S.O.S Sandwich
Teja K.

Updating to 4 stars, the second time I went, the bread was stale and dry. A little disappointing because it was so good the first time. Hopefully it was a one time thing

Bulgogi Sandwich and Lady Matcha

Delicious, well crafted food! I love the sandwiches here! The bulgogi and lox sandwiches are my go-tos. Everything always tastes fresh and I love the way it's displayed.

Solid café and sandwich spot in Bellevue. The sandwich I got was more sweet and savory. The bread was soft and they put a lot of mayo on it. My latte was standard and I see myself coming back. The interiors are minimal and modern and the service is quick.

Delicious, healthy, great service and menu! 10/10 Really appreciate the friendly service and smooth ordering screen. I was impressed by how the digital menu would toggle down each item and show a picture of it. Super helpful! Got to try: - mango-banana smoothie (fresh, not overly sweet, yummy!) -B.E.L.T. (bacon egg lettuce tomato; very satisfying in a farm-to-table fresh way) - Lox (so flavorful with the dill cream and smoked salmon! I loved every bite.) The egg was so fluffy and the toast was just right.

"BELT" sandwich

It's a small cafe with a little bit of window seating. Not ideal for conversations. One person waiting for a takeout and another on a laptop. Pretty slow on a Weds at lunch time. I've been wanting to try their sandwiches so got the bacon & egg one. The egg was fluffy and good, but all of the bacon was on top so by the time I got down to the bottom half of the sandwich, it was missing a main ingredient and therefore bland. The environment felt empty and not at all like a cozy cafe. And the staff weren't very friendly or welcoming. Wouldn't return.

Quiet little bistro with the egg sandwiches. Service is quick and prices are fair for these fancy sandwiches. The do have tea and coffee as well as dessert.

Bulgogi Sandwich Matcha Latte(no espresso)

Went here for Saturday lunch and it wasn't exactly busy since the cafe is small but it was full!! There was no wait to order and it's through a kiosk. I just ordered to go and ate at the Bellevue park across the street. The drink came out almost right away and waited a few minutes for the sandwich. The matcha was not sweet at all and was bitter so probably was suppose to get the strawberry matcha to get some sweetness since I already had regular sweetness. It was kind of like every sip I took the matcha was very strong that it was like eating a spoonful of matcha. The bulgogi sandwich was good but the ratio was a little off to me. All the meat was at the top half of the sandwich so when I got to the bottom it was just bread. And there was a good amount of bulgogi too it was just all at the top. But the bread was good too!!

There's not much service. You order from an iPad, they call your name when your drink/food is ready, and you pick it up at the counter. With that being said, it was quick service. The ambiance is nice. I especially like the plants all over the place. Chicken Sandwich 4/5 The egg and the chicken were a bit bland. The sauce helped it out a bit but there wasn't much flavor otherwise. The bread is soft and on the sweeter side. Good size sandwich but still a bit overpriced imo. Tiramisu Latte 4.5/5 Good sweetness level and flavors but tasted a bit watered down.

Mango ade

Yummy place for sandwiches in a very relaxing, cafe-like setting though at a somewhat high price. This place is so clean and simple inside, and a nice minimalistic place to take a break as well... kinda what a semicolon does for a run-on sentence, so the whole atmosphere matches its name. I got here with a friend on a Friday around 12pm and there were a couple tables available. There aren't many tables to begin with though, and only one or two tables for groups larger than 4. I came here specifically for their sandwich and drinks, and that's exactly what my friend and I got. For this visit, I had the BELT (bacon, eggs, lettuce and tomatoes) sandwich and a Lady Matcha (with no sugar or milk adjustments), while my friend had their bulgogi sandwich and mango ade (at half-sweet). The BELT is nothing short of amazing, but also nothing rather special about it either. It's pretty small, and for almost $12 before tax it's pretty expensive. The presentation, color and way that the bread and condiments just perfectly squish together got me wanting to eat the sandwich and skip taking pictures altogether because it looked so good! And taste wise it doesn't disappoint. Eggs are fluffy and soft, and bacon has tons of flavor even though it wasn't as crisp as I imagined it would be. I got a bite of the bulgogi in my friend's sandwich and the meat was nicely flavored though a little bit dry. His sandwich was 50 cents more expensive than mine before tax. As for our drinks, the Lady Matcha really hit the spot on such a warm day, and same goes for my friend's mango ade! The matcha wasn't anything eye-opening but adding the strawberry milk had a nice, sweet kick to it though I wasn't sure about the added popcorn on top; aesthetically I loved it but I had to get it out with a spoon. My friend and I agreed that the mango ade is prefect when half-sweet; if it was any more sweet then it'd be too much to handle. Both drinks were reasonably priced compared to other places I've gotten similar drinks from. It felt very relaxing to sit inside here, and my friend and I easily spent nearly an hour just enjoying our food and chatting. This is definitely a high recommend for me even with the small shortcomings!

We swung by this spot bc we knew we'd be in the area and found this in Yelp close to Bellevue Square. Initially, we saw the higher price for the sandwiches but figured let's give it a try. So glad we did. The store is nice but not elaborate. Parking is validated for 2 hours (parking next door). We decided to order 2 sandwiches (BELT & Bulgogi) and 2 lattes (Lady Matcha & Tiramisu). We enjoyed the food. I would recommend giving this cafe a try - for sure. I'd come back if I get a chance.

Strawberry matcha and lox breakfast sandwich

This was a very aesthetic breakfast. The sandwich was really good, I got the lox. And the matcha was pretty good. Expensive though

Strawberry smoothie
Ratish K.

loved the Chicken Sandwich and the spiceness. the mushroom Shroom Sandwich was great as well. i wish they allowed customization to the Avocado Sandwich so that I could have the egg on the side and added some jalapenos and spicy sauce. the Strawberry Banana smoothie was amazing.. not sweet and perfect smoothie.

Sos
Louise F.

Yeah this isn't the type of egg sandwich you could make yourself at home. It's so beautifully made with great flavors too. Places like eggslut has nothing on this type of egg sandwich. Between the fluffy japanese milk bread, all the colorful variety and the fluffy egg. I chose the sos because i was so curious about the kiwi sauce although I don't think I really caught it in all that was happening in the sandwich. Didn't stop me from majorly enjoying it though.

Ask the Community - Semicolon Cafe

I have severe shellfish allergy (shrimp, crab, and lobster) is there any risk of cross contamination? Is there any shellfish ingredients in sauces or spices?

Our ingredient is free from shellfish. Therefore, we believe it is safe for you. However, to exercise extra caution, we recommend avoiding lox and tuna sandwiches. Instead, opt for avocado, ham, and BELT sandwiches, as they are a safer choice.

Is there any vegan sandwiches?

No, there aren’t any Vegan sandwiches there. They specialize in Korean egg drop sandwiches so all of their sandwiches have egg in them. You can get Vegetarian sandwiches there, but not Vegan.

Do you guys take cash or only credit cards?

Both cash and cards are accepted.

What's the difference between the matcha and matcha bomb?

Matcha bomb is a matcha latte with espresso shot, a matcha and espresso fusion.

Which sandwich is everybody's favorite?

Bulgogi! Super flavorful and has great textures

If you're craving some bingsoo, make the trek to Bellevue if possible. This store is shared with Xi'an Noodles with a shared restroom and wifi available. Located in the Belgate plaza, there is plenty of parking. Mixed Berry Bingsoo - my favorite bingsoo because the berries are packed with flavor, sweet, and enhance the dessert. With a mix of sweetness, tartness, and acidity, the bingsoo has balance and the contrast actually helps each flavor shine. The berry juices even add flavor to the bingsoo below (and there are berries at the bottom). The only mediocre aspect is the whipped cream on top which is just whatever. Taro Bingsoo - the menu has alternated between ube ice cream and taro ice cream but I think it's always been taro ice cream because it's not overly sweet. Red bean is also sweet but after devouring the toppings (including the ice cream), the bingsoo itself doesn't offer much. It's sweet shaved milk with condensed milk but the taro flavor isn't as potent.

They use a self-service model for food collection, utensils/water, and bussing dishes - which most diners are good about, but the staff could do a better job with wiping down tables and making sure tables are cleared and utensils are topped up. I was there for over 2 hours and they ran out of metal spoons and paper napkins by the time I went to order a second drink (about an hour in). Aside from this detail, they offer a great third space for folks to hang out in. I saw groups of friends, families, and co-working people come through, and everyone seemed to enjoy their visit.

My first time around, I got the lilikoi pog with li hing mui and vanilla ice cream. AMAZING. It was sweet but not too sweet, a little tangy, good portion for 1-2 people, and balanced by the mochi and fresh strawberries. I loved it so much I got it again my second time around just without the vanilla ice cream. If you're getting Mike's for the first time, 100% get this and li hing mui is a must. My cousin got the calamansi mango sago which was also pretty good but not our favorite. The calamansi came thru much stronger than the mango which I liked but know isn't for everyone. The sago and coconut flakes gave it a pleasant earthiness/nuttiness. I probably wouldn't get it again, but I'm still glad we tried it. I thought I was going to get like a small cup of ice cream or a churro or something. That's when I noticed this pretty large line outside this popup called Mike's Shaved Ice - which I thought was odd because none of the other dessert places nearby had any line at all. Was this place really that good that people were willing to wait 20-30 minutes when they could get something else for another place for free? Turns out, yes, it is This might take the cake as the best dessert I've had in Seattle My goodness, this was good I think I've had shaved ice before at some point, and I recently had a snow cone, which is somewhat similar, but nothing could have prepared me for how incredibly good this tasted. I got 3 flavors - pineapple, blue vanilla, and orange dream, and each bite had so much sweet, juicy, just-absolutely-perfect flavor that it was bursting in my mouth. When I took my first bite, I was in awe at how amazing that was. The ice was shaved so thin you couldn't even really feel the individual crystals at all. After taking a bite, it lasts a few second and melts away into your tongue, leaving nothing but that amazing syrup poured on top of the ice. It was truly a magical experience Picture this - you're scooping away, encountering zero resistance at all, and each bite can be one of 3 diverse but incredible flavors. Also, this thing is pretty damn big as well I've gotten this far without even talking about the vanilla ice cream inside. It seemed to normally be a topping, but I got mine inside because reasons? I'm not complaining at all though, because after you get to the ice cream, a lot of the shaved ice is melted, so you're kind of just eating the ice cream with the flavored syrup, which is also a fantastic experience. If I ever get the chance, I would like to try it with the ice cream on top, however This is slightly expensive for ice cream, but well within reason when you see how much you get.
