There's a review here that says that this place in on the corner. The one on the corner is technically DB's Fries. You know they are both the same owner or at least the same franchise even though slightly different names and a slight different array of offerings. This location at the inside area of the same plaza has seating and more seafood. They use quality bread for their oyster po-boy and and use slightly different ingredients compared to the po-boy at DB-Fries. I forget what the ingredients were at both places- you can investigate yourself, lol. I just wanted good food and to stay out of the slight rain on this particular day. The fries are fresh and well done. Better than Thrashers imo and not a line. Looking back, I probably should've gotten the lobster roll here and the po-boy at Henlopen instead because at Henlopen, it's a combination of seafood instead. Nonetheless, the seafood here was fresh and if it's not a bad day and love seafood, you probably can't really make a wrong choice Staff here is friendly. read more

This was a mind blowing experience no extra sauces needed! Butter and lobster simple but extremely flavorful. I could go back for every meal if the lobster roll tasted like that every time. The coleslaw had what I believe to be horseradish or something in it that set it aside from all the other local ones. It was super tasty. The fries were decent but nothing special just all around good fries (maybe the need a special sauce for those to set them off). Even though there is great variety on the menu, my husband and I both ordered the hot lobster roll which came with fries and coleslaw. It was absolutely delicious. All of it. Lobster roll, fries and slaw! Service was pleasant and quick. The little spot even has some tables and booths to sit inside to get a break from the sun. If I'm in the area again, I'd eat here again. Got SUCH a good lobster roll here! It was the perfect lunch for the beach and super close to pick up. The lobster-Mayo ratio was perfect and the chunks of lobster were the perfect size. Things are still weird at restaurants as the world starts to reopen after Covid. We found this place via Yelp, because we were in Bethany and I wanted a low key casual seafood dinner. I wanted the experience we'd had in other beach towns of being near the ocean and having a variety of yummy things. This place is tucked in the back of a weird mall sort of building. We weren't sure how it worked or what to expect. We stepped into an area with a counter and a HUGE menu written on a chalkboard wall. It was confusing-- like too many different options, in varying sizes, but all sort of the same. We ordered a ridiculous amount of food for 2 people: clam strips, scallops, shrimp cocktail, crab balls and a lobster roll. The kitchen area is right behind the counter where we ordered so it was easy to see that they were busy. There seemed to be a lot of to-go and takeout orders. There also seemed to be an excessive number of people in a small area and the person who took our order didn't really seem to know what she was doing. She had to ask someone cooking how to add a couple of the things we wanted to our order via the register. No big deal. Then we sat in their dining room, adjacent to the ordering/kitchen space. There was some soccer game on the tv in the corner and the volume was turned WAYYYYYYY up. It was annoying enough until the game ended and we got to hear the same loop of music and information over and over again, while we waited 30 minutes for our food, before someone in the kitchen changed the channel. The food was exactly what we expected from what we ordered and we enjoyed it all. It was a little pricey, but that was also expected, given the location. I see that others have said the dining room was dirty. We did not experience that. My look into the kitchen also found it to be up to cleanliness standards. read more

I went twice with my daughter. Each time she got the cold lobster roll and I got the soft shell crab sandwich. She loved her lobster roll, and rated it as being as good as any she's had. The soft shell crab is tasty too! Previously frozen (it wasn't in season, so that was to be expected), but not grainy on the inside so I'd say it's as good as you could ask for. For my taste, the roll is too thick and overpowers the crab - but it was soft and fresh. Second day I actually just ordered the crab (not as a sandwich). I thought the prices were very reasonable. Yummy place!! I really wanted to get a warm lobster roll (hard to find since they're usually the cold kind) and I wasn't let down. Great portion but definitely pricey. To be expected with lobster though so I didn't mind - this was a nice treat. Lobster is quite rich to me, so this whole roll is a lot. I got cornbread on the side and it was delicious. The coleslaw was great too. I would definitely come back here for other items on the menu too. I haven't been to Bethany Beach for years, so not sure when I'd return. Walked up, ordered food, and they had it out pretty quickly on both my visits. I had the lobster roll (cold) which was AMAZING. My second visit I had the shrimp po boy which also was delicious (the shrimp on it were huge!!!) but the lobster was my favorite. This place is SO on the DL. It's also hidden AF. To find it, I first went to the DB's Fries on the corner of Garfield & N. Atlantic and was like... "Yo... where this B, B at? Soft luscious bread toasted on the grill with that sort of split top roll sort of look. The lobster was a generous amount in each of the rolls and it was very well cooked. The fries were piled REAL HIGH and they get extra extra points for having vast amounts of Old Bay and malt vinegar right there #SoBeach. The crab balls were like little rolled crab cakes. Generous amounts of crab, little filler, and a real seriously good flavor to the whole... ball. It was quite delicious. Service was friendly! And another set of bonus points for having birch beer! I loves me some birch beer. I was so impressed with the offerings that I just had to thank (what seemed to be the owner) as we left. He was pretty much the only guy in the establishment that was of an age where you would own a business. Most of the workers were pretty young. He made sure to tell me that they make all their food in house. I told him straight up, "You can taste it! You can taste the freshness." Real nice guy. Everything was fried and nuked anyway (besides the cole slaw), so what's not to love about fried food? The chicken tenders were just like any other fried chicken tenders (although the ranch was pretty good!) and loved that the fries were made out of fresh potatoes and not the frozen stuff (although I've never met a fry I didn't like). I had ordered lobster roll for the first time as a treat for the July 4 weekend and it smelled absolutely phenomenal. I was really disappointed when I bit into a dry, lukewarm lobster roll. Pairing it with the coleslaw helped to increase the flavor of the roll but the coleslaw was also too dry for my liking.
