Leonora have THE artistic eye for the most beautiful fall foliage. I would say that the florals were the highlight of my wedding, and I still smile looking through photos of all the beautiful flowers from my special day. While I am not well-versed in flowers and plants, Lorie still knew exactly what we wanted each meeting and was able to bring the appropriate vase and plant/flower examples. I think after the second meeting, I decided to "trust the artist and trust the process" and let her exercise her vision within our budget - she definitely delivered above and beyond! When I saw my bouquet and florals, I literally gasped in joy because I loved them so much! Charming cute little shop in the middle of Kersting Court in Sierra Madre. It was a tad busy when I stopped in, but I couldn't resist the cutest Easter decorations in the windows. This is a nice flower shop, they sell cards, gifts- home decor, jewelry type, a bit of everything. I share my distressing experience to spare others from going through something similar. After being an admirer of this shop for several years, I picked up a bouquet here and was shocked to find several flowers already wilted and three with broken stems. When I asked if they could replace the damaged flowers, I was met with abrupt hostility and vulgar language. Lorie, the owner, told me I was wrong and insisted these were "the freshest flowers in town." She went further, saying I should shop elsewhere because my budget didn't allow for a better bouquet -- incredibly rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, she refused to let me leave with the bouquet I had already paid for, saying I "didn't deserve it" and that I "shouldn't tell a business owner how to do her job," when all I did was request fresher-looking flowers. The employees sat by in silence which led me to suspect was not the first time something like this had happened. Lorie continued yelling and talking over me until I had no choice but to leave the store mid-conversation. This was an awful, humiliating experience, and I will definitely never return. read more

What a dream of a little shop! The kind that sells little things that bring you joy. I asked for a $50 bouquet with a mix of wildflowers. I wasn't too specific. I have been regularly ordering flowers online during COVID (because if I'm not leaving the house, might as well look at something nice). Cute shop HOWEVER they think pepper spray is safe ? Do not allow your children or pets to touch the outside of the building as it is sprayed frequently with pepper spray. I found this shop through a friend's recommendation. I never would have found it otherwise (despite working only a few blocks away) because it is so hidden, but quite a gem! Everything in the storefront is adorable, a great place to get cute birthday gifts for friends and family! We used them for our October wedding. Lori was amazing to work with! We walked in with very few ideas for our wedding flowers. She helped us figure out exactly what we wanted, showed us examples, and talked us through all the different price options. We used Leonora Moss for my mom's memorial service at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and they were fantastic. Leonora Moss was my mom's favorite florist for years -- their unique, beautiful, custom arrangements suited my mom's creative spirit perfectly. She would bring them a pattern on a napkin to use as inspiration for her centerpieces, and they always stole the show at dinner. When my mom passed away, we knew exactly who we wanted to provide the flowers for her service. Again, we provided our inspiration (bright colors, dramatic flowing arrangements, etc). Of course, Lorie and team knew my mom, so we were certain her personality would be captured. Lorie also worked with Hollywood Forever Cemetery, asking for photos of the altar to gage size/proportion. She was very thorough! The flowers arrived right on time, an hour before the service, and were just GORGEOUS! Guests were taking time to closely enjoy the arrangements while waiting for the service to start, and we received many compliments. I HIGHLY recommend Lorie and Leonora Moss for any event. I really want to love this store but every time I buy flower arrangements at Lenora Moss I'm disappointed. Today I bought an arrangement for a friend's birthday and the first thing she said was "did you make this for me." I have the opposite of a green thumb which extends into my inability to arrange flowers so was mortified to say the least. When I said, no I got them at Lenora Moss I could see the shock in her eyes. I will disclose I only spent $50 but seriously I get gorgeous arrangements from the Enchanted Florist in Burbank for $50 and the Flower Mart in Temple City so I was expecting a little better than what I got. If this was Jacob Maarse I would totally expect to spend $100 but then I know it would be amazing. They've actually done amazing arrangements for $50 but I didn't have time to drive there. If the quality was the only thing I'd be like ok, maybe this place is just expensive but the service isn't great either. I always feel like I'm putting them out. This isn't my first bad experience. I've tried over the years but this just isn't the store for me. read more

I recommend ordering floral from Leonora Moss.  I've not been to the store so I can't speak to that side of their business. Because I really want to try and support local I did some research and found Leonora Moss in Sierra Madre which wasn't too far from the delivery address I needed in Azusa. They were very efficient on the phone and for a little over $100 with delivery fees they put together a nice arrangement for my friend who is home recovering from surgery.  I was impressed that they made a point to tell me the specific day they attend the flower market and suggested I allow them to shop the market first and send the arrangement from that newest assortment they brought in.  My only advice would be, if you want a very unique arrangement with mostly unusual flowers, which they can do based on photos I have seen, tell them you would be fine if the arrangement was smaller in order to allow them (cost wise) to do something a little beyond the normal floral favorites.  P.S. If you can afford to, when paying the bill with your credit card, don't forget to have them include a tip for the driver on the final charge. People are really trying to do their best during these difficult times and it's nice to be nice!  Update:  Apparently the Owner delivered the flowers himself--according to my friend who received them.  So he got the tip.  LOL read more

Spring 2013 I wish I could rate this florist more highly; I definitely like to support local, family-owned establishments. But... I ordered flowers for delivery, making it clear that I wanted a definite "wow factor." I was careful to ask if I was spending enough to get that effect (approx $80) and I was assured that I was. The upshot? No wow. When I saw the arrangement, I was disappointed and the recipient was appreciative, but not beaming. I wasn't happy and I won't be back. Suggestion: If you're a bride, you may want to give them a chance; I happen to know several brides who had LM do their flowers and they were very happy. My experience may have been an off day or maybe weddings are their specialty and they don't really "do" one-of arrangements. read more

These flowers were beautiful and it was really easy to get an order in a short notice. However, there were a few things that make me question ordering from here again. When giving it to my girlfriend, the first thing she questioned was if there were any flower food, which there was none. She then explained her disappointment saying that the majority of bouquets come with flower food. Why spend time and effort on a bouquet if it won't even last? That issue could be easily resolvable, however, having her call me 8 separate times due to finding caterpillars in her room is an issue. There has never been any problems with caterpillars in her house and she has seen the caterpillars fall out from the bouquet. This complication has never occurred to either of us before and is really disappointing as they are eating the bouquet. Again, not sure if buying from here is worth it if the bouquet doesn't last. read more

Since I have less of a need for flowers but more for gifts I frequent the store often. She always carries creative and artistic gifts. Recently, I went in and she had these small paintings of cats that were super. I will fine out the artist's name and give her credit. It's a beautiful store as so may are in Los Angeles and it's pretty little burbs. Sierra Madre has always been a delight with its Mayberry feel and little shops and restaurants. I have spent a good amount at this store but what always ruins the experience for me is not being greeted and even when paying for my good being made to feel like the shop keeper cannot wait to see me leave. Last night was no different, however while I waited to meet my husband for dinner I stopped in and was only watched to make sure I didn't slip anything into my Gucci bag but no greeting. A lady dressed in some threadbare gardening duds walked in a few minutes later and she was greeted enthusiastically. I get that it's a florist and maybe boutique owning is secondary but there are too many places to shop that greet me and my wallet with joy. Like Charlie's House in Monrovia- always a greeting and pleasantries while I pay for my purchases. So bye Felicia. As other reviewers mentioned, Lorie really "gets it" and if you don't know what that means, then either you have not started looking for a florist or you just want to pick something out of the FTD catalog and be done with it. I don't live in California, so when I wanted to send a friend flowers for her wedding I did a search on Google maps and this is how I found Leonora Moss. The Lady on the phone was extremely helpful and super friendly despite the fact that at first I could not find my credit card and that I was also missing my friend's phone number, while I looked for my card she asked me if I mind being on hold while she was helping a customer, she was very patient but she was the one thanking me for my patience ! The only downside is that I wanted a lot of the same flowers (white roses) and they did not keep that many but she gave me a couple of suggestions always asking if the price was okay with me first. The price was very reasonable, the delivery was on time, my friend was very pleased by the beautiful bouquet, The work she did definitely exceeded my expectations! Thank You so much ! read more
