I was craving fried clams. They are so hard to find! The ordering was confusing. 10 Oz,12 Oz, platter??? Who knows. I decided to get the biggest platter and share with my husband. Maybe we were looking at the wrong places but we had a hard time finding boardwalk style food, so this place was perfect. I got the crab cake which came with fries and coleslaw. I had a good experience at DB fries, the food was good, the fries were yummy, we got our food quick + it was pretty affordable! Me and my friends went to DB fries around 4pm on a Tuesday. There was no wait and our food came out pretty quickly. We had previously went around 8:30 pm and they were out of everything... make sure you go early! So it was our first time at Bethany beach. We made just an hour before the storm really start. We spent sometime at beach and it's time to grab something to eat. We walked around and couldnot fine something - with COVID, not really a lot of choices...until we see the DB at the corner spot. You really can't go wrong with an order of Lobster Roll w/fries on the side! The chunks of lobster was pretty legit and the buttered roll was a good combination with the lobster. It is a little pricey for a small to decent sized lobster roll ($19), but it's not like you're going to eat it super often! I recommend this spot if you're in the area. My husband got the coconut shrimp-he said they were really good but also a tad overcooked. You'd never expect it but DB somehow has the best fried oysters in the Bethany/Rehoboth area. They're fresh, juicy and perfectly fried. Toss them in a roll packed with tartar sauce and lettuce and you've got one heck of a po'boy. The fries are a plus too. The lobster roll is apparently one of the best sellers but the meat isn't totally fresh (it comes pre-picked) and the lobster is somewhat shredded instead of chunked. This place is exactly what you want for a beach-side establishment. The food is good, and the prices are fair unlike those of some of their neighbors on the boardwalk. We came here twice in one day to get food to bring back to the beach. We got to try their fried clam strips, fries, and crab cake sandwich and really enjoyed all three. The fries were yummy, the clam strips were fried to crispy perfection, and the crab cake was fresh and had generous amounts of crab. What more can you ask for? DB also has a sit-down restaurant a little bit farther down the road.
