My eldest son needed a corsage for his date to the homecoming dance. This pastoral story, repeated generation after generation, is something of a right of passage; a time honored event, a connection between father and son. Alas, our world has gone and gotten itself in a big damn hurry... Everything's online, nothing in person, hell - even the toothpaste is locked up at the local drugstore. With that as prologue, finding a florist that was local and could pull off the job was harder than when I was a kid, and my local florist was on the corner just down the street from my house. Thankfully I found this little store in the heart of Arcadia, just about a mile from our home. The nice lady that answered the phone was the same nice lady who made the corsage, and the same lady who handed it to me in a little plastic box when I picked it up for my kid who was booked for corsage pick up and water polo game. Plus, your price was $15 cheaper than the only other place I found that was willing to attempt the job. Finding a value nowadays is also a welcome rarity. The boy is only a junior, so we probably have a few more of these. And really, now that he knows about this joint, it's going to be his job and responsibility. But with two other kids younger than he is, will probably be buying our fair share of these beautiful little trinkets as the years go by. I can only hope that Del Sol flowers in the neighborhood. I would say A+ for the arts and crafts of using flower if there were actual flowers on my order.... Instead I'm giving them an A+ for the amount of leaves they put into my Valentine's order. I'm seriously suprised I purchased more than $80 worth of leaves. You can view pictures I post to see how horrendous it was. Also the height of the flowers were 6 inches shorter and the width was 3.5 inches less than the description provided. Pure scam, you're better off buying a random vase on Amazon, picking up 6x $10 flowers from Ralph's, randomly tossing into a vase and it'll look 100x better than what was given to me. With not only one call, but TWO phone calls, Olga called recipient to return the withered flowers and questioned her motive and it wasn't even her order to begin with. When I called in to your store to ask her to contact me instead, Olga was defensive and unfriendly. Also, I'm not happy with the quality of your service AND product. Instead of talking to their customer and letting them know the difference between an arrangement appropriate for the families home and an arrangement that should go to a "Mortuary/ Cemetery". The widow received this so called arrangement in a paper mache' container at her home with the attached card that had a child write on and staple the message to the inside of the card. So unprofessional and inappropriate in such a sad time in someone's life. Some florist need to be educated how to handle a sympathy situation. Do not order from this unprofessional florist who just doesn't have the knowledge of what's appropriate for the occasion for flowers. Communicate with your customers, listen to their story why they are sending flowers and suggest an arrangement suitable for the occasion. I had THE MOST BEAUTIFUL floral arrangement delivered to me in the hospital after some emergency surgery. It is 6 days later and the roses are still gorgeous. The last beautiful deep pink / white lily opened this morning. NEVER have I had flowers last so long. I used Del Sol for my wedding. For the most part they did a great job- they were very accommodating and willing to help work within my budget. In fact some of the flowers from my wedding are up on their website. They were beautiful! Here is what went wrong- during one of my consultations I brought in a picture of what I wanted and asked that the flower color be changed from orange to white for the corsages and boutonniere. Narcisso seemed a little distracted during our meeting and as I left the I even mentioned this to my Mom. The center pieces and main display pieces were beautiful just as I wanted however when I walked in and saw the Orange corsages and boutonnieres I was ticked!!! Luckily because we saw the mistake early they were able to go back to the studio and make the correction before the wedding started- which I appreciated!! Because they had done such a great job and been accommodating with my wedding I referred my sister to them for her wedding. My sisters experience with Del Sol was awful! They did all the hand bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres at my sisters wedding, they were to be hot pink. When the flowers were delivered they were all light pink- it was not anything close to what my sister had discussed during her consultation. When the flowers arrived and we saw the mistake we called the shop to let them know our disappointment- they sent one of the florist to the venue to discuss the mistake. They did offer to return our money however the damage had been done and there was not enough time to fix their mistake. It was very disappointing that on her wedding day they did not deliver on what had been discussed and agreed upon. Some helpful hints if you use Del Sol- 1- Make sure you have his full attention during your consultation! 2- Check in on them the day before the wedding to make sure they bought the right color flowers!!! 3- Have the flowers delivered early so if there is a mistake- they hopefully have enough time to fix it prior to the wedding starting!! read more

Our wedding flowers were BEAUTIFUL. Even our photographers were super impressed by them and they kept telling us how gorgeous they were. I found one picture of a bridal bouquet I liked and told Narciso to use that as inspiration for everything. The bridal bouquet he made me was even better than the inspiration picture. The centerpieces were bigger than I thought they would be and we got lots of compliments on the flowers from our guests I was really on the fence about having flowers at our wedding because of the crazy cost, but Narciso was willing to work with my budget and I thought the price was very fair for everything that we got. I received an arrangement from Del Sol Flowers that was sent from a very dear friend of mine for my birthday. It was a wonderful surprise. The arrangement was lovely. But, then came the nightmare experience! I left to celebrate my birthday, I did not take my phone with me. When I returned home, I had several voice and text messages from Narciso! He urgently asked me to call him about my flowers. I called him after 8pm. He said there was a mix-up with the online flower company and "he needed to take back my arrangement bcuz he could sell it to someone else, for me to please leave it outside my door so he could pick it up in the morning." Excuse me? I have never heard of such a thing from a flower shop. I let my friend know about this and put the flower arrangement outside. My friend called Narciso and he was very unprofessional. He was screaming and justifying selling the arrangement to another unsuspecting customer! This was supposed to be a nice gesture and because of his unprofessionalism, he turned it into a nightmare for both the sender and the person receiving the flowers. He should have contacted the online company and the sender to work it out, he should have never contacted the person receiving the flowers. Only order flowers from Del Sol Flowers/Narciso in Arcadia, Ca if you DON'T care where/who has had your flowers over night! You don't know if the flowers were tampered with, plus you are now getting a second hand flower arrangement. Narciso/Del Sol Flowers don't care about their customers or building good-will. Owner very distracted and also didn't create my bridal bouquet as I had requested. He mixed up times and my flowers never arrived to the church for the ceremony.
