long time ago), but the wait was a lot longer than we anticipated today... We saw 5 different groups who put their names down AFTER us get seated BEFORE us. 2 groups of 4, 2 groups of 3, and another with just 2 (like us)... the hostess, as nice as she was, missed our name on the list somehow-- and she was going back and forth between two lists at the time. There was one clear list when I signed up with only 2 or 3 groups ahead of us. So, yeah. Apart from the really long wait (with limited space + rain outside)... the staff was super friendly and made it hard to be upset, honestly. I think my hanger had a good pull on my mood as well. We got our drink orders taken right away. He got a soda, I got a coffee. I wish the coffee tasted better than it did, but whatevs. We ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast (1/2 order) to share, as well as the Bull Dog Jalapeño Cheddar sausage plate. Each plate came with a side of eggs (he got over hard, I got over easy)... choice of bacon or sausage for the French Toast-- he chose bacon. The sausage dish came with country potatoes and [we chose] toast. The sausage was pretty good, I just wish it was warmer. It didn't feel hot at all. The eggs and potatoes were as they should be. Bacon was nice and crispy. The Cinnamon Roll was my favorite portion of our meal (sweet but not overly sweet-- don't drown it in syrup), but I saved it for last and by the time I got to it... I was almost stuffed! We still cleared our plates though. That melted butter makes all the difference though... spread that baby out! All in all, once I finally got coffee and food in my system... I was able to enjoy our breakfast and not be hung up on the wait. I understand they were super busy, I saw it with my own eyes, it was the mere fact we were skipped over multiple times is all. Anywho, not the best I've ever had but it got the job done. Would this place be my first choice next time? Probably not. Would I come back again? Yes, just not when I'm starving and hangry! K, byeee.
