On a Saturday morning in late May, my sister and I stopped by after 9am. 2 staff persons were outside asking us if we were buying bags. We were lucky when they had mini cooler bags. It was limited 3 and chose blue colors or pink colors. They had plenty after 9:30am in the carts. It wasn't too crazy shopping after 9am. I was able to find my staples on the shelf. This concerns the 467 Rosemead location - Crew is AWESOME. In this day and age I feel we all want to just not interact and be left alone. I'm sure that's just me. Jaded. But, the crew at this store made me let down my walls. We were approached many times during our visit this evening with offers for suggestions, and I have to say every one of the crew was charming. They actually got us to buy more than we came for, and my wife and I are not complaining. Our checkout person saw that we were buying some crackers, and he let us know that there was another version that everyone was going crazy for - we went back to get 'em, I just ate 'em, and damn if he wasn't telling the truth. His partner, Nova, was awesome as well. Her first day, according to him (wish I would have gotten his name). Clean aisles as always, friendly staff. Big shoutout to Lauren on 5/27 when she was giving try-outs of the strawberry sheet cake. Delicious and she was kind enough to offer me another one and tell me where the toilet paper was. Another staff member also assisted me with finding it. Good prices, enough parking and not crazy/chaotic with cars. Would return. Update -- I did return on the same day. Lauren and the strawberry sheet cake were gone. However, Joanne is also very helpful. She finished sorting boxes and showed me where the biscuits/cookies are! I gotta give it to Trader Joe's. Although I'm far from being a fan on 100 percent of any of their prepared foods. There are some items here that reign supreme. They got wild organic frozen blueberries which I LOVE, their organic fruits and veggies are priced perfectly. Portions are perfect for a few days before the next stock up. Also one of the main reasons why I'm writing this review is because their floral section, which is possibly if not the best. Beating all florists by pricing every inch of the way and selection. This has always been my go to for anytime I want to surprise my wife with flowers. The color selections are always in season. Also there isn't one bouquet I have made that my wife hasn't loved. Brownie points to Trader Joe's. Also let's not leave out the amazing conversations you get to have at every cash register. The employees are all well seasoned with the best attitudes. I don't think I have ever met anyone having a bad day here. Always glad to help and always thankful that you are a shopper. I mean why can't other businesses take notes? Five stars for this location, especially Carlos and Armando. About 24 hours after purchasing several refrigerated items, I experienced a long power outage and the food spoiled. After a difficult experience at another location, I came here and Carlos and Armando were incredibly kind, understanding, and professional. They handled everything smoothly and made the situation stress free. This review has nothing to do with the products and everything to do with the way the staff treated me. Super disappointing Sunday w managers at this Trader Joe's that I go to all the time. Bought about $350 worth of food. I put it all the way in car. I take the cart back to the rack and must've been 6-8 carts sticking out in the middle of the parking area near rt where ppl need to turn rt to park. I grabbed 4+ mine and I push five back. No big deal. I go back in to let the manager's behind the desk know there are a lot of carts sticking out into the parking lot area about five or six of them and having a good time smiling talking while all of their cash register coworkers are busting their tail. When I tell them one of them says yeah we know we already have somebody going out there. Baloney! Two of the guys that saw me irritated that were near the desk follow right behind me to go get the carts. He doesn't thank me but the guys who go out to get the carts thank me a couple of times Do you really have the right managers in place? So we need 56 managers to do a ton of work, but they have plenty of time to socialize while the cash register folks are busting their tail because everybody's coming in for NFL game food or whatever Come on folks we need to have a higher standard of excellence when we're at work at least match your cash, register folks! read more

Although it wasn't necessarily a core memory of mine growing up with traditional Asian parents which preferred a grocer with more oriental ingredients, TJ nonetheless is every bit worth the hype if not more! From the endless selection of produce, to the freshly baked goods, and finally to the undeniably convenient and tasty frozen food selection, there seems to be a variety of options for wayfarers looking for a tasty meal, either in the present or future. I had a few questions about poinsettia and flagged down an employee foe help. It happened to be manager Julie. She was friendly, courteous, and provided me with excellent customer service. She informed me that I could always call and have them order the quantity I need. She also said that if they did not have enough poinsettias in stock at their store, they will be happy to arrange to have the poinsettia held for me at another Trader Joe location. Trader Joe is selling medium size poinsettia for only $6.99 each vs. $9.99 elsewhere. As always, great products and awesome prices at Trader Joe's. The store was busy as usual, but well stocked as they have employees constantly replenishing products on the shelves. I was looking for a Trader Joe's (TJ) that I have never shopped at in the past. I found this one located on the north side of Pasadena. It's right next door to Stonefire Grill if you're curious. I love shopping at TJ. They have so many interesting food items in frozen and non-frozen form. I have my go-to staples that I usually buy from TJ. It never fails though... I usually end up getting more items than I originally planned LOL and that's okay. This TJ is a pretty standard size TJ. I've seen bigger and smaller ones. I specifically wanted to pick up some salsa and chips. I was here on a Tuesday night around 8:30 PM... 30 minutes prior to closing time and I saw a lot of TJ staff stocking up the shelves. While I was at the salsa aisle, I asked the young gentleman who was stocking up salsas at the time which salsa he would recommend. He was very kind to share his top picks. He also brought me to the fresh salsa section, too. I ended up getting both jarred (Salsa Autentica, Salsa Verde, Organic Salsa Chunky) and freshly packed (Guacasala, Extra Hot Habanero Ghost Salsa, Salsa Especial Medium, Salsa Especial Mild) salsas. When I went back to the salsa aisle where the chips were, there were two other gentleman and I asked them for their top picks on chips. I got two different recommendations which was fine. Everyone has different taste buds and that's okay. I ended up opening both bags of chips to give them a try and I liked them both so I got them both (Organic Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips, Truly Tortilla Chips). Hey, I work fast! LOL I also found out that TJ has a generous return policy... you can bring almost any item back to the store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. This includes food items you've opened and even eaten as well as nonedible products that didn't meet your expectations... now that's great business policy! Thank you all for your time and good recommendations/tips. I appreciate it. All the staff from stockers to cashiers are so very friendly and pleasant. That's what a great business should have... great staff, great service, and great items! Just GREAT! I would recommend this TJ location any day. And yes, I ended up picking up other food items beside salsa and chips... like I said, it never fails LOL. Btw, tons of parking available so no worries. I don't shop at Trader Joe's as much as I would like but this specific location had a very spacious parking lot which is a plus to me! I only came for florals and they had a good variety. However, they didn't have eucalyptus that day so I was a little disappointed but it is the holidays so I don't blame them. The florals were fresh, cheap, and the cash wrap people were extremely friendly! It was extremely busy but the workers were still friendly, the lady who assisted me offered me a wine box to hold all my flowers which was quite shocking to me bc I'm used to scramble all the small bouquet in my arms all the way to my car. Trader Joe's has been around for the longest time, but I just never put in the time and effort to make the drive and boy do I regret it. Trader Joe's offers the most organic and fresh selection of produce. Not to mention the selection of snacks that they offer is just crazy. I often go for the fresh tangerine juice and snacks (Brookie, Swedish candies, and everything but the bagel seasoning chips), it's just super affordable and tasty. The store is always packing and brightly lit. Everything is just very organized which I really love. Service here is also amazing, they are very giving with their complements and that often makes my day. I will definitely be coming to Trader Joe's more often. read more

Anyway, since we don't have Trader Joe's in Hawaii, most friends and family appreciate anything from this store... And - I know that if I see something I like, I should get it RIGHT AWAY before it sells out! The new items are intriguing - like Chocolate Mochi Cake Mix! The seasonal pumpkin merchandise has arrived - even Pumpkin Maple Bacon Dog Treats! Wow! Just like every Trader Joe's location that I have visited, the parking is free; the restroom (here, it's called Lumi 'au'au) is convenient; the store is neat, bright, and clean; and the employees are friendly and helpful! I get it, they want to make sure my dog is a service dog. I told the manager that when I brought him in and even told him what his service duty was. He approved, but as I shopped, 5 other crew members questioned me and continued to question me until I felt harassed and uncomfortable. I told them I would leave and they had no apologies, just a look like, "why are you here?" No need to complain, just felt unwelcome and won't be returning. I'm sure they'll be thrilled. I was just in here and something felt off. And I realized it's because (A) the store is efficient enough to shop in that I can find everything I need in just 10 or 15 minutes, (B) they have actual people out in the store who happily answer questions if I can't find something, and (C) I don't need to self-check because TJ's has actual people to check you out, with minimal lines, and the people are pleasant as well. Stock isn't as complete as one of the bigger stores, but Trader Joe's is a *much* more pleasant shopping experience. read more

I came here on Thursday night with my husband and he was looking for someone to help him find an item. Instead he was "asked to leave"!! He came in for a few items for me-his wife who is disabled. I often come here and receive mediocre help. Tonight though it was just the worst of the worst. Was my husband asked to leave because he is Asian? This is the Trader Joe's location up in the Hastings Ranch area. This is actually not the closest location to my house but typically the line isn't as long as the one in Pasadena on San Gabriel/Huntington. And unlike most Trader Joe's location the parking lot is huge and it is not nearly as intimidating as the other stores. This makes the experience a lot less stressful so that's a plus. All the offerings are all the same here too. The line to get in is great because it is shaded as you wait in line up the ramp. Some of the other locations have tarps and coverings now too but at a certain point you're exposed to the elements. Once you're about to enter, you get to the counter and a lovely team member than sanitize your hands and also gives you wet wipes to wipe down the carts or baskets that you are going to use. The store is very big and it's a sight to be seen. I love the variety of snacks that they have and there are always new offerings here and that I can't wait to try. Prices are reasonable and I always leave with a bunch of items. I always look forward to a shopping here as the team members are very friendly and and the food is great. read more

If they are out of something (i.e, blueberry and vanilla yogurt) its a supply chain issue not TJs. The employees always seem to be busy, and have great work ethic. Never left truly upset or disappointed, can't think of many places about which I'd say that! I can be rather picky about food and knowing what I seek in grocery. In addition to the San Gabriel Trader Joe's, this is the other location that we frequent often, even though there at least three other locations that are closer to home... 5 stars!!!!! Why go all the way to Hastings Ranch? The space in the aisles feels more than doubled when compared to the South Pasadena, Arroyo Parkway, and Lake locations! So much space to move around and browse for new food finds. Taking my time and looking for new food discoveries is what makes Trader Joe's such a neat place to shop since offers the chance to sample new foods without the need for a plane ticket! Moreover, the Hasting Ranch Trader Joe's is located in a huge shopping complex, so parking is never an issue. The parking lots at the South Pas and Arroyo locations are so tiny, and I don't really care for the maze-like parking structure at the Lake location. During COVID, Trader Joe's has definitely done a great job enforcing the use of masks, limiting the number of customers in the store to encourage proper safe distancing as well as making sure that carts are sanitized between customers. The service at trader Joe on Huntington and san Gabriel blvd is great! I like and go there almost weekly. The store is managed well. Food and groceries are well stock and FRESH! I like it it's sufficient for our family, enough choices for meat, veges, produce! Milk bread cheeses etc all are sufficient! The price is very good not as expensive as some supermarket! The service is most impressive! Manager and cashiers are quick, very helpful in responding to my questions every single time. They are friendly just super/helpful. I recommend this store. Like girl if you didn't want to bag them that bad then walk away and let me bag them, don't yank the cart, act all dramatic, and start aggressively putting groceries into the cart, you don't need to do all that. I love Trader Joe's and have been consistently coming to this location now. First of all, customer service is excellent in my personal experience. Every time I come here, the cashiers and employees were always helpful and incredibly friendly. This is Trader Joe's 'trademark' - their customer service. I also love many of their products which are delicious and simple, yet unique and not available in other big chain stores. Trader Joe's is simply a gem and have been throughout these years. That being said, I felt hesitant to write a negative review, but I feel that I need to in order for them to address this issue. Three times in a row now, I have bought their grapes and other fruit namely cut-up watermelon and cantaloupe. The grapes were extremely sour to the point of not being able to tolerate their sourness. So we ended up throwing them away. Their cut-up watermelon and cantaloupe, although they looked delicious and sweet from the outside container, were very HARD and inedible. It's as if they did not give them enough time to ripen to gain that quality sweetness that fruits need to have. We ended up throwing them away as well and wasting a ton of money each time I bought them. I think they need to reevaluate their quality control regarding these fruits. I don't think they should be sold at the stores when clearly they are inedible. People take them home and end up throwing them away. Who would tolerate eating these when in this condition? I can understand if they sell a frozen product and it's not to everyone's liking and taste, but to sell fruits that are intolerably sour or still unripe and hard is in fact an issue. It's a waste of money and disbelief in the quality of particular products on sale. read more

They are always fully staffed and I never have to wait in line. There is hardly a time where I try something new that's Trader Joe's brand that I don't like. A bit disappointed to leave this review considering everyone there is extremely nice, the store is spacious, they have a great variety compared to most others, and I am a normal shopper here. The reason I make this review is to warn consumers not to get the breakfast burritos unless you are willing to take risk. Twice now I have bought a sausage, potato, egg, burrito. They are really good. However, both times one of them was delicious (the day I got it) the second one was rancid even though it was before the best by date. Why? COOKED EGGS HAVE A SHELF LIFE OF 3 TO 4 DAYS. I wouldn't want anything to happen to this Trader Joe's because it is the best location. Someone needs to fix this before a consumer gets seriously ill from Salmonella and this location gets shut down. People will sue over bad perfume, selling expired burritos is a sitting duck. I hope the owner sees this and gets it fixed before anything happens. read more
