I stopped by Altadena Florist and had such a pleasant experience. There were a few people working in the shop and everyone was wearing a mask. They were all so nice. I said I just wanted a small bouquet. One employee showed me some that were pre-made. I said I liked one, but if I could just replace the pink roses with orange and yellow ones, it would be perfect. She said it was not a problem. I asked to have the patterned plastic removed and just add a ribbon, so you could see the flowers. Another employee offered clear plastic, so you could see them, but still be protected. It doesn't seem like a big deal, but they were so nice and friendly about it, it just made me really appreciate their customer service. Will definitely be returning. read more

I was heading up where Lake Ave ends to go hiking on a sarurday a couple weeks back and caught this place out the corner of my eye. Thought I'd stop by after my hike and see if I could find something for a gift for a friend of mine. I was impressed by the arrangement and color scheme of what is presented in the store. They had flowers that I've never seen before. I didn't know what to get, but the two ladies working here were very kind and patient with me. They made some recommendations, and wow, I was surprised by what I received. It was well put together. I paid close to 70$ but what I received was beautiful. I received a bouquet as a gift. The vase or urn had been freshly spray painted, as was the greenery, and the fresh paint smell was overwhelming. After having the arrangement in the house for five minutes, I had to move it outside in the hopes that the smell of paint would dissipate. Several hours later, the smell was just as strong. I was able to salvage about half the arrangement (flowers that were fresh and had not been spray painted) so I have a small arrangement of flowers to enjoy. The rest is in the trash. read more

To my surprise, every single rose that I ordered were fresh, with no signs of bruising, and the bouquet looked exactly as I ordered. This Place is amazing! I was in a few days before it took on new ownership and the change done there is night and day! They have all fresh assortments to choose from as well as more than just flowers. They also provide different types of jewelry, and great smelling soaps and lotions. I was in a bit of a pickle because it was Mother's Day weekend, and I was still trying to figure out what kind of arrangement to get my mother. I went in, and Ken and Gina - the store owners - were very helpful. They were great - nice, welcoming, and very courteous. I told Gina what kind of flowers my mother liked and her favorite color, and she helped me figure out the rest from there. I picked it up on Sunday in their store, and the arrangement was beautiful.
