In all the years coming to Bethany Beach we've never made it to Sedona but were able to make a last minute Saturday night reservation so here we are. The decor was quite inviting and the service was friendly and attentive. We had the ahi tuna wontons and deviled eggs appetizers. They were both off the hook amazing. We'd return just to have them again. The Wagyu burger was quite good. The only negative was the Surf and Turf. The kitchen should have been embarrassed to put a dish out like that with only enough lobster to fill a thimble. For the price of that item I say shame! But for the minuscule amount of lobster the dish was very good, especially the sauce I asked for on the side that I used as an au jus. read more

Wow, what an extreme dissapointment this place was. Waited about 20 minutes for our drinks but first the "bartender" came by to ask how to make the drink! Then waited one hour for our dinner and to say it was terrible is being kind. The chicken was one small piece (cold), with three green beans and two cherry tomatoes for $36.00!!! The chicken at Harris Teether is better. I had the Shrimp and Pasta -- four shrimp and some pasta and sauce for $38.00. A salad an additional charge of $15.00. I told the waitress that the food was a disgrace and also wrote a note on my bill. Of course, it was not her fault and we tipped her in full. When we left several other couples got up and left as their food was not there yet. The restaurant was not full and they appeared to have plenty of staff. Thankful that the hostess who allowed us to dine in Sedona, on this particularly rainy evening - without a reservation. Arriving at around 5PM on a Saturday and the restaurant, had one other customer - but quickly, filled to capacity and was a bit tight (too close for comfort, in my opinion) in the seating arrangements (back to back, nearly elbow to elbow). The strawberry salad app was a costly dud - romaine, barely there feta, dressing (absent), the star ingredient Strawberries - small, sliced - looking more like a garnish and the chorizo, oily/dry/chewy and uncomplimentary to its neighboring ingredients. The crab tostado - loved the freshness of the lump crabmeat, but was confused about the salad. There was no salad, simply a moundful of crabmeat, absent flavors: smoked jalapeno and lemon aioli. Already, spent a small fortune, menu reads eclectic, though food doesn't live up to the description. Over to the entrée, rack of lamb - cooked the way I requested, caramelized onions and cherry demi, made for a cloyingly, overly sweet sauce and was off-put by the crumbles of blue cheese. Another review that is long overdue... This place was delicious! We sat inside but were definitely distanced from any other patrons, and the servers all wore masks the whole time. Our server was very friendly and seemed like she really knew the menu. I was debating between two dishes and she was able to help me decide. My fiancé had the lamb, and still raves about it! He said it's probably the best lamb he's ever had. I had the salmon, which came with coconut rice and some veggies. I was a little worried that the coconut would overpower the other flavors, but I was definitely wrong to be worried. It was perfect. It had just enough coconut flavor without overpowering anything else. The salmon was perfectly cooked and flavorful (it was curry-adjacent). Even 6 months later my mouth waters thinking about that salmon. If I went back to Bethany I'd definitely have to go to Sedona! read more

We had six different tapas between us and each was wonderful though I thought the smoked duck was exceptional. Wonderful meal this evening! From start to finish our meal was perfect. Robin was our waitress and did an excellent serving job. We started with the Guava Cosmos (awesome!), Port Manhattan, and a beer along with the Manchengo Dates which were out of this world amazing! We progressed to the main dishes: Lamb, Duck, and Swordfish Steak cooked perfectly and so very tasty. The 8 1/2 Malbec paired perfectly with all of our dishes. Of course we had to have dessert! The Pecan Pie with the Pina Colada cake were a perfect ending to a top class meal. Highly recommend this restaurant when you are in Bethany Beach and want a top class dining experience. This restaurant did not have a bad part of the meal. The food was amazing and the ambiance was tasteful. In talking with the staff, the owner designed and created most of the decorations, including a wall of wine bottle corks from bottles poured over the years at the restaurant. We went to Sedona for our 45th anniversary. We were a little hesitant, since it was almost an hour drive from our place in Millsboro (and a $60 Uber ride-ouch!). We started with the duck with squash and the artichoke appetizers. Both were delicious. The Mrs. then ordered the veal chop, which was the size of a Smith and Wesson 6" Revolver. I had the baked salmon with white rice and sea weed--delicious! Plenty to take home! We split the Caesar salad, which was more than enough for two, as we ended up taking some of that home. (Included some very nice anchovies, which are getting hard to find these days.) We indulged ourselves in dessert- after all, how often do you celebrate 45 years of marriage (yeah, but, to the same person??). She had the key lime pie, I had the pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. We both took most of the desserts home(except for the ice cream, of course). By the time we left, we had 4 takeout boxes in two plastic shopping bags. We thought the wine list was a little touch pricey and a bit limited, so instead she had the chardonnay by the glass, which she said was quite drinkable (she had two). I had a dirty Tito's vodka Martini up, and it was heavenly. MASKS OFF to our server (Kelsey, I believe?). The perfect place to go for a date night dining experience at the beach. We had Nick as our server and he was the picture of professionalism. The decor was a bit dated, but did not detract at all from the experience (Table cloths would go a long way). We started our meal with a cheese and charcuterie board which was exquisite. There were four cheeses and a smattering of cured meats and fruits and nuts. Nick brought us bread to enjoy with this course, and it was excellent, most likely baked in-house. Since my fiancé and I were in it for a long multi course meal, we ordered a bottle of wine. The selection was great and hit all of the popular variatels and price points. When confronted with the menu of tapas we could not choose, so we told nick "we want 6 tapas, you choose your favorites and bring them out two at a time." He did such a fantastic job presenting the waves of courses, I can't wait to go back and do it all again. We ended up ordering a second bottle, but only made it half way through so he re-corked it and bagged it up for us. In summation, we could not have had a more pleasant evening. Request Nick if you have a chance, you won't be disappointed. I suggest having him choose your tapas (if you choose tapas over plated entrees). Even though I think that table cloths would fit this restaurant well (even a piece of butcher paper on top to preserve the linen), there is nothing I would change about our visit. Actually after proof reading this I can't exclude the hostess from this review. When we entered the restaurant the hostess was not very happy or friendly. When we explained that we had not made a reservation she seemed to sigh and stare at the seating chart in front of her for what was clearly and exaggeratedly long amount of time before she took us to our table. Management should probably encourage a welcoming and cheerful host as they are the first and last person the diner sees. That being said, we forgot all about it during the excellent service, we will be going back every time we come to the beach. read more

Sedona is one of the top restaurants in Bethany Beach and they are so for a good reason. Their food and service are both notch. I had the veal chop. Others had salmon and rockfish. My chop was presented well and delicious. The others felt likewise. Their Sangria special, for a second visit, was not that great, watery and tasted as if was lacking ingredients. This drops my rating to a 4. However, If there was a 4.5 rating, I would have selected that as everything else was superb. We will definitely return but not select the sangria again. read more

This was a fabulous restaurant when it first opened many years ago. We were neighbors of the original owner and he was a great host back then. Those days we would go once a week. The current owners run a good place and the food is nice albeit pricey. I have eaten here twice now. Small portions and expensive for what you get. That said I'm a foody and have no problem paying high prices if the food is good. Honestly, this place is not gonna be on our list again. The steak is the only thing worth the money. The tuna appetizer lacks flavor and needs some wasabi type of compliment. The short rib ravioli has too much watery sauce. The duck has no seer and is too fleshy (also waaay to little meat for the price). The orange marmalade on the carrot cake doesn't work. While on vacation in off-season, in Bethany Beach my wife and I were guided to Sedona by a local who works in the cafe inside The Good Earth Market in nearby Millville. (The cafe, itself, is a treat, especially for those with good taste and sensitive systems. The main menu is a bit pricey, but we were looking for light fare. Very good service. We chose four items from their tapas menu and I ordered a dirty martini. The martini was a perfect blend of gin/vodka and my three olives were large. We ordered the shrimp miso soup special of the day, $6 The Pan seared scallops with bacon and risotto $10 Seared sesame encrusted tuna with asian slaw and seaweed salad, $9 A salad with slices of pear, arugula and goat cheese. $? The servings were not particularly large, but, to my surprise we were both very satisfied by these dishes. Someone else used the word inventive to describe the dishes. I agree with that! Very good combinations that make you want to hold each fork or spoonful in your mouth to enjoy the experience. Sedona screams mediocrity in just about every respect but the ability to make reservations and a different menu than most of the seafood centered restaurants in Bethany adds to its appeal. A highlight was the duck that tasted like bacon but most of the other small plates were just ok. For example, the Asian flatiron steak was basically a 1 note stir fry missing a bang. The shrimp was ok but the grits aren't any better than a diner's. The waiter was pleasant but unprepared to answer basic menu questions. read more

So glad we decided to go back to Sedona after a year break. The genuinely welcoming service from hostess to waitress was so refreshing and only added to the best food experience we have had in Bethany for a long time. The chefs have definitely put time, thought and creativity into every plate. The salmon was presented with a sort of deconstructed fresh salad of tomatoes, field greens, cranberries, green beans and quinoa. The seared sushi grade tuna was in no need of a knife as it was extremely tender. We so appreciate the attention to detail from everyone in the restaurant. I ordered a caprese salad that promised homemade mozzarella and it was not and terrible. It's the end of July and the tomatoes we nothing special and they should have been. You can walk down the street to any farm stand and get awesome tomatoes right now. There is no excuse for an anything but a delicious tomato. We sent it back. We ordered smoked duck on a coconut risotto. It was soupy rice - not even made with arborio. Our server was nice but when we received the bill, the salad was still there. When asked about why he didn't take the salad off the bill, he said he would have asked the owner but she was busy. I would have expected at least a comped glass of wine. Had 8 o clock reservations didn't eat till after nine. Absolutely ridiculous. Over priced food was only ok. This place gets away with charging exorbitant prices because they are the only dressy/formal restaurant in the area (that I'm aware of). For good food, go the North East Seafood Kitchen. Casual, but much better. The prices here really were outrageous. The food was quite unimaginative. My lobster was charred beyond belief. My "saffron rice" was just plain white rice. Bf's Risotto was NOT risotto. perhaps rice cooked in milk, not water? Won't go back. Ever. Did I mention the service was TERRIBLE? I understand it's the season but how hard would it be to hang a few fly traps when the place is closed. Considering the atmosphere it was a turn off. I was in Bethany this past weekend with a friend visiting his family and we decided to give Sedona a try (based on a friend's recommendation). We were very pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! I ordered the three tapas for $25 option, which while not listed on the menu was listed on the website. I got the seared ahi tuna, the scallops, and the fish of the day which was a grilled salmon with horseradish sauce. All were good though I would say the tuna was the best. Perfectly done and very flavorful. Our waiter was lovely and the service was excellent. For a beach restaurant, i liked that we were able to make a reservation and the dining room was busy but quiet enough to have a conversation at the table without shouting at each other. Overall we had a lovely, leisurely, tasty meal at Sedona and will absolutely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant. I have a lot of thoughts on this place. Pros: -Service: Our server, Kelsey, was excellent. She far exceeded any of the other servers we've had at other Bethany Beach or nearby restaurants. She knew when to be attentive and when to let us be, and she got our drink orders to us in no time. -Menu: I love that the wine list is on the front of the menu. Why don't more places do this? It is the first thing you order, always, therefore it should be the first thing on the menu. -Food: We all agreed the food was excellent. We had the duo salad, the green salad, the scallops, the cheese plate, the shark bites, and the crab. The shark bites were probably the least loved, but still tasty. We also ordered bread ($3) which was delicious; it was served hot and with honey butter. I understand and appreciate the need to serve bread a la carte at a restaurant featuring tapas. We all had dessert - coconut cake, key lime pie, and chocolate cake. The two cakes were enormous portions, but all three were delicious. Cons: -Ambiance: The tables & chairs are cheap and gauche. White tablecloths and updated, more luxurious chairs would go a long way. The benches could benefit from more comfortable cushions and new throw pillows. The lighting is too bright for dinner service and spotlighted in certain places. -Wine: While the wines were tasty, I wish they had a more expansive list of wines by the glass. Offering wine pairings with the tapas would be a really nice addition to the menu for people looking to try a lot of new things. -Music: There was no ambient noise/music playing. All three of us commented on how awkward it was, and I even asked Kelsey to have some music put on. We still didn't hear any music during our visit, but this is a really easy thing to fix that would have a big impact. read more

Never got in the door...Hubby and I were in Bethany Beach with kids and little ones. This was our only night out... just the two of us. We had a 5:30 reservation. We arrive at the door along with a couple of elderly ladies that also had early reservations. It was 97 degrees. Young, prissy gentleman unlocks the door, opens it and says... "we don't open until 5:30". My husband says. "What time is it?". Guy looks at his watch and says, "5:27" and closes the door on all four of us! We are standing in the sweltering sun. We just looked at each other and said... we are out of here. Friday night so now we are out of luck for finding seating anywhere decent. Shameful. Customer service... abominable. read more

We're in town visiting from NC and we loved every bite of this restaurant! Susan was terrific and recommended great food selections and wine options! We got the mushroom bake, scallops, and meatballs to start... everything was delicious. For mains we went with the fish of the day (they very willing prepared the fish blackened and my husband loved it!) and the crab cakes (they gladly subbed a side for me) and we ate every bite.
