This store has the best customer service every time I go in. They follow Covid protocols and only allow limited number of customers inside at a time. You can pick up prepackaged box of chocolates or pick and choose your own from the display inside. For Valentine's Day I got a mixed 1lb box of dark chocolates (scotchmallows, dark peanut butter, dark chocolate almond clusters). The staff is super patient and takes the time to pack each piece of chocolate in the box. If you don't want a full box of chocolate (I mean who doesn't), you can just purchase individually and weighed by pound. They are still giving out samples in little plastic bags due to Covid. Pro tip: get your Valentine's Day chocolate early... maybe a week early. There was a queue literally all day in front of the store on Valentine's Day. read more

Got some lollipops for the kids and chocolate for the family with exceptional service from the male and female staffers working. They were following Covid protocols and offered us individually bagged samples. They also were very polite and patient as a customer came in and accosted the female staff member after being told of a $2 charge to recreate a gifted box of chocolates to her liking. Despite the customer's threat of (and omg I kid you not!) calling corporate and *the news media,* they were gracious and patient with the customer. Love this store and their service read more

On a Saturday afternoon in December, I stopped by to buy to sample their chocolates and buy a few boxes of chocolate. I was nicely greeted in a crowded store. All the staff ladies were really nice and friendly. One worker was passing out candles with a smile. After purchasing boxes of candy, the cashier was so nice and gave us more sample of candies. a california staple that my family always buys for family/friends when they return back to asia! everytime my parents and family visit from asia, they buy see's candies as gifts for other family members and friends for when they return home. this most recent visit was no exception. we are always kindly greeted when they go with sample chocolates in hand! they are always quick and helpful to answer any questions and to inform us about any items that are discounted. we went on july 3rd this time and got the lollipops that were on sale as wells as a few pounds of assorted chocolates. always a joy to go to the see's candies store! five stars! read more

I have been to See's many times. I think their chocolate is really good, high quality, and ain't overpriced. I have had certain chocolates I've loved - that butterscotch truffle tho.. I'm still thinking about it. And I've had other truffles that were okay - I expected more out of the Kona Mocha truffle. So many times that I've gone to See's even at different stores the service has been exceptional. I shop at this particular store because the service is always great. The staff at this location are always smiling and clearly enjoy what they do, which is make people like me happy with their delicious chocolates. I was in the store a few times the week of Valentines and they were cranking out the chocolate all with a smile. No matter how big or small the order was each and every person working this store kept smiling and helping every person as if they were the only person in the store. Julie was gracious with samples and kept everyone entertained. I was helped by Frances, the store manager, and it's no wonder her staff is great because she's the best in the business. Even in my old(er) age and as most candy has become way too sweet for my discerning taste buds, I can't bring myself to ever turn away See's chocolates. The sweetest I'll go are the Bordeauxs, but I can eat more than a couple Scotchmallows, anything with nuts, mint patties, molasses chips, or Rum Nougats in one sitting. When you wonder what to buy as a souvenir for friends abroad, shop here! See's is uniquely American and even Angelino (from Los Angeles). The shop here is small. They have really picky customers who want their chocolates a "certain" way. I feel sorry for the workers. They give you gracious samples. My only complaint is that they close early. She was patient, attentive, helpful, and she additionally had a joke for every situation. (hope that helps the next person cruising around looking for it). I am accustomed to visiting Montclair Place (old Montclair Plaza) See's candies. This location felt more intimate. A GREAT WAY TO SKIP PEOPLE THAT ARE SHOPPING FOR OTHER GIFTS AND HAPPEN UPON A CHOCOLATE STORE. People visit here with purpose. 4 stars for one very sad reason...I did not get an offer to try that days chocolate. Place was clean and it was very easy to find the box of chocolates I came to purchase. Both cash registers were in operation and it was easy to signal the staff member that I was ready to purchase. Usually during check-out a little chocolate sampler is offered, maybe they were out, maybe they forgot... I don't know. Since it is bad form to eat someone else's gift chocolate I went without.
