I love supporting small businesses, which is why I chose this place. I hate to complain, but unfortunately, my experience here was very unpleasant. I ordered a corsage, and she gave us a hard time about placing the order the same day. She then asked us to come back in an hour to pick it up. When we returned an hour later, she saw us and only then started making the corsage--and she was using a completely different color of flowers than what we had requested. We ended up having to wait another 15 minutes. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I really wanted to support a small business, but unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression. I would not return. read more

Picked up a bouquet for a graduation. My first time here. I went to go pick up the bouquet and he gave me a different species of sunflower than my request and told me that these last longer. The bouquet was so disappointing . He offered to remake them , but I didn't have time. The flowers didn't look fresh at all as if they were sitting there for a week in the store. The arrangement looked like it was bunch of flowers picked from the garden and wrapped up. They didn't even provide the flower food packet. Better to have gone to Pavilion's market down the street for the freshness and their wrapping service. It also happened that for the budget I gave him he should've been honest that my bouquet could've been made with lesser budget. I saw a very similar bouquet at Pavilions for half of the price. Don't expect quality and freshness from this place. The owner talks the good talk, but the quality and the wrapping service was very very disappointing. read more

Gorgeous flowers for a reasonable price. I stopped by here to pick up flowers to give to my sister in law to bring to the hospital since she just gave birth. I was looking for purple flowers without lilies and the lady was going to make a custom bouquet for me. I saw one of the premade bouquets that has majority of purples so I opted for that instead and to my surprise it was $40 which was a steal. So unreliable and messed up my plans. Ordered a custom bouquet a week ago in person & confirmed the pick up time for 9am Sunday many times. They confirmed with me they open at 9am and will make the bouquet when we get there. Yesterday, Saturday evening, they even call us to confirm my pick up time. I contacted Alexa's Flowers to purchase a flower spray to have up at the alter during the service. When I called the flower shop I was really hesitate since I have heard horror stories when ordering flowers, the flowers never look like the picture or what you thought you ordered. The lady I talked to over the phone assured me the flower spray would be beautiful and not to worry, she would take care of me. This was my first visit to Alexa's Flowers. A friend highly recommended them and they are literally just down the street (2.7 miles) from me. I was in search of a lei for my son's graduation. I had called Von's and Costco and both told me they wouldn't be getting in flower lei's until the end of the month. I called the morning of the graduation and Angelica told me they had them in stock! They had several to choose from, and since my son was graduating from USC, I was happy to hear they had a yellow and red orchid lei. They held it for me and allowed me to have my friend pick it up for me. Yelp, you let me down this time. So many great reviews, but I have to just say pretty mediocre overall for me at Alexa's. I wanted to surprise my partner with some flowers because he was having a bad day. He was having one of those "stuck in traffic on the 210 freeway days" that start you off on the wrong foot and make you sour and bitter for hours later. I didn't want him to feel bad so I called Alexa's to see if they would send him some flowers to cheer him up. I was promised they would be delivered in roughly two hours, but they weren't. They took 3 1/2 hours to deliver the flowers and he had already left work. If you're not able to do what you promised, you should tell me so I can call someone else who can. Seems simple to me. For $50 plus another $14.70 for tax and delivery, the bouquet was pretty disappointing. It had a nice splash of color, but the arrangement wasn't a deal by any stretch. I called to find out what happened and I was given an apology because they were "busy." She even said she would give me a "big discount" in the future. Honestly, they can keep the discount; I won't order from here again. If they were actually concerned they should handle the issue now and not punt it into the future like kicking the can down the street. read more

Our favorite go-to local neighborhood florist! My boyfriend has been coming to Alexa's Flowers to gift me flowers since we've been together. He always gets me roses in my favorite color: lavender and they are always extremely fresh and last longer than grocery store flowers I regularly purchase. I also like that it is wrapped in a neutral brown kraft paper so the roses really pop when I receive them and its tied with a super cute ribbon too. The staff is also very helpful, nice and friendly. Joe, the owner, always makes sure we are 100% satisfied with the flowers we are purchasing before we leave. I asked that it be delivered the day before the service for the viewing, I arrived for the service and was somewhat appalled and embarrassed as to the quality of the wreath. it came with 7 stargazers, which were the main flowers. 5 were completely wilted and only 2 looked fresh. IIt's been an insanely cold and rainy winter, so it's not like the heat somehow killed it overnight. It was extremely disappointing. Alexa's Yelp statement says "we deliver all over, local, national, and international," but they are serving LOCAL ONLY now due to COVID. No extra delivery fee, no warning, just a order cancellation. The Lovingly website will process the order without any complaint, and even attach a shipping fee! But the lady from Alexa's will call you later and just turn down your business with a transaction reversal. They didn't even try to refer me to a regional independent florist in the recipient's area.
