Above and beyond customer service. Beautifully arranged spray. I wanted to send my childhood friend's dad flowers as I would not be attending the funeral. I had zero experience with funeral flowers coming in. Prices online seemed too good to be true and quotes from neighboring flower shops easily cost 50% more. I used to work around the corner and decided to check out Fragrant Flowers. I am in awe by Fragrant Flower's friendly, patient service explaining the size, type, style of the different arrangements for funerals --sprays and wreaths. They didn't have actual displays in the store that day but Mona was super helpful to show me pictures of their past work in like style and size. After settling on the style, I gave her the address/time of service and the verbiage of the text on the ribbons. They know to adjust delivery time so it's before the service. Fragrant flowers texted me a picture the day they finished and another picture the day of service. It couldn't have been more perfect. Yesterday after work, I placed an order to have an orchid plant arrangement delivered to a co-worker as a "Get Well" sentiment. I really liked the customer service from both the owner and also a lady named Belinda who helped me. It was my first time ordering from this floral shop, which is not too far from my workplace. In the past, I have ordered through Teleflora. But lately, the customer reviews on Teleflora were not too great. So I decided to Yelp some places locally and that's how I came across "Fragrant Flowers." The prices are pretty reasonable and the flower and plant arrangements are pretty nice :) ! The shipping fee is based on the address that you need your order to be shipped to. Since I was shipping within San Gabriel Valley, the shipping fee for my order was very reasonable, considering how expensive gas is nowadays. "Fragrant Flowers" made sure that the orchid plant arrangement would be delivered before 12 noon. My co-worker received it and said it was really pretty :D ! My favorite flower is the stargazer lily and it is such a difficult flower but Alice managed to make it stand out, compliment the surrounding flowers, and while still creating something both beautiful and elegant. My (now) husband had first bought me Hong Kong flowers from Fragrant Flowers for our dating anniversary previous years and it was always so special to receive them and I have all my bouquets still. So when we got engaged, during our wedding planning process I knew that I wanted to have Fragrant Flowers to be a part of our wedding story. It was so great working with Alice for our wedding. She was very patient and very humble in taking care of us. We had a budget and she was able to work with what we were comfortable with. She helped us along the process of what flowers/decorations we really needed for our ceremony and reception to help stay in our budget as well, even then, she delivered a very grand presentation for us on our wedding day! I wasn't too opinionated on exactly what I wanted, just provided some pinterest photos of what I liked or something similar but didn't have to be exact and it was beyond what I had thought of. The choices of roses were perfectly bloomed and the colors were perfect, it really stood out in our photos but wasn't overwhelming either. Wish I can share all our wedding photos on here but I think I'll have to create a book of their lovely presentation. We both felt comfortable around Alice and we did not at all once felt pressure from her like other vendors. Which was good. I love love LOVE Fragrant Flowers!! I've been coming here for over 18 years =X Eeeek!! And it's my go-to place for flowers because honestly, no one does it better. I recently ordered my wedding bouquet, boutineer, and flower girl bouquet from here and it came out GORGEOUS!!!!! I showed Alice (the sweetest person EVER!!) some picture I found on Pinterest and she exceeded my expectations!! I took a bunch of pictures because although the flowers will die, these memories will last forever. Alice created my corsage for prom which was the first night I met my husband. Who would have known that over a decade later, she would personally create my wedding bouquet. This was really special for me. Anyway, Fragrant Flowers is known for their Hong Kong style bouquets where they spray paint and add glitter to roses or other sturdy flowers. It's gorgeous!!! I think the price is reasonable, but others who usually go to Vons for their bouquets will think it's pricey, but regardless, it's totally worth it because you can later dry it (spray with hairspray, then hang upside down in a dark place like your garage) and keep it forever. I have a dried bouquet from 14 years ago and still looks gorgeous. And if you're feeling less fancy, you can let Alice know how much you want to spend on a bouquet and she'll whip something gorgeous up for you. read more

My fiance surprised me with a Hong Kong style bouquet here a few months ago so we decided to have Fragrant Flowers do our arrangement for our engagement shoot. When we arrived to pick up our bouquet, some of the flowers were already starting to wilt. When I complained that one of the flowers was dying the man said loudly, "what it's not dead!" Then the owner comes out and says "they're not dying. Just rip off some of the petals". She then proceeds to rip off a few of the wilting petals. Look at the pictures below. This is after she already ripped off a few withering petals. NOTE: We JUST picked it up 5 minutes ago and came straight home so this is not due to the hot weather. I'm extremely pissed off. Her response was "oh I added in a few flowers to make it fuller and wrapped it nicely for you and added water". Yes that's nice but all I'm asking for is the bouquet we ordered with FRESH flowers. It doesn't matter how nicely you wrapped it if some of the flowers are already withering. It probably won't even last for our photoshoot. We should have just went to Ralphs or a different flower shop. If you're looking for Hong Kong flowers MAYBE this is the place to go because they spray paint the flowers and you wouldn't be able to tell if they're dying but if you want fresh flowers, go somewhere else. read more

If you are looking to impress that special someone, Fragrant Flowers is the place to go. Alice (owner) is such a nice person. She is very patient and gives great recommendations for flower design and colors. I always wondered where people purchased the incredibly enormous bouquets of super colorful hand wrapped flowers (Hong Kong Style Flowers). I was lucky enough to find Fragrant Flowers. So far I have bought two different bouquets and both have been jaw droppingly beautiful. One was a half dozen roses and the other was one dozen. Please keep in mind that half dozen is "HUGE"!!! One Dozen roses is "Ginormous." The HK style flowers really last a long time. I always make sure to call ahead and order with Alice. I live in Torrance but I am willing to drive all the way to San Gabriel just to get these flowers. Even though the prices are not cheap and the drive is far you really get more than your money's worth. So far both bouquets have lasted over 6 months. read more

The flowers were delivered to my home and left on front porch. No one was home to receive them. They were not as paid for by my daughter in Canada. They did not contain the succulent that was supposed to be included in the bouquet. I believe my daughter was somewhat compensated for, paying for something I did not receive. However, the flowers in the bouquet, although pretty for a day or two, never blossomed open and are all dead. They were placed in fresh water with the nurturing powder. I am speaking about the five roses that were placed in the bouquet that never openedand died quickly. I do not believe a florist should leave an open bouquet on the front porch if no one is home. FF knows how to fluff up your bouquet to make it look full and amazing even when you buy a smaller bouquet. Their colors are brilliant and beautiful, and pricing is fair for the quality they deliver. I keep all of my bouquets, so as of this review, some range from 2 weeks old to 4 years old. Yet, they all still look timeless... While the baby's breath do begin to get a little dried out, I think they hold up well and look fine. This holds true especially for the roses--the glitter finely paints the entire top half of each flower and preserves them for keepsake. read more
