I stopped here to grab a bouquet of flowers and the selection in the fridge was pretty good for walk-ins. The pre-arranged flowers were beautiful and many on brand with the seasons. The mini ones are so cute but the price was a little harder to justify for a small bouquet. I got a medium size bouquet for around $50 and it was gorgeous! read more

I paid $180 in full, three days in advance for a flower arrangement meant for a special occasion -- and what I received was extremely disappointing. The roses were wilted with brown, curling edges and the hydrangeas were discolored and yellowing. The bouquet looked old and tired, nothing close to the fresh, premium quality I was promised. I even stopped by the shop on my way to work at 8:30 AM the morning of pickup to make sure everything was on track. During that visit (and on our Sunday call), the staff promised to "take care of everything" and text me photos of the finished arrangement before delivery. Those photos never came. Having now seen the bouquet, I understand why -- it appears they were hoping I wouldn't notice the poor quality or would be easy to fool. What's worse, I saw fresh, vibrant purple-blue hydrangeas sitting in their storage, but they didn't use them in my arrangement. Instead, they gave me what looked like leftover or older flowers. As an hourly worker, I now have to take more time off to return to the shop and negotiate a refund or replacement. That should never be necessary when you pay in full and order ahead. If flowers can't be arranged properly as promised, a refund should be issued. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, and I will not be ordering here again. read more

Let me first say that this place has very pretty arrangements. As you can see from the picture I've attached, the arrangements are a cut above other flower shops. Even though they are pricey, (this particular one was $140), I've spent the money on many visits because I think their arrangements are beautiful. I'd say I've been to this flower shop about a dozen times and felt ok about spending the extra money. But no more. The woman who works there is super unfriendly. I've only had to engage with her a couple of times, but every question gets a brusk, discourteous response. I feel like she might have run an orphanage in Victorian England in a past life. I'm happy to spend the extra money for flower arrangements because the people that I buy them for are super appreciative. But I have to find a new place. read more

When I got there to pick it up I was blown away by how beautiful, fresh, fragrant and unique the arrangement was.. Definitely didn't look like a last minute bouquet that was under $80.. I gave it to my friend and she was like WOW!! And when she put it next to her other birthday arrangements it was WOW!! We both use other florists, but from now on I think Duran's Flowers will be my go to for not just gorgeous flowers but a great value too. Rude scamming people. They have a sign outside saying 2 dozens 49.99 when you go inside the Mexican guy tells you 79.99 for a dozen. Tries to scam you right away and when you want to leave tries to tell you the "special". Take your business elsewhere. This place needs to close. Rude and over priced. read more

So disappointed in this place. You can get much fresher roses at a supermarket or gas station. I purchased a dozen long stem roses today (Valentine's Day) and FOUR HOURS LATER numerous petals are already falling off. Lulu went out of her way for me and in my recent experiences, this is very rare. I ordered flowers on Tuesday for Wednesday. I wanted peony's and was gently suggested to go in a different direction b/c they were small. Then my recipient was not able to receive the flowers and then the next day got away from me. So this morning I called to see if the bouquet was worth sending, because I knew it had already been made. Lulu said she would deliver it today and would remake it. I do business with Duran's flowers about three times a year and normally deal with the owner. I called Tuesday morning the Feb 13th and ask them about sending a big pot of orchids. Something that was already made, and they wouldn't have had to put any work into it. It was in the $300 range. The woman who answered phone told me they had two options. I said I'm happy to pay for either one, but could you send me a quick text with a picture so I can pick one of them since you don't have anything on your website. She spent about a minute and a half explaining to me how busy she was, and that she would do it when she had time later that afternoon. I called back four hours later and the same woman answered and I asked her about the pictures. Again, she spent about a minute and a half to explain to me how busy she was. That she was the only one answering the phone and that she's been just too busy to send me those pictures. But she had all my information and that she would call me back. Well it's February 14, 2024 mid day and I'm still waiting for that phone call. Unless you're really technology challenged, it takes about 30 seconds to take a picture and send a text message. Needless to say, I bought the orchids from someone else and spent more money than I should have with one of their competitors down the street. Hopefully, Duran will see this and take some corrective action, this was wrong! read more

We paid close to $600.00 to ensure the family received a beautiful arrangement for the passing of their family member and what they received was nothing short of horrible. The sympathy message was hand written on a white piece of paper and taped on. They did have one for about $60, I really appreciated the florist said it needed to be freshened up and she did put some new flowers in it and it was perfect! I wanted to get some flowers sent to a close friend who was unexpectedly hospitalized and found Duran's via Yelp. I was interested in the tropical yet chic and upscale arrangements on their website. They did not disappoint!! Not only did they deliver within just a few hours to the Pasadena hospital but my friend exclaimed they were the most stunning flowers she had ever received. The entire floor and nurse staff fished over them through the week. Best quality flowers I have experienced and I'm always on the hunt for something fresh for my girls. Unlike some of the other places I've been, Duran's doesn't spray a bottle of perfume on their arrangements to distract you from the fact that what you bring home only has 2 days before it's ready for the compost pile. When I was 16 my friends and I went to see Joni Mitchell perform. My friend Chris was looking through her binoculars at Joni on the stage and didn't even realize that she shouted "WOW, WHAT A DRESS" loudly. Of course Ms. Mitchell's dress was fabulous. Looking for flowers for Hanukkah? Look no further. WOW! These folks will do a great job. I just had such an amazing experience w Duran. Last minute, last night, I decided to send flowers to my niece for Hanukkah. I did not want to order from a generic flower service that takes a percent from the florist. I looked on line and found Duran in the neighborhood of Pasadena near my niece's apartment and saw they had some good reviews so decided to try them. I used their on line ordering which was easy. I used their "custom arrangement" function to request a blue and white themed piece at the price point I wanted. WOW is it gorgeous! It arrived before noon all ready to make the first night and Hanukkah week beautiful and special despite our lockdown. Duran florist read my requests and put together a really unique arrangement with what they had in the shop this morning-- it was a lovely mix of mostly white lilies, blue hydrangeas and roses with silvery-geen accent folliage. Apparently they even had blue roses on hand to mix with white for the occasion! (Not exactly natural, but so festive!) Save your money, time and visit the 2 florists on Green Street (Jacob Maarse and Brad Larsen) that make extraordinary floral design and take pride in their work and value their customers. One of my colleagues had given an arrangement to one of our nurses (pink roses, cymbidium orchids, white hydrangea) that is pictured on their website. I thought it would be a nice pick me up for our caregivers. I placed an order for the same arrangements on Sat for delivery the following Thursday. Duran's flowers left me message the Wed before delivery asking if I wanted "holiday" white arrangements instead. I was not able to return the call Wed as I worked until 9 pm. I called when they opened on Thurs and spoke with an employee and stated no, I did not want white holiday arrangements. I would like delivered what I ordered and paid for. She said that "they would take care of it". So what is delivered. White arrangements with no roses and cheap orchids that I could have bought at a grocery store. I suspect that these were arrangements not picked up by another customer or extra white stock that they wanted to dispose of prior to the holiday. I then called Duran's flowers and spoke with a male employee who kept arguing with me that "they were busy", "they are just flowers" and "don't you make mistakes". Um no. Mistakes should not be made when there is a picture of the order, there is specific clarification when establishment attempts to make unwanted changes and there is reassurance that no unwanted changes will occur. Ordering flowers should not be a stressful and undesirable experience. read more

I ordered flowers for my aunt's funeral. The design I ordered was called a "box arrangement". The design was elegant and striking (just like my dear aunt); and the flowers were delivered right on time and incredibly fresh. I live nearby and have stopped in a few times. They have great pre-arranged options and are helpful when you want to pre-order for a special occasion. I love flowers, but lack the ability to select and arrange myself. Most recently, I ordered some centerpieces for my mom's retirement party. Lulu was amazing in helping me figure out what I wanted. I showed her the colors and pictures of the other decorations and gave her the vases I wanted to use. I was blown away when I went to pick them up.
