Sensible Spas went above and beyond the call of duty to provide excellent service. The arranged to have a hot tub cover custom made for an older model that required a complex cutout so it could accommodate rising speaker corners. No one else had a solution, but Bill made it easy. After doing some searching online and on CL for new and used spas, I came across Sensible spas. I had a good phone call and Bill let me know he had a number of the spa types I was looking for: Namely something round that had 220V capability. They had the ideal new spa, that was discounted from the Costco price, and I was able to swing same day delivery and chlorine into the price. Delivery was no joke, up about 16 steps to a large deck. Was happy to see white guys sweating for me for a change, and the spa has been working great! Bill was really helpful in evaluating the deck structure, as well as some insights on the electrical hookups. A week or so later, the spa went into the Eco mode after I had pressed the wrong buttons the wrong number of times, and Bill was able to lead me over the phone about what had happened and how to fix the settings. Turns out I was looking at a manual from online that was an old version....instead of the paper copy that came with the spa. Duh! read more

Not only did Bill, the owner, help me in choosing the right spa for my small deck space, he (with others helping) was able to remove my old disintegrating spa out of the deck, through the condo, and down 2 sets of stairs. It was a miracle! In the years since then Bill has been available to do minor repairs, and recently assisted by bringing me a new cover and taking away the old one (again down those stairs.) I have wanted a spa for YEARS- but each time I was ready to move forward I'd become overwhelmed in all the details, curb side delivery (then what?), electrical hook up, etc. etc. Bill and Debbie were amazing to work with! We bought our hot tub from Sensible Spas last year, and we couldn't be happier with the tub we got and the service that was provided. They have great selection and the best prices in the bay area. Bill takes great care of his customers. We had an incident over easter weekned, where our 5 year old put toilet paper in the hot tub, and the tub was a mess. We were also worried our pump was messed up (yikes!!!) I called sensible spa, but did not leave a message becuse I thought they were out of the office for the holiday weekend. Even though I did not leave a message, Bill called me back within an hour! He was more than willing to come down to us to service it himself, but was booked up for several days. Instead of making us wait, he took the time to walk us through what we needed to do to fix the situation ourselves, and in less than an hour, we had our tub running like new!!! He also addressed our concerns, and assured us our pump and tub are fine (thank goodness!!). He is patient, trustworthy, professional, and really wants his customers to be happy. Bill (the owner) was fantastic! He really took the time to listen to what we were looking for...and helped us pick out a great spa. The delivery went great...they set it up...answered all our questions...and even came back the next day to replace one control that had a crack in it from shipping. A big concern was having an over chlorinated spa that made your eyes water and skin itch. Bill helped us put together the right system to treat the water and NOT have ourselves over-chlorinated. (We don't even notice it at all! It literally feels like a mineral spring experience!) Cost to buy was was great! (We always thought the cost to buy a new spa would just be too ridiculous to even consider... at least one that was big enough for someone who is 6'2"!) Sensible Spas has GREAT pricing!
