I gotta give it to Trader Joe's. Although I'm far from being a fan on 100 percent of any of their prepared foods. There are some items here that reign supreme. They got wild organic frozen blueberries which I LOVE, their organic fruits and veggies are priced perfectly. Portions are perfect for a few days before the next stock up. Also one of the main reasons why I'm writing this review is because their floral section, which is possibly if not the best. Beating all florists by pricing every inch of the way and selection. This has always been my go to for anytime I want to surprise my wife with flowers. The color selections are always in season. Also there isn't one bouquet I have made that my wife hasn't loved. Brownie points to Trader Joe's. Also let's not leave out the amazing conversations you get to have at every cash register. The employees are all well seasoned with the best attitudes. I don't think I have ever met anyone having a bad day here. Always glad to help and always thankful that you are a shopper. I mean why can't other businesses take notes? So on behalf of this praise towards Trader Joe's. Check out the fall haul of flowers I picked up this season for my beautiful wife! P.S. Speculoos ice cream is one of those where I say I don't care what's in it, I'm eating it!

Staff were friendly, we purchased some frozen items and some fruit. Grocery store is clean, well stocked, and plenty of new options to try.

I had a few questions about poinsettia and flagged down an employee foe help. It happened to be manager Julie. She was friendly, courteous, and provided me with excellent customer service. She informed me that I could always call and have them order the quantity I need. She also said that if they did not have enough poinsettias in stock at their store, they will be happy to arrange to have the poinsettia held for me at another Trader Joe location. Trader Joe is selling medium size poinsettia for only $6.99 each vs. $9.99 elsewhere. As always, great products and awesome prices at Trader Joe's. The store was busy as usual, but well stocked as they have employees constantly replenishing products on the shelves. Busy Sunday afternoon, but in spite of the crown, it was a pleasant experience to shop there. The store was clean, well maintained, and well stocked. The restroom was clean.

I was looking for a Trader Joe's (TJ) that I have never shopped at in the past. I found this one located on the north side of Pasadena. It's right next door to Stonefire Grill if you're curious. I love shopping at TJ. They have so many interesting food items in frozen and non-frozen form. I have my go-to staples that I usually buy from TJ. It never fails though... I usually end up getting more items than I originally planned LOL and that's okay. This TJ is a pretty standard size TJ. I've seen bigger and smaller ones. I specifically wanted to pick up some salsa and chips. I was here on a Tuesday night around 8:30 PM... 30 minutes prior to closing time and I saw a lot of TJ staff stocking up the shelves. While I was at the salsa aisle, I asked the young gentleman who was stocking up salsas at the time which salsa he would recommend. He was very kind to share his top picks. He also brought me to the fresh salsa section, too. I ended up getting both jarred (Salsa Autentica, Salsa Verde, Organic Salsa Chunky) and freshly packed (Guacasala, Extra Hot Habanero Ghost Salsa, Salsa Especial Medium, Salsa Especial Mild) salsas. When I went back to the salsa aisle where the chips were, there were two other gentleman and I asked them for their top picks on chips. I got two different recommendations which was fine. Everyone has different taste buds and that's okay. I ended up opening both bags of chips to give them a try and I liked them both so I got them both (Organic Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips, Truly Tortilla Chips). Hey, I work fast! LOL I also found out that TJ has a generous return policy... you can bring almost any item back to the store for a full refund, with or without a receipt. This includes food items you've opened and even eaten as well as nonedible products that didn't meet your expectations... now that's great business policy! Thank you all for your time and good recommendations/tips. I appreciate it. All the staff from stockers to cashiers are so very friendly and pleasant. That's what a great business should have... great staff, great service, and great items! Just GREAT! I would recommend this TJ location any day. And yes, I ended up picking up other food items beside salsa and chips... like I said, it never fails LOL. Btw, tons of parking available so no worries. I know there are some TJs that have very limited parking. You're in good space at this one. Thank you!

Always a pleasure to go shopping here. we wanted to replace the food we were eating at our nephews house. The crowds were low so shopping was quick. Found all the goodies on our list and then some. Shared parking lot.

They have unique choices like these rice florals

I don't shop at Trader Joe's as much as I would like but this specific location had a very spacious parking lot which is a plus to me! I only came for florals and they had a good variety. However, they didn't have eucalyptus that day so I was a little disappointed but it is the holidays so I don't blame them. The florals were fresh, cheap, and the cash wrap people were extremely friendly! It was extremely busy but the workers were still friendly, the lady who assisted me offered me a wine box to hold all my flowers which was quite shocking to me bc I'm used to scramble all the small bouquet in my arms all the way to my car. These little things I usually appreciate so thank you!

    Bread Lounge from DTLA =)

*** FOOD ALERT *** Bread Lounge has shipments to this location!!! Yes, it is Bread Lounge from DTLA. They have a variety of breads including my favorite olive bread!! Others were multigrain, country white, fruit and nut. For those of you who don't know, many of the cafes serving sandwiches around that you love also get shipments of bread from them. I'm hoping this will not be just a seasonal thing...

Why does this location not have an express lane like the ones on the west side?

#2. I worked at this store. All the crew members hate working at the mobile register for a number of reasons. It is inefficient, it is too small to handle large orders, it is shorter than the normal registers so you leave with lower back pain, there…

But the elderly can't do that so it's why the lines are so long. Now here is the kicker. At the end of the checking line is a manager ...sometimes 2. A man and a woman. They are observing the long lines...counting something...just observing. It would help if THEY just go to the end of a long line and start bagging! See, that would be cool! You see you guys have not scheduled any baggers and the lines are so long they are down the aisles .. and you are just standing there? Of course they may say, well that's not my job. But that's the mentality that keeps things moving slow. It would be so nice if people just did what it takes to keep things moving. Either hire enough people OR get in there and start bagging! I remember back in the days there was a bagger at the end of each checkout aisle. A bagger and a casher! Those days are gone ...and most stores now see if they can get away with overworking the checker! Next thing you know they install self check outs! Rather than hire people and keep a system of people working they just get rid of people and have 1 person observing (like these managers were doing). What a world we are moving towards. But anyways that's what you see. I wish they would just hire bag boys and go back to the good ol days.

I do feel that the ambiance offers something very different than other markets as the store is usually decorated and generally feels clean, although it used to feel cleaner in the past prior to 2020. Always love visiting here from time to time, especially to get some sake. The size of this Tokyo Central is also a bit bigger than most others, but I do feel like other TC's are more modern and cleaner than this one, but you still can't go wrong here. Edit: I went today because I was in the area and the store feels much cleaner and they added a brand new sushi bar with a chef where the old anime stuff used to be. This place is mostly famous for their Turon. Just the right amount of crunch to sweetness ratio. I especially love that they have catering trays for everything you would want to bring to a filipino party. You can order their Turon in orders of 5 or more which gives you plenty of options if you want people to share. The pieces are pretty long so my tip would be to cut them in half to feed more mouths. Last time I went I got their lumpia and pancit bihon. My goodness!! Delicious and so fresh. The noodles I ate for days even after the party but everyone enjoyed it. I like the thin and thick noodles so happy they offered more than just the traditional pancit. Plenty of lumpia sauce was given and was thankful they hooked it up. The team at Chaaaste is phenomenal!! Honestly everyone is so friendly and kind. They always ask me about my day and curious where I'm going with all their delicious food. So family oriented and you could tell they put a lot of love into their food. I especially love seeing the Lola's and Aunties behind the counter at the register. So sweet! They have a small parking lot but I never had issues parking. There are always spots open. It's in a small plaza, but they offer everything you could need filipino. There's even a convenience store and some steam table staples available throughout the day. Their longanisa is fire and can't go wrong with anything they have hot and fresh.
