i love going to sees candy, however at this location I had a horrible experience. The person who helped me was named Lucas J. He seemed quite visibly upset that i was unsure of what chocolate i wanted and then dropped my bag on the floor and made a comment about it falling on the floor around the lines of "good thing they stayed in the bag" i was so frustrated I didn't even want a new bag and just left. I hope it was just an off day and he's not normally that visibly upset with guest for simply not fully knowing what that want. i think i'm gonna stay going to the one in pasadena where everyone is nice and willing/wanting to help. read more

My youngest daughter has been wanting to try a couple of the raspberry chocolates from See's Candies. Well, we were in The Shoppes at Santa Anita. We looked up and saw See's staring right at us. It was a sign. We had to head on over here ASAP. This See's shop is not very big, but it has the essential variety of chocolates. They weren't super busy at the time. We got in line and we were up next. The lady who helped us appeared to have rush the sale transaction. Not sure why because there weren't anyone else behind us. Anyway, I got my go-to chocolates such as the pecan and almond buds plus rum, almond, peanut butter nougats and dark scotchmallow. My daughter got her raspberry truffle and dark raspberry cream. Pricing per pound has gone up, but their good quality hasn't changed. Yummy chocolates of all time! We did get a couple free samples of chocolates. Thank you! We weren't asked which ones we wanted. Samples were just handed to us. I know other See's shops ask for our sample of choice which I like a lot because we get to choose what we want to try. Anyway, you can't go wrong with See's Candies. Fantastic service and staff is always incredibly welcoming and friendly. I came to get a 1/2 lb box of chocolates. I finally got to try the peppermint creme and omgee! If you are a fan of peppermint patties then you definitely will appreciate this one. Of course I had to order the milk chocolate Bordeaux, the dark raspberry creme, the milk peanut crunch, dark walnut square and peanut butter patties. The milk nougat is similar to a snickers and definitely worth trying. Overall, it was a successful trip and definitely will be back! read more

As I was passing by this See's Candies store, I noticed that they had Easter themed chocolates out in the displays already. I've always loved getting the Christmas themed Chocolate Balls and Milk Chocolate Eggs from See's Candies so I couldn't pass on this chance now. This store is located on the 2nd level of the Shops at Santa Anita mall by Forever 21 near the center court. The staffs were welcoming and greeting us as we enter the store. I knew what I wanted so I grabbed a few chocolates and started to line up to pay. While waiting to pay, the staff asked if I wanted to sample some chocolates and I chose the Milk Bordeaux, which tasted so good! I have to remind myself to get this on my next visit. read more

I was going on vacation and they have an item that always sells out very quickly if i dont catch it at the right time. I didnt even know it was possible, but i was able to call them and reserve a quatity of those items, so I was able to do so over the phone. Its a really small store, but it can get really busy especially during the holidays. Parking at the mall could also pose a problem for those not patient or adventurous enough to search. So, without taking chances and making guesses - i know i just had to secure my order. When i arrived, i approached the counter and asked about my order - they even recognized my voice and it was indeed a hot item. Needless to say, I was able to comfortably shop for extra candy and also got what i came for. So my suggestion is look online for something you really want, request to hold the item (give them an eta) then pick up the item. That way, you dont have to rush or worry about it being taken by someone else. read more

Cute See's Candies shop and I got to try a sample of the hazelnut chocolate when I was browsing. I always just get their flavored coffee lollipops which were always so tasty. Their hazelnut chocolate flavors have been my favorite flavors over the years when I shopped for gifting purposes. When I'm back in Arcadia Mall like tomorrow I will get some more lollipops. Soooo delish. Can't beat those. If you need something to sweeten what you have eaten for lunch, this is the place to go. read more

C'mon, Gladys... you know how it works. They've been serving up the same delicious chocolates for like a hundred years. As an educator, I do get my fair share of See's candy and gift certificates. Last year when we moved to a new home, our "moving cleaning" revealed a couple of gift certificates for one-pound boxes that had slipped down behind our dresser. These things were at LEAST 8 years old. On a prayer, we took them over to See's in the mall, to (wait for it) SEE if they would honor them. And they did. Because they're awesome. How many times have you walked into a See's Candies hoping that they'd give you a free sample of something that you'd like? I always hoped that they'd give me a dark chocolate sample. For the very FIRST time, I was asked what I would like to sample. I asked for a sample of something that I have never tried. I have been going to this See's location for numerous years. This is the first time that I am writing a review for this location. Why? I had an AWESOME customer service experience with Stephen V.! He was very friendly with a couple that came into See's just for a free sample. While the couple was waiting for their free sample, they asked about the cute single and double candy boxes. He informed them that they are usually given as a party or wedding favor. It was nice that he took his time to converse with the couple, despite them only wanting a free sample. I could not go into See's just for a free sample. I would not be able to resist the temptation of buying my favorite candies. I'm not about to write a list of my favorites. The list would be far too long. It all depends upon my mood. I have my moods of dark chocolate, fudge, brittle, hard candy, nuts, truffles, molasses chips, scotch kisses, and lollipops. On a previous visit at a different See's Candies, I was given a free sample of the Bridge Mix. It was not the same as the See's Candies Bridge Mix I grew up with. Now it has mini molasses chips, almonds, pecans, brittle, dark chocolate coconut like a Mounds bar but better in their Bridge Mix. I came in wanting to purchase a half a pound of the bridge mix. Due to Stephen V.'s patience, I ended up purchasing more than a pound of delicious chocolate. Kudos to Stephen V. for his personable and positive attitude. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All customers are expected to wear a mask too. All of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open to customers at limited capacity. They are also sanitizing in between customers. While I was checking out some of their chocolates in this establishment today, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: This See's Candy store is located inside the Westfield Santa Anita mall. There are plenty of parking available during the pandemic. Prepandemic parking was hell. They need to make some underground parking garages or above ground parking garages to accommodate all of the people trying to shop at this mall. It sucked having to circle the lot for like 20 minutes just for a parking spot. Store: The store here is pretty big, clean, neat, and tidy. Everything is organized in a way that makes sense. First off I want to start by saying that this Sees candy hands down is my favorite one. I may not come often; mainly when my mom comes to visit but when I do, I always have a great experience. Today I had the pleasure of dealing with Jenny. She was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly and some how knew exactly what I wanted. I went to Sees to get a box of nuts and chews for a birthday gift. They were all pre wrapped in Easter packaging. I went into the sees candy located at the Santa anita mall and requested a sample of apricot delight and Patti Carmel and the employee (blond with accent when speaking) refused to let me sample a second one. She stated "only 1" with rudeness. I have never had a Patti Carmel and this store just lost a customer which I usually spend over one hundred dollars. Very unprofessional. Stopped by for something sweet with my brother, his girlfriend, and my boyfriend. There was one worker handling the display case and register since it was an hour before closing time. He was helping one lady before us, who wanted one of those customizable candy boxes, and one gentleman after our group. The worker made sure to touch base with us and apologizing about the delay as he worked quickly to wrap the box and handed it to the lady. He helped us pretty quickly and was kind enough to let us sample whatever piece of chocolate we wanted. I ended up buying a chocolate cigar for my boyfriend and then 4 pieces of chocolate for the 4 of us. Mayfair and Divinity are only two if my favorites from there and I was able to sample their limited time item, which was a dark chocolate truffle shapped into a heart. Guys, no matter what See's Chocolate is just the best chocolate out there. Hands down. This location just adds an extra something to the sweetness of the candy, and that's customer service. The store manager, I think her name is Destiny, deserves a raise because she is cool as a cucumber when it comes to chaos at the store. See's is popular, people want candy, best candy is at See's, etc. So today when I went to See's it was busy and the line was pretty long, as typical. But worth the wait. I noticed a lot of older people at See's today, it seemed like they went to find someone to chat with, more like a social interaction opportunity that they may not always get. And let me tell you, I'm glad I stayed in line. I loved seeing how sweet these two workers at See's were to the older customers, and all customers actually, they gave everyone in line two samples, yes I know you can ask for as many samples as you like, but it was more of an "hey I see you waiting, thanks for waiting, I'm going to give you two samples, as many samples!, cause I appreciate you waiting" thing from the manager and her coworker. It's service and a great sense of humanity that will Keep me coming back to this location. They really know how to serve the customer. I think the manager is doing a great job at training and in general is just a great happy human being. Wish there was more people out there like her. Was in there two customers ahead of me each was offered a free as usual, when I was ordering the candy I wanted I was not offered any. I paid for my order and in my bag was a zip lock bag with two old molted candles made with peanuts and I wasn't even asked if I had an peanut allergy The person behind me was often a sample and asked about peanut allergy. I came here on a Saturday and most of the time I avoid,avoid the mall but since I'm leaving out of town this week, I Decided that this is pretty much my only day that can stop at the mall to pick up some stuff that I needed. I needed a pound of chocolate and I got serviced quite quickly and the chocolates that they gave us was pretty good. So while munching on the pieces they let us try, we started picking our favorites. I love the polar bears, I like white chocolate the most and I can't have enough of it. Also the white cashew brittle is a delight. Then she rang us up it came to $14.50 for our whole box. What is kind of a cool fact that I didn't know was that it was based in California...I always thought that See's was from some state in the middle of United States...but finding that out made me want to buy more chocolate lol. :) The store inside reminds me of what it probably looked like back in the 1940's old school black and white stripes. They used to give samples to everyone who walked in but these days they only give it to people who patronize the store. The service is also so-so and they will only talk to you and maybe even smile at you if you buy something. just maybe. He's also the reason I gave this store a 3-star rating. Sorry not sorry. Is this guy a seasonal employee? He should be! He's not suitable for a customer service type of job. There was a line when I came in, and when it was my turn, he NODDED at me. That's his way of greeting me. I was expecting at least a "Hi".. coz that's what I usually get from the other employees. Or a smile. But a nod? A rude nod that you'll likely see your older brother doing. Lol and then when I told him I wanted a 1 pound box, he asked me what I'd like (he's just like talking to his guy friends), i said assorted. He pointed to the pre-made boxes and told me there are assorted chocolate boxes in that section. I said I want to customize. And he said ok. Dude I wouldn't waste my time in line if I'm just getting those boxes. He never spoke a word while I was choosing my candies. Nothing like "what else would you want?" Or "is it okay if I go over a pound?" When it was time to pay, he asked me to go to the corner counter by hand signal like "come here" and he gave my box to his co-worker without telling me that that person will now assist me or whatsoever.
