Phyllis is an incredible florist! We had the pleasure of meeting and working with her through our wedding venue, Altadena Town & Country Club as a preferred vendor. We are so thankful for her because she helped bring our wedding to life. We had a certain image/idea in our minds and she was able to not only understand what we wanted, but she was able to make it look even more beautiful than we had imagined. We wanted a classic garden wedding and without her and her assistant's hardwork, our wedding would just not have been the same. From the first day we met Phyllis we knew we wanted to work with her because of her sweet and incredible personality. We also were able to see all the beautiful weddings she had done before. Phyllis and Amanda did a great job with our wedding. We hired Phyllis to provide day of coordinating services in addition to her helping Amanda with the flowers, and she did an amazing job as the wedding went off without a hitch (that we know of, which is fine by us!). We worked mostly with Amanda for the flowers (budget, style), and she created exactly what we wanted within the budget we requested (and Amanda helped Phyllis with some of the day of coordinating as well). They truly are a fabulous team, and fun to work with as well! Our wedding was 3 months ago, but the memories back to that day was still just yesterday. Everything was not perfect unless I had an awesome florist and together with other amazing vendors. Phyllis and Amanda are very responsible. I am now still very grateful for what Amanda, florist from Arcadia Floral design, has done for my wedding. She paid attention to details and very creative. She was also very patient and willing to work with my budget. She used my extra fabric which I got from my dress altered to decorate my bouquet and flower girl's basket, and they turned out so nice. From aisle, to arch, to center pieces, and sweetheart table, Amanda made everything so perfect. When re-purpose the arch, she was very creative also. Any left over flower from the arch, she let my team and helped them out to decorate my cake table. I totally satisfied with all Amanda did. Phyllis Hillier did an amazing job on the flowers for our daughter's wedding. She understood what look we were going for and then created it for the most beautiful arrangements and bouquets. I especially liked the table arrangements and the flower girl's crown. She provided a mock up for us a week before so we could see the centerpieces and then "tweaked" it to make it even more to our liking. I wish I could give negative stars. I wanted to send some flowers to my boss for thanking her for hiring me. I knew she loved white flowers so I ordered a bouquet in a vase from Arcadia Floral Design. When they arrived at my store managers office I was disgusted. The WHITE flowers had all turned brown around the edges. I couldn't believe it. It looked horrible. I emailed Arcadia Floral Design with pictures asking them how in the world they could send something that looked like that and no response. I called the next day to complain and yes, they sent my manager another smaller version of what I had originally ordered but it wasn't fresh either. What a waste of money. Don't bother coming here. Their flowers are obviously not the freshest and you don't want that sent to anyone important or at your big event. read more

Arcadia Floral Design did the flowers for my wedding at the LA Arboretum this fall. Amanda was truly wonderful. I was planning the wedding from out of state and Amanda took care of everything. I had to trust her completely since I couldn't come in person, but she was extremely professional and put me at ease. I sent pictures of things I liked and we mainly communicated by email. I felt that she understood what I wanted and went the extra mile. She made everything so incredibly easy. The flowers were beautiful! Even better than I was expecting! She did the flowers for the isle, small arrangements for the tables, and the centerpieces for the reception. We got so many compliments and several people asked who did our flowers. I asked her if we could use 2 of her baskets to hold the programs as well as 2 more for the flower girls, and she took it upon herself to add pretty flowers to the baskets-- she really went above and beyond.
