Good vibes, great service, and friendly workers! I bought some colorful wrapping paper from this place for a gift I was preparing for my mother. The online website is nice. Things are laid out well, the pictures are nice, and they accept a wide range of payments too. In person the area is super cute and cozy. Big windows that allow for plenty of beautiful natural lighting, good scents, and unique card designs. When I picked up my wrapping paper, I met Erica, who is one of the workers there. We are so happy we stumbled upon Smitten on Paper. We are getting married in September at a beautiful venue and wanted our invites to reflect the same feel. Smitten is definitely a higher-end invitation store but what makes them best, is their customer service. We were lucky enough to have Dylan Polanco as our designer. She has gone above and beyond with showing us options, samples and most importantly her time. We are very picky and rather demanding but Dylan never fell short. She exceeded our expectations on every occasion. We have finally finalized our invitation and are ready to print. If you're tempted to try this place out, I suggest you do and ask for Dylan! Although the invites are pricey, the saying is true, "you get what you pay for." The quality is great but more importantly, the great customer service from our designer justifies the price. read more

I visited Smitten on Paper after hearing they were hosting a pop up shop of local designers this weekend, including a perfume brand I'm a fan of, so I decided to swing by. I've never ventured to Monrovia either, so it was interesting to see such a Mayberry-esque town with restored historic brick buildings housing assorted shops and dining options- looks like a nice place to raise a family. Smitten on Paper is a spacious, loftlike shop that carries stationery items for special occasions- wedding invitations, placecards, gift tags, calligrapher services, birthday cards, etc. as well as clever gift items- frameable prints with song lyrics from Lana Del Rey ("Heaven is a place on earth with you"), Rifle paper journals, cheeky travel coffee mugs... The ideal place to stop by if you're planning your wedding or need an impromptu birthday gift & card. The designers are so inviting and you can tell they really put thought into every touch of detail in the store. It's clean and well put together and offers so much variety. Wowww. Like a kid in a candy shop, I just wanted to buy everything in this store. This cute, quaint cards & stationery shop is a must-go for anyone like myself that loves office supplies, stationary and paper goods (I'm a collector, or more of a hoarder, of pens, arts & crafts, and paper supplies). I came in with my fiancé to get quotes about customized wedding invitations and I was just in awe of all the creative samples they had on display. There was not one design that I did not like. I went to another customized card shop before and after walking into Smitten On Paper, and those shops are in no comparison to this place. Unlike Smitten On Paper, the other shops only had a couple, IF ANY, samples that I sort of liked, but it just didn't fit my taste. The style and design at Smitten On Paper is exactly what I was looking for: rustic, vintage, romantic, tasteful, clean.. not that they wouldn't be able to create a customized card in a different style that you like. As for prices, the quotes I received from the few stores I went to were about the same. Smitten on Paper might be just slightly higher than average but the quality of their work is superior to the rest. To say the least, I'm sold. Love at first cardstock! Smitten on Paper is THE place to go for all things stationary. There are a variety of notebooks, office accessories, gifts and pens/pencils that you will surely not leave empty handed! They have a HUGE retail space where you can buy all sorts of cute goodies. The huge windows bring in natural lighting which makes the space feel so surreal and serene! The decorations are gorgeous-I wish I could decorate my apartment like their store! There is another HUGE space where the designers work on making custom invitations. I happened to be in the area and wanted to stop by to check out the place. I follow them on Instagram and their photos are so beautiful that I needed to check this place out in person. They are closed weekends but luckily one of their designers was there and saw me peeking through the windows. She let me in and let me shop for a few things which was nice given their limited hours! I ended up leaving with 2 sets of foil journals with lined pages and a floral printed notepad which will make perfect accessories for my desk at home. The designer even gave me a few freebie cards which was a nice gesture! Their retail items aren't too expensive and make lovely gifts. If you're planning a party and want invitations, look no further-Smitten has it all! I will definitely be back to stock up on notepads and the like. I just wish their hours were more extensive since I work on the weekdays during the times they are open. However, if you happen to be strolling the streets of Monrovia on Tuesday-Friday from 11am-4pm, do yourself a favor and swing on by the shop! I've truly been smitten by this place! read more

Wow! Where do I begin. Amy from smitten on paper has been amazing to work with. She responded to all my e-mails so prompt. She answered all my questions and designed my envelopes exactly the way I wanted. The customer service here is remarkable, and any stressed out bride can really appreciate that. Here is what really shocked me, something went wrong in the shipping process that wasn't even the company's fault, and instead of investigating what went wrong and wasting any time(I needed to get my invites out asap) she reprinted and mailed out new invites within 24 hours. Been following them on Instagram for a while and finally got a chance to get there when they're open. Fantastic! Love the shop... the vibe of it, the layout, the offerings... everything! The lovely girl, Dillon/Dylan (sp?), at the register was very helpful, friendly, and all around awesome. Great sunny day playlist playing in the background, too. So many great cards and treats for a stationery/pen fanatic; the only downside for me would be that they didn't offer old school calligraphy broad edge pens/nibs (but they do have a great ink selection) that I need. Also, I love boxed stationery notes and they didn't have a large selection of those either. However, the selection of individual cards (many printed on-site!) was very nice and fairly priced. Even though they don't carry everything I need/want, it's still a wonderful place to browse and buy... and I can't wait to attend the Calligrafair this year, it sounds amazing!! read more

Cannot say enough good things about Smitten on Paper. My daughter used them for all her wedding stationery needs. From our first visit with initial designer,Teresa, we knew we were in good hands. My daughter had an idea of what she wanted and Teresa pulled a design that was perfect. We put our basic suite together at the store but the rest of the pieces were all done via email with designer Chelsea who was AWESOME! She had some great ideas for enhancing my daughter's suite and extra pieces. She responded to all emails immediately and was an absolute joy to work with. Her design sense was spot-on.
