I went to the Pasadena See's in Hastings Ranch on Mother's Day (of all days). I am a regular there. The young man that helped me was great. I forgot his name, so I went back on the Tuesday after Mother's Day to ask his name, he deserved to be mentioned by name in my review. It was Darrell, the store was crazy busy as expected. While waiting for my turn I couldn't help but notice his smiling, helpful approach to all customers. As luck would have it, when it was my turn Darrell greeted me with his infectious smile, asking how he could help me. As busy as the store was, he demonstrated patience and made me feel like I was the only one in the store. He was very knowledgeable about the candy and offered his expertise in assisting me with my selections. He is helpful, knowledgeable but most importantly a customer focused advocate for See's. I'm not sure what's going on here, but the atmosphere in this See's has changed considerably! The people are cold and there's often no samples offered! The manager, Frances used to be a kind and friendly woman, but she's become just plain rude and extremely unprofessional in the way she treats and talks to people! I guess attitude reflects leadership! This used to be the only See's I came to, but never again! What was once a fun and pleasant experience...going into the candy store and selecting your favorites no longer applies to this particular location! The employees seem almost robotic and like they'd rather be anywhere else, but there! All the friendly and familiar faces who knew your favorite sample are no longer there! I don't know what's happened here, but it's pretty awful! Would not recommend coming to this location!! read more

I came here to buy some chocolates for two of my aunts as presents. They are so friendly here! When I walked in , the first thing the sales person did was give me a sample.. The truffle she gave me was SOOOO good! I ended up buying two boxes, one for each aunt. When I asked to gift wrap, they did it for me no problem, as well. Great experience. :) read more

Their chocolate coating just tastes like chocolate. Not like Godiva where it has hazelnut mixed in. I like hazelnut, and I'ma let them finish, but Mrs. See's Candy makes the best chocolate of all TIME. They even give you samples while you're picking out candy! They don't mind if you fit in a bunch of random flavors and they'll let you sample extra items within reason. They even gift wrap! I love this location and I definitely want to go back. read more

I can never get enough See's, it's my favorite candy shop. My aunt had a gift card for a pound of candy that she had had since Christmas. We decided after a filling lunch, the best idea was to go get a pound of candy and that's exactly what we did. This location was absolutely packed around noon on a Friday. I guess we forgot that Father's Day was on Sunday, so people were stocking up. The staff is incredibly friendly and even offered us a sample of candies we actually like instead of trying to push one particular flavor. Big plus in my book. This is an incredibly small store and doesn't seem to have as much of the variety and volume that most See's have. All in all, a great little store if you're in the area and crazing some chocolate. I'm partial to the Almond Royales and Lemon Truffles, but that's just me. read more

This is the best See's store around. The store is so clean and the heavenly scent of chocolate is the first thing you notice upon entering. I come here often to get my fix. Francis, the store manager, is the epitome of great leadership and customer service. She really knows her product and and takes the time to help guide the customer through the See's experience. I would like to say first off....See's truly is excellent quality chocolate and its like nowhere else.....Second....i would like you to know that although chocolate is food, and therefore will go bad eventually, you can and SHOULD buy your chocolate atleast a week or two before the holidays. I always had customers say that they can tell when it is fresh or not......no they cant. I have tried their taste buds many many times. The truth is all the chocolate there is extremely fresh and the shelf life is about a month.....so......when you buy a box the day before valentines or thanksgiving....it has most likely been in our store for a while.....so save the hastle and frustration....avoid the crowd and prepare. good luck. by the way.....if you pack more than 4 boxes....the girls deserve a tip. they work their butts off trying to puzzle chocolate into a tiny box. and they spend hours learning to gift wrap just right! read more

Love love love see's candies. Came here to return a box of See's candy that I bought from the SF airport. At the airport, it was $24. At See's stores it is $16.90. Therefore, she only agreed to credit me back $17 which was understandable because the airport is a rip off. I just decided to not return it and try returning it back in the airport, and I did successfully. I love how they always give you free SAMPLES..even when I was just going in to return that chocolate. See's is probably my favorite chocolate of any chocolate, ever. It's not too rich but tastes divine. My favorites are: - Bordeaux (dark and milk) - Lemon truffle - Raspberry truffle - Buttercream - Peanut brittle - Peanut butter pattie - White chocolate If you're going to buy a pound of chocolate (or more), buy the gift certificates from Costco and you get a pound for only $13! read more

I was at this small store at around 5:30pm (they close at 6pm at this particular location.) I walked in there were three other customers, all got greeted and offered a sample, and I was the only Asian customer in the store and I got no greeting nor sample. Two more non Asian customers walked in after me, both got greeted and was offered samples. I purchased 25 boxes of chocolate and spent over $250, when others only bought a few pieces of candies, and still I was not offered any sample or received friendly greeting. Not coming back to this racist store ever again, I didn't know discrimination still exist in this part of the town. read more

Stopped in on my lunch to purchase two bags of foil wrapped milk chocolate footballs for Super Bowl Sunday. They were sold out but Angel nicely called the SoPas location, which had them. Needed to pick up on Saturday because I work 7am-6pm Monday-Friday. SoPas said they wouldn't hold them beyond today at 6pm. FRANCES from the this store stepped up and called SoPas back asking the staff there to honor this request. Frances thEn apologized to me for me having to hear this discourse. It sound too good to be true. Think about it. You walk in the door, and before anyone knows how much you are going to buy, a yummy piece of candy is offered to you. FREE. That's service! They don't need to do that, it is the best candy in the world. But they do, and that makes them five-star-special. I have visitors from out the state who have to make See's one of the first stops when they come to town. Do you realize how lucky we are to live in a See's Candy State? Here is a tip for the cost conscious: Go the day after any holiday and the holiday packaged stuff is 50% off. Does it really matter if your Peanut Butter Patty or Bordeaux is shaped like an egg? When I was a kid, I loved coming into See's Store closest to my house and getting those free samples! I also loved getting their peanut butter pops! YUM! I went to this See's location recently only to find that the lady (there were two of them) working the counter was not as friendly as past ones I have encountered. I still got my candy sample, Cashew Crunch (or Cashew Brittle..?), my new favorite.. I still LOVE the Almond Square (Also my mom's fave). My sister loves the Chelsea, too soft for my taste. Overall, this See's location had everything that they all have, wide selection, just not the friendliness I'm used to. It's located in an outdoor plaza in an area that has lots of shopping, restaurants, and markets so ample parking as well. I bought a bunch of the assorted half pound boxes to give out to some of my Boston peeps, it's sad they don't know how awesome See's is... until I give it to them! A nice visual effect was the Rolls Royce parked right outside the store... Huge car, my BF couldn't stop gawking at it. It was pretty sweet though! read more

This See's location is awful! The worst customer service I have ever received at a See's candy!! Customers are not greeted! The people working here look miserable and like they hate their jobs! I was offered a sample which contained nuts and when I explained that I can't have nuts and asked for a different sample, the girl helping me, I believe her name was Erin rolled her eyes and gave me something else instead of asking me what I would like! I was flabbergasted that this little brat rolled her eyes over a piece of candy!! I got what I came in for and left, but she was very inpatient and unfriendly! The store was not at all busy, so I don't quite understand what her problem was! If this is a reflection of how this See's is managed and how the employees are allowed to treat customers, then that is a shame. i love See's candies i have been a long time customer and fan since 1982.. I've had my daughter teach me the true art of chocolate when she got a seasonal job there which really taught me not to gobble down the candies like before! Now i actually chew them slowly and enjoy every bite so i can truly taste every ingredient that See's uses on each of their candies. I'm a lifelong See's Candies fan, and I really enjoy this See's location. I would come by today if I could! One time I came in and got a bunch of chocolate. By the time I got home to San Gabriel, I realized that I'd gotten some random dark chocolate nougat instead of the key lime truffles I'd requested. I couldn't drive back that day, and ended up not being able to come back for another couple days. When I came in, the associate gave me what I'd actually paid for plus extra, and she was really helpful. I've been in since then, and will definitely be back yet again very soon, especially since it's finally pecan pie truffle season again. Thank you!! read more

This is a review for the service, not the candy. I went into the Foothilll location and there was the rudest worker there (glasses, red hair). If she's there, leave and go back later, or go to the See's in the Santa Anita mall. She didn't ask if we wanted a sample even after saying we wanted to purchase a box of candy and was very reluctant to give us a sample. She was condescending when we asked for one piece of different candies to be added to our box (but isn't that why you pick your own box?), then when she saw we were using a certificate to pay, she took out 7 pieces of candy saying that we were over the pound! Really?? I've never seen such a horrible attitude at any See's. Why is she even working there? I'm going to the mall from now on. read more

This store is just so friendly and I will only go to this location from now on. Today I was getting chocolate for Valentine's day and I was greeted by all employees. I wish I got the lady's name who helped me box my chocolate. I've never had such astounding service before. She was so patient with me and not pushy at all. She wanted me to try something out of the box and gave me a sample of something I would usually look over and just stick to my regulars. And in the end, I ended up getting it in my 1/2lb boz of chocolate. Thank you for the suggestion! I appreciated every minute of her. I am a regular See's Candies customer (have been for a few years) and I had to write a review after the amazing customer service I received! I had just come from the See's at the Westfield Mall because the Butterscotch Square they gave me was so small. It was all they had, which I understand is NOT their fault. So, I decided to come to this location and when I walked in, I asked for the biggest Butterscotch Square. Frances and Veronica were SUPER SWEET! Frances and Veronica looked at their box of Butterscotch Squares and gave me a good, big size as a sample. Then they showed me the box of Butterscotch Squares and I saw they were all big and decided to get a half pound box. Veronica let me look at the box and let me pick out the specific pieces I wanted (which is an annoying request, I know). I thanked them and Frances said something along the lines of, "Of course. Anything you need, just ask." Talk about going above and beyond for the customer! You can bet when I go back, it's because I want their help!
