I've tried a few of their mousse cakes and Portuguese tarts, and everything has been delicious. Those adorable fluffy animal cakes might look too cute to eat, but trust me, they're totally crave-worthy! As someone who loves anything chocolate or mango, I know I'll be coming back often. A fun treat to try: freeze-dried mousse cake bites. They'd make an awesome ice cream topping! Highly recommend stopping by if you have a sweet tooth.

Such cute pastries and yummy, unique egg tarts!…read more Had a foodie day along main st, and stumbled into this shop. Aesthetic is so cute. Egg tarts on the wall, cute videos rolling and the bathroom painting made me lol. The pastry display was amazing. So many unique options, with the cutest designs. We got one of each egg tarts and a couple character mouses. Egg tarts were great. Favorite was the caramelized one, since the crust was flaky and the filling was like creme brulee without being too sweet. The coconut egg tart wasn't giving egg tart, but it was amazing. Least favorite was the original, since it was a tad overdone and giving scrambled egg. We then got the capybara and garlic bird mouses. I'm not an orange chocolate fan, so the capybara was more cuteness than taste for me, but the bird was great. Staff were helpful and efficient. I'd come back!

They had a selection of cookies and freshly baked loaves, including banana bread, blueberry cornbread and carrot cake, all of which looked incredibly appetizing. The matcha cinnamon roll had a great balance of cinnamon and matcha that worked surprisingly well together. It's one of those pastries that's worth making a trip to Pasadena for. I will definitely be back and I'm looking forward to working my way through the rest of the pastry case.

I have been wanting to try this place for months and I finally got to give it a try last Thursday…read more I went around 11 and found parking with no line. I was speechless. I thought it was the perfect day! I got the classic cinnamon roll and cookies(smores, toffee chocolate chip, chocolate chip, brown sugar, red velvet, peanut butter, and cornbread) The classic cinnamon roll was light and not too sweet. It wasn't anything spectacular. The cookies all were soft and had crispy edges which I love. The flavors were a little lacking. You had to really no what the cookies are to taste the flavors. The cookies weren't too sweet but wish there was a strong flavor in all of them. The peanut butter one was a bit stronger so the ones that were next to it all got a bit of the peanut butter taste too. If there is no line then I might try again but don't think I would wait for it.

We bought an elote, tortuga and can't recall the third piece of pan, and alfajores. The elote was delicious, I love that you can see little specs of cinnamon, soft and tender and vanilla scent. The tortuga was a bit more spongy, fragrant, and nice balanced of sweetness. The alfajores were buttery, crisp and smeared with dulce de leche. I needed a bday cake and decided to order the strawberry shortcake, because it looked so pretty. The cake was a hit with the family. The frosting was super light, the filling is one layer of custard and the other of light whipped cream and berries. The sponge is moist, the cake is not sweet, but decadent in its creamy texture. The inside of the store is aesthetically appealing, traditional glass cases showcase the pan. I'm so glad to have a nearby bakery and cake shop!

While I am very…read morehappy about this (I love Cafe de Olla in Monrovia), getting coffee and a pastry post-workout might very well become my routine if I don't exercise enough self-control! Like some of the reviews already mentioned, this location is more of a "grab and go" type of place. They have a solid selection of cakes, pastries, and drinks. If you are looking for their full breakfast menu, the Monrovia location down the street is where you would want to go! When I visited, they were celebrating their 1-year anniversary with an outside table of samplers. They had a balloon arch outside to signal to the community that they are celebrating something special as well. The lady out front shared with me what they had to offer, and she also mentioned that they do catering! I like my coffee strong but also on the sweet side. When I asked for the stronger option, I was recommended to get the cappucino rather than the latte and they can make the caffeine a little bit more concentrated without sacrificing the flavor. The cookies were a little dry for my taste but maybe it was because the samplers were sitting outside for a little too long. I would go back just to try the breakfast sandwich, but the experience of grabbing food was pretty fast and the food was flavorful enough! Excited to have a closer Cafe de Olla to me and wishing them so much success!

The house made sandwiches (focaccia), breakfasts and lunch items are very good to excellent also and with great prices. With about 15 tables (a couple of tables for larger groups), there's a steady stream of people here and it would be a matter of time when lines will form out the door. Service is super attentive. The minute you come in the person behind the counter comes to assist. Ohhh almost forgot, savory pastries (caprese and artichoke and cheese) are super well-made and the crusts delightfully light and crispy :-) I keep coming back. End of Yelp.

We've seen all the viral fruit pastries online, and were so excited to try them. When we got in, we were able to see all of the options on display and they had a big menu telling you exactly what was in each one. You order off of a kiosk, which makes it incredibly easy to order. Almost all of our pastries were ready before we had even left the kiosk, which was great! I went with the mango and the peach, both of which were fantastic! The shortbread cookie underneath both was delicious, the mango mousse and filling tasted so fresh and amazing. The peach had an Earl Grey cream and fresh peach chunks as well. Both were in the classic white chocolate shell. These are so cute, fun to eat, very refreshing, and not overly sweet. The shop itself is adorable, plenty of seating, great decor and the staff was super friendly and very nice!
