Food Experience We ordered the tuna poke, flash‑fried whole red snapper, salad with grilled shrimp, and coconut cream pie. Each dish was excellent -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coconut cream pie was a standout dessert, and the seafood dishes were cooked perfectly. Atmosphere We sat at the back of the outside patio, which was pleasant in terms of seating and ambiance. However, the location had some drawbacks: The dumpster was directly behind us, and the smell carried into the dining area. Flies were present on the patio, and it seemed likely they were attracted by the dumpster rather than the breeze. 14 Global, the neighboring restaurant, had a cook who frequently exited the side door next to our table to smoke. The cigarette smoke drifted into our eating area, only 5-10 feet away. Overall Impression While the food was outstanding and the patio seating had potential, the environmental factors significantly detracted from the experience. The proximity to the dumpster and cigarette smoke made the meal less enjoyable. Recommendation I would not discourage anyone from visiting Patsy's -- the food is worth it. However, I would caution diners about the back patio seating, as the location near the dumpster and neighboring restaurant's smoking area can affect the overall dining experience. read more

3.5 stars. Food was delivered fresh and hot, but we found most items lacking just a bit. We had an app special of a local Bennett peach grilled, stuffed with goat cheese and a slice of prosciutto. I thought the cheese overwhelmed the peach because I couldn't really taste it. Interesting combination though. Conch fritters and ceviche were good. A rare tuna entree featured tuna that was stringy/sinewy but had good flavor. Our entrees of catfish and halibut desperately needed salt. (Patsy's doesn't provide S&P on the tables.) A lemon ginger martini needed to be strained - after a few sips I got tired of chewing on all the ginger chunks. Our lemondrop and espresso martinis were good. Server was friendly but had a hacking cough. The place is cute with a Key West vibe but got pretty noisy after a little while. The menu had just enough interesting entrees that we might return. read more

You must make a reservation! The service was great. The bar had two specials going on. Tables are kind of tight outside but bearable. It's very cute inside, but you definitely want to request to sit outside. Our server was very knowledgeable. Wasn't aware that it was four dollars for the bread, but I recommend getting it. I come here every summer and the dishes never disappoint. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes to start off with!! read more

I took my grand daughter to my favorite Bethany Beach restaurant last Saturday. We had the grilled peaches, and roasted crab soup, scallops on coconut rice and the lamb steak. Then we enjoyed the peach cobbler and took a piece of the famous chocolate ganache cake home. Peter's attentive service was as wonderful as usual! I went to Patsy's and I wasn't sure what to expect; the place is small and quaint but the service is outstanding and the food is great! Start with their fresh bread, they give you olive oil and butter; so up to you! We had the halibut and the poke; the halibut was fresh and cooked to perfection and the poke tuna was fresh and delicious with crunchy slaw. I visited with 3 friends last night. The food was excellent. We had the tuna special, crab cakes and shrimp & grits. Lisa, our server, was extremely helpful with explaining the specials and making food and drink recommendations. We had the passion fruit margarita and homemade red sangria. She hustled the entire time we were there. Food and drinks were served quickly and everything was great. Patsys is a popular restaurant and deservedly so. They serve fresh, delicious, interesting items and are located not far from the center of the strip. Service is fun and friendly and the ambience is relaxed. My wife and I had crab soup, pumpkin soup, Key West salad, and the tuna entrée. Everything was delicious. They also had a delicious cocktail that included Woodford reserve bourbon and ginger. Prices definitely fall into what I would call the 'fancy' category but worth it for a special night out. From here you are a quick walk to the beach. Recommend to make reservations during high season. read more

Went to Patsy's at Bethany beach on a recommendation from a friend. It is in a charming beach house with easy parking and in very walkable area. Height of the season so had a reservation- thank goodness! The menu was varied, food DELICIOUS, staff friendly & professional & working hard! Lisa Valle, the manager was very present and attentive- checked on customers, helped serve, and never stopped moving! We were not rushed, even though there were people waiting. We had lovely meals at Patsy's tonight. The corn & crab chowder was very good. The crab cake entree was excellent. The shrimp and grits were delicious and the best we've had in Delaware, and the coconut cream pie came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Heather made great recommendations and is delightful. We will definitely be back! We saw the bartender pitching in at tables when a large group came in. The enclosed porch seating is nice and much more quiet than inside. We'll try it next time. Had high hopes but sadly came away very disappointed. Conk fritters were extremely gummy. Cuban pork had great flavor but the rice, plantains, and beans were very bland. We have tried for years to get into Patsy's for dinner, and finally made it last night. It was WELL worth the wait and then some! We had the most amazing dinner and will definitely be back, it's our new favorite place in Bethany :) We started with the grilled Bennett peach appetizer which was a wonderful beginning! The flavor combinations in this dish were perfectly balanced as were the textures. Then we spilt the key west salad - delicious combination and perfectly dressed. My husband had the halibut and said it was the best he has ever had- and he has had plenty of halibut. I had the soft shells - also the best I've ever had. I stop looking at a menu when there are soft shells, so to say they were the best is quite laudable! Then we had the coconut cream pie for dessert which was absolutely delectable. Seriously I would go back just to grab another slice of that pie! The cocktails were fabulous - I had the ginger lemon martini and my husband had the jalapeño margarita. We are looking forward to coming back in very soon for another phenomenal dining experience! The wait staff was terrific also. Amazing fine dining experience on the beach. There are very few table, so I would definitely recommend a reservation to get a taste of their fabulous seafood and drinks. 20 year Bethany native checking in here... Having tried mostly everything in town and the surrounding area, my advice on Patsy's is treat yourself! Usually when we find a place we love we keep it a secret, however Patsy's is special deserves praise. Although the patio is adorable, would recommend sitting at the inside bar (tiny, 4 stools) and enjoying a fabulous evening with Tim, who will guide you through the best of the extensive menu and cocktail list! Our service at Patsy's was exceptional (talented professionals with practice based recommendations on pairings and what to order and when) as compared to some of the other shops in town. You can tell the staff cares deeply about the reputation of the restaurant. The food was excellent, very fresh with a unique style and the cocktails were the best we've had recently. Amazing food & quaint ambiance. This is a cannot miss in Bethany beach. What to get: - scallops - cooked perfectly with a mango spicy salsa l. I'm usually not a fan of sweet and scallops, but the spice perfectly balanced it - Crabcakes - best I've ever had. They are flavorful, moist, yet still held together really well - crab & corn chowder - absolutely epic - crazy crab sandwich - I was unsure about this at first but it is the perfect balance of Crisby, sweet, salty. Lastly, I've noticed that the same staff comes back year and year again, which is always a positive sign. I wish I could eat here everyday. Patsy's Restaurant is a wonderful place to dine! Over 8 times we have dropped in. Thankful that they have set up online reservations, as the word is out that the food is good. We dropped in with friends last Sunday and were seated inside. Cocktails are always creative, fresh and flavorsome! The soups and starters were all very delicious. It was Fried Chicken Sunday and funny enough....we never tried it. So my better half got the chicken, while I went for the Halibut. No regrets on my choice! The beautiful fish was served over whipped potatoes and spinach. Delicious, tender and moist. I was offered a bit of the fried chicken...well, it was the opposite of my halibut. So very dry. Sorry to report, the piece of breast meat I had, was not moist at all. I actually choked on it. Lesson learned...stick with the fish! They are an amazing and great restaurant! Could easily be a 5 Star Here's how : Crab Chowder ; very good flavor and thickness but almost no crab meat ,tons of corn , might as well be called Corn chowder . Put in some lump and it's a10. Scallops : Perfect but very small and only 4 . Four would be acceptable if they were large ,but I've had appetizers bigger than these and larger quantity for a third . If your charging over 45 dollars you should get at least 5-6 for that size . This may be the most expensive scallops per portion I've ever had and I've been to many Michelin restaurants all over the world. Just felt a little ripped off on the scallops for that price for an appetizer size main which included no sides . The Cuban pork was excellent and I've been to many authentic Cuban restaurants ! The calamari great too . Waitress was very good and drink specials too. read more

Charming atmosphere; a nice change of atmosphere and different than other places in Bethany. The wait can be long in summer, but we got lucky and sat a 2-top on the porch right away. I should mention that, despite being outdoors, the porch gets very loud. There were 2 parties of 4 that were both very loud, just having a good time, but it was distracting since the tables are so close. We had a delicious fried green tomato appetizer, with pimiento cheese and fresh pesto. Husband's shrimp & grits were delicious - the sauce/broth was especially good. The portion is not large. My soft shell crabs were delicious - pricey at $46 which wasn't mentioned or printed on the menu. Large crabs, cooked well. I would have liked a little sauce and didn't realize until the crabs were gone that sauce had been smeared underneath - usually served on the side of the plate. I suggest serving a little sauce in a little cup on the side. The accompanying black bean salad was delicious but the red cabbage slaw was too spicy to eat - must have been an unusual batch. The peach cobbler dessert was also delicious and enough for 2 to share. We will look forward to our next visit. read more

Food was really good. We had the Crab Cakes and the Scallops with red curry sauce. The asparagus was grilled to perfection. The crab cake had large succulent lumps, as written on the menu and the scallops arrived with the delightfully spiced red curry sauce on the side so that the sear remained crisp for each bite.
