The delivery time came, and I hadn't realized that getting into the front yard where the flowers were going to get delivered would be difficult. I saw a missed call and a voicemail and immediately panicked because it had been 30 minutes since the call. I planned my wedding in 4 weeks during COVID. I didn't care for a lot of the frills included in a traditional wedding, but I knew I wanted an amazing bouquet. I mean, when will I ever have a chance to parade around holding flowers all day without being judged? A friend recommended MDS Florist to me and I am forever grateful. I emailed over a photo of a bouquet from my wedding mood board and asked Jean to design a bouquet with a similar vibe (asymmetrical, whimsical and needed to have fluffy pampas grass). I ended up having to make last-minute request two weeks before pickup to have no white flowers (due to my future MIL being superstitious), add 6 additional boutonnieres and add matching cut flowers for my small cake. Even with these last-minute curveballs, Jean 100% delivered. I received a quote quickly and was able to pay electronically, which was so essential during COVID-19 times. My bouquet and boutonnieres were stunning! I seriously cannot get over how perfect they were. My bouquet was huge and looked great in person and in photographs. Since I requested pampas grass in my bouquet, Jean even included mini pampas in the boutonnieres. So cute! I really feel that Jean designed my dream bouquet, if not better. After not receiving the product I called MDS to ask what happened, and the initial lady had no idea, asked me to send over a screen shot. I was asked to send the screen shot to a private cell phone, so now someone has my number. I get a text back saying it's being escalated to the store owner/manager, great getting somewhere. Then I get a call back explaining the payment cash flow goes from Yelp to Bloom Nation than to MDS, and it gets registered on the "dashboard", and then a flower is made, and gets delivered. Great, I know how the store works. I explained at the end of the day, I still didn't get a product, and my money is gone, and the celebration of my wife's birthday was flowerless. When I explained to the owner I felt as a customer it's not my job to understand a payment process, my experience is still, no flowers, money gone, celebration ruined. I felt like no one helped me. His explanation was, he did help me by explaining the process to me and that it wasn't the store's "fault" where a transaction wasn't completed. I explained the payment process is affecting the business, because the customer still had money taken away, no flowers, and a ruined special day. No response after that, so I just called the bank to dispute the transaction. As a manager myself, a good customer experience should've been "let me send out flowers now, asap, and let us figure out the transaction for you, let's give you a discount given the negative experience" and you would earn a repeat customer, but instead I got the experience above. I called mid afternoon to have an ordered placed and delivered to a hospital and they were able to accommodate this request, yes even on a Sunday! I know right, most Florist are closed on Sundays let alone do a delivery. My children's beautiful grandmother had surgery so we wanted to send a warm get well for her since we were not able to visit because of their ages. (5 years old &9 months). Beautiful flowers. Each rose is so complex and perfect. The simple tulips and the other flowers complement the dark red roses (I love how the tulips are pink and the hydrangeas have a touch of pink and there are also some pure white flowers). I also like the little eucalyptus. I often take apart arrangements when I get flowers because I find large groups of flowers too overwhelming, but I don't want to separate the flowers here. My partner said he asked for these flowers only on Friday, to be delivered Sunday, and made quite a few requests, which were all fulfilled. It has a lot of meaning for us. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. The flowers we got, some of them were almost dead. Although they replaced the dead ones. There was no apology for the bad experience. It is very expensive. Add to the price quoted, taxes and delivery fees, you will end up with almost 25% extra. So simple math, I spent about $10/flower. If you subtract the dead one, it is about $15/flower. Go to Baja Market few blocks away, you will get the same size flowers for $19.99 and they will stay fresh more than seven days. By the way, the flowers were not exposed too heating,....etc. Add to that, the vase was very cheap one..... We took the dead one to your store and the new one died the following day. We change the water everyday and they are not exposed to any heating. Their response was that they are not going to use these type of flowers in my next order!!!!!!!????? read more

This was my first and last time ordering flowers from here. I ordered the "Passionate Purple" bouquet for my friends birthday today. Looking at the name now, I suppose I should have known what I was getting into, however, the photo of this arrangement was red and pink with no hints of purple at all. What was advertised in the photo (the main thing that people look at when ordering flowers) was completely misleading and I ended up sending my friend a bouquet of purple flowers that were completely opposite from her taste. I'm not someone who is usually uptight about these things, but I figured I would reach out to express my disappointment and see if I could be refunded since the bouquet is not what I thought I was getting. That's where the worst of my experience was played out. The man I spoke with, Steve, tried explaining to me that every flower is different and sometimes the colors turn out differently than the photo. I get this. However, the colors were so drastically different there is no way they are the same as advertised. I would understand if a red flower turned out a bit pink, but red to purple is quite an extreme. He let me know that the description said they were going to be pink, purple, and lavender flowers. The description, however, is so far down the page on the phone app you would never even see it and on the website itself it even requires you to scroll. If what is mainly displayed to you is the photo, you would assume that customers would base their expectations off of that rather than the description featured with the fine print at the bottom. Steve let me know they don't do refunds and there is nothing they could do about it. I let him know we won't be doing business again with them. Coming from someone who works in Customer Success, this was a poor customer experience and that in itself was enough to take my business elsewhere. read more
