I had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had the chance after visiting the Bellevue Botanical Garden last weekend. We came in for lunch and ordered by kiosk at the front counter. I ordered the spicy chicken egg sandwich plus a matcha bomb, then took a seat at the high table by the windows to wait. The wait wasn't too long, and my food and drink were served on a little wooden tray. I was looking forward to having an egg toast experience like I had when I was living in Korea, but unfortunately I have to say I was disappointed in the one I got. The chicken was thick but not wide, so it was basically a 2-bite chunk which left me with soggy bread for the rest of the sandwich. The brioche roll was.. unrolling while I ate, so as I was holding it, there would just be strips of bread that would unfurl with each bite. The egg had no flavor, so it all came down to the sauce that was drizzled on top, which was a nicely spiced sauce. I'd be willing to give another flavor a try, but would not be making my way back to Bellevue just to do that. The matcha bomb was good - it was matcha with a shot of espresso. It seemed like there may have been black sesame in it? Either that or a TON of espresso bean flakes made their way into the drink. My friend had gotten a matcha latte, which was a bit confusing as she ended up with very light green milk, essentially (minimal matcha flavor). Overall, it was so-so. Satisfied the hunger though. read more

You order at the counter with straight faced people who don't acknowledged you. I got the bulgogi, it was bland and had some fatty/chewy bits of meat I had to spit out. The mocha tasted like chocolate milk, not convinced there was any espresso in it. For being in Seattle, they need to do better. $20 wasted. Wanted to like this place but as many others have stated, you can make this better at home. My sandwich was extremely saucey, to the point where there was a pool of sauce on the tray and I couldn't really taste anything else. I also ordered avocado for my sandwich, which they forgot. I let them know and they gave me a side of it, instead of just fixing the sandwich. It wasn't easy getting their attention either, as the staff person at the counter was sitting on the ground off to the side on her phone. Really cute spot in Bellevue. Went here for breakfast after a workout and the breakfast sandwiches are delicious. I got the one with tuna and my daughter, salmon. I tasted hers and the salmon was so good. The service was good, they were very friendly as we ordered and when we left. You bust your own tables here but the way it's setup, it makes sense. I didn't try any drinks but they looked good. Overall a cool place that I would visit again. read more

I'm from Hawaii and when I got to this cafe it was such a welll worth find!! The eggs are soooo yummy and silky and having it in a sando is just top tier with the ingredients combined with the light fluffy slightly sweet bread! Ambiance was nice. Indoor decors are really cute. Service was fine. Also note that they charge 15% tips by default and you need to pick up the food and bus the table yourself. Food was meh. The brioche bread was really nice. But the sandwich itself wasn't prepared well. The bacon, tomato and lettuce were jammed on the top part of the sandwich. And the egg was on the bottom half. When you eat it, the bacon and lettuce would come out with each bite. And when you're half way done, you would be left with egg and bread only. So even though the sandwich was very instagram-able, I was disappointed by how the food was arranged. Not a great eating experience. read more

This is a great idea in theory - unusual, creative, and quick breakfast sandwiches to go. But, in reality, I paid for a very small sandwich which cost 11.99 that barely fueled my morning. The sandwich was very good. The strawberry banana smoothie tasted like it was made from a powder rather than real fruit. Was in Snohomish for a wedding recently and decided to kill some time here in Bellevue on the way to the airport. The service was friendly and fast given how many people were there, my sandwich was delicious, and the drink was refreshing! Instagram eats first! This place definitely looks better than they taste - a current trend with a lot of restaurants nowadays. We came here for some sandwiches and didn't have the highest expectations, which helped with the review. It was good but very overpriced. We've come here for two types of drinks so far. The lemon-ades and the smoothies. The lemon-ades are perfect. Sour and sweet and sparkling which is perfect for hot days. The smoothies are ok. Not anything that makes them special and sometimes the taste is very plain. Interior is clean but we've always taken to go. Service is via screen order and then pickup at the counter. Met up with some out of town family here. We tried a few of their selections. The Lox was a great balance with not too much salmon in it that it overtook all the other flavors of accompanying ingredients. Bulgogi was delicious according to my kiddo, he did not want to share. Other kiddo tried the Ham, said he wished it had more ham or if the ham was thicker than the thin slices similar to the store bought sandwich meat shavings. The interior was very minimal and cute. This place has been on my list to try for a while. I finally decided to drive today to try it out. It's located in bellevue downtown. Parking can be hard to find depends on what day/time you go. Interior design was very modern/clean-- definitely would bring bloggers/influencers in lol. service was pretty slow though. i think the total wait time was about 30 minutes to get my food for Sunday lunch. You order on the machine and you pick it up and bus yourself-- Minimal interaction between staff which was fine with me. Giving 3 star overall due to the wait time, price, and taste. Each sandwich was about $10.50 or $11 for bulgogi sandwich. Bingoo was $8. Ice coffee was $4. Was expecting average taste at least. None of the sandwich was warm and the bread tasted like they made it a while ago (although i think the bread was the best part of the sandwich). My avocado sandwich literally had no taste to it-- it was so plain. I wish they would add more sauce or something. I think bulgogi sandwich was better imo. Coffee was just okay. For bingsoo they didn't even call the number out loud so it was just sitting there for a while that i melted by the time we started eating. Couldn't taste much sesame (not sure if it's because it already became liquid or what). I feel like overall their food was very plain and didn't have much flavor. We stopped at Semicolon Cafe in Bellevue for a quick and tasty lunch on a short 2 night getaway that we made to the Seattle/Bellevue area.They serve some really tasty Korean Egg Drop sandwiches as well as a variety of refreshing drinks, macarons, pudding, and bingsoo. Korean Egg Drop sandwiches consist of thick slices of Brioche bread stuffed with fluffy scrambled eggs and a variety of other fillings. (I couldn't actually find the words Egg Drop Sandwich anywhere on their menu or their website, but they serve Bingsoo which is a Korean dessert and their sandwiches match all the pictures and descriptions of Egg Drop Sandwiches that pop up if I search for "Egg Drop Sandwiches" on Google. So, I'm very sure that's what they're serving!)   There's a rectangular screen set up where you can place your order electronically. We ordered:   Brewed Coffee Caramel Latte Lady Matcha Chicken Sandwich Avocado Sandwich Our first time eating Korean Egg Drop sandwiches and this was a marvelous introduction to it. Semicolon is an egg sandwich store! I was really excited to try it but I was honestly kind of disappointed My boyfriend and I got the avocado sandwich and the SOS. I was super surprised to see how much smaller the avocado sandwich was since it was more pricier than the SOS. The avocado was yummy but small. I did not like the kiwi sauce for the SOS. I also thought the brioche toast was very lacking - tasted almost like normal white bread to me. However, the cafe itself is super cute. Service was good. You order everything on the kiosk but the workers were nice and offered to clean the table before we sat. They also have a sign inside that includes a promo code for 2 hr free parking for the lot next door. Be sure to wait for parking! We got the ham sandwich, chicken sandwich, and hot matcha latte. The spicy chili mayo sauce was extremely good but the sandwich itself was okay. The distribution of meat (ham) to all the other ingredients could have been more. I did enjoy the melted cheese and egg though! The egg was perfectly cooked and fluffy! Both the Lox and the tuna sandwich were good, all the flavors of the butter and sauces melted together with the fish stuffed inside. The mango-ade was refreshing and not too sour. On a weekend afternoon, Semicolon Cafe seemed pretty busy. Most of the seats inside where filled, but it was not crowded and there wasn't really a long line. You get to self-order on a tablet, which is convenient. The wait wasn't too long, as there were only a couple of people waiting for orders in front of me. The natural lighting in the store is great, feels like a nice place to sit and chat. Bulgogi Sandwich: I was super excited to try this after seeing so many people talk about it. The flavors were quite yummy, I enjoyed the beef and the sauce. The egg was also nice and fluffy. Though it was a bit more oily overall than I'd prefer.
