Excellent experience here a few nights ago. The dining room is lovely, the food delicious. I especially enjoyed my cocktail (Long and Happy Life) and my main dish, the scallops. Thanks to my server, Justin, whose warmth and professionalism made dining here special and - I hope - an experience to repeat.

Decided to start out our family beach week with Shorebreak, a first time for us despite the fact that we've been going to Rehoboth for years. So glad we did! What a great meal. We had made a reservation for our party of seven and were promptly seated and taken care of. The impressive cocktail list lives up to the reputation. I really enjoyed my shrimp and grits - what a feast! The service was excellent, although there was a wait for our entrees - to be expected, though, because it's a busy summer night during the dinner rush. We sat on the covered outdoor patio, and it was a hot night - next time we are eating inside. Dessert offerings looked good although we will have to enjoy those next time. Great time - what a wonderful meal! Thanks so much!

This place continues to be my favorite place for dinner. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend reservations especially during peak season. Stefano was our server this evening and he was excellent. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We started with the hummus which was fantastic. I had the rockfish special .. wow! The flavors were *chef's kiss.* We ordered dessert and the homemade chocolate torte was delish. My oldest practically consumed the entire thing. Drinks and food came out in a timely manner. Very chill vibes with an upscale touch.

Excellent experience. Beginning with the Beautiful, soft candle light glow, lively bar, and Christmas decor touches. Our waiter was very kind and helpful. I enjoyed the app sized salad with blue cheese crumbles, greens mix, pears, and a maple dressing. It was a large sized and perfect flavor combo. My entree was the surf and turf scallops with short ribs and risotto. This was absolutely incredible and I highly recommend. We ended our meal with the creme brulee cheesecake . This might be my new favorite spot in Rehoboth!

My wife and I went here for dinner Saturday night and we loved the new and modern looking restaurant(magnificent ambiance) service was pretty fast and definitely friendly. We had 2 cocktails each, both well balanced. The food don't even get me started, it was hands down the best octopus I have ever had in my life and I try it everywhere I go if it is on the menu, very fresh and tender with just the right amount of char. My wife had the mussels in tomato and chorizo broth. She said it was perfectly spicy and flavorful. The mushroom risotto was spot on.

Delicious dinner. We had the Brussels sprout appetizer, the octopus, the spicy shrimp, the deviled eggs, and the brie naan to start. The scallops and chicken wings were incredible for the main. The service was also great but the bar service was a tad slow. Will be returning!

A superb happy hour deal and the food was amazing! We couldn't even decide which of the items we had we enjoyed the most: the octopus, the flatbread, the octopus and the wings. And price difference during happy hour still shocks me. The only item I would probably not order again would be the fish tacos. Everything else superseded expectations. Located just a few blocks from the beach, I'd recommend this Happy Hour to anyone staying in the area!

A great evening at Shorebreak , 5 of us had a nice dinner. 2 had pork chops which they said were wonderful as was the mushroom risotto that accompanied. One had a burger, also excellent, and 2 had the Squid ink pasta with shellfish. It was very good as usual, but there was some issue with the pasta clumping together and that wasn't good, it wasn't all the pasta, but enough to make me mention it. The flavor was great, the shrimp and mussel were great, etc. but there was definite an issue with the pasta in places, not all of it. The Shore tiny is outstanding!,, Service overall very good, we will be back.

Grabbed a last minute reservation here on a busy Saturday after other plans fell through and I'm so glad the other plans fell through! Very chill ambiance, amazing service and the food was incredible. Cocktails were really great too. There was a summer salad with fresh berries that was delightful. I had the halibut special and it was perfectly cooked with lots of flavor. My husband had the miso honey salmon and again, so so so flavorful. We capped it off with. Flourless chocolate cake with caramel and a hint of chipotle pepper. It was heavenly. This restaurant had a lot of gluten free options and was very accommodating. Don't wait in line at the oyster house, come here instead!!!!

Great location with consistently delicious food. The Sazerac I ordered was classic and the best I've had! The special dish of the night was the pan fried halibut cooked perfectly and paired with fingerling potatoes and a fresh corn salad. Service by Cortland was great!!! He was knowledgeable and attentive. We will definitely return on our next trip.

First time at Shorebreak. Our meals were amazing and so was my drink, Lavender Dreams. Beautiful ambiance. I had the veggie bowl with shrimp and my husband had the salmon with mash potatoes and Brussels. We had a side order of fries - shoe string made in house. Fantastic! Thank you tCarol, our server who was amazing - so kind, attentive and friendly. This is going on the list as one of our favorite restaurants to visit when we are in Rehoboth.

    Jesse is a great bartender!

Shorebreak is better than ever. The new owners have elevated the menu as well as the cocktails. We love all of the very friendly, very efficient staff. Our favorite spot in RB!

Mussels at Shorebreak are the best!

Food, service, and ambiance were all perfect. Nice location and friendly patrons making for a fun experience.

Ask the Community - Shorebreak Lodge

Do you have any dinner specials on Wednesday?

We have a live jazz duo performing every Wednesday through April 29, 2026. Tuesdays are Tapas and Thursdays are Half Pour Cocktails through April 30, 1026.

What does the children's menu look like?

This is a restaurant where adults frequent, not families with young children. As such I don't believe there is a children's menu, sorry.

I am trying to make reservations for Wednesday 8/18 but I am not having much success The message says use Yelp or open table but those sites only take 6 people or less. No…

I'd keep trying to call for a party of more that 6. I believe they don't open until after 5, so try calling between 4-6. Hope it works out! And enjoy!

Says you serve lunch but no lunch menu on site. I'd love to see lunch menu?

Hi the lunch menu is posted on Yelp. Click on menu for all menus! Thanks

Hi! The restaurant's website says the tasting menu is available Sunday through Friday; however, that option does not appear when making an online reservation. Is the tasting menu available on Friday? Thank you!

Yes we are serving the tasting menu tomorrow!

Do they have a specific childrens menu?

Our children’s menu is a verbal, currently it’s choice of: hamburger or chicken tenders with side of fries, or pasta with butter sauce shaved Parmesan.

How is the Happy hour during the week in March?

Happy hour starts at 4. All menu items are high quality options taken from our core dinner menu. $5 wines by the glass, $3 beers $5 spirits! Great vibe and ambiance as well!

Introduction on Dewey Beach trip:…read more Representing 2023, W is for Woody's. In September 2023, I was on a group beach trip at a house in Dewey Beach a close walk to Woody's. I stayed for 3 nights. The timing of this trip ended up being good for three reasons: 1. Three weeks earlier I had surgery for cancer on Tuesday, 8/15/23. I was not aloud to go in pool, beach, or bathtub for exactly 3 weeks. My community pool's last day for the season was Labor Day Monday, 9/4/23 (2 weeks 6 days after my surgery), which kind of sucked because that kissed going to my community pool the rest of the season or any other pool parties. About a week earlier, my friend convinced me to go on the trip saying there was availability in the house during the Monday to Friday part. Ultimately, I decided to take off work on that Tuesday and worked from the house on Wednesday, but I had a great time on the trip that I decided to extend to Thursday doing the same working at the house. And I was able to fully enjoy the beach on Tuesday, 9/5 exactly 3 weeks later with no issues. As well as the other 2 days to lesser extent as I had work too. 2. DC/Maryland was experiencing an intense September heat wave with temperatures in the upper 90's; so it was great timing to escape to the beach where temps there were still pretty hot as high as low 90's. 3. Most importantly, I met my girlfriend of now 2 years on this trip! We were friends for several months, but then dating started in February 2024. Experience with Woody's: If I hadn't extended my trip into Thursday, I wouldn't have tried Woody's. I was tired of leftovers after Tuesday & Wednesday night; I decided to go to Woody's for dinner. I called in the order, walked over didn't have to wait long, and took back. Friends looked a little jealous. I got the crab cake sandwich with fries. It was an amazing crab cake with great fries. It certainly wasn't a cheap dinner, but it was worth it for a good amount of crab cake with a high quality.

Lets begin with the atmosphere because it was delightful. Its a small, intimate space where the spirit of a speakeasy shines through easily. We went for drinks and apps and I gotta say we will be coming back for dinner for sure me and my wife. How about the food and drink? Well, any of y'all who follow me know I'm not a huge drinker, but I did try the Oolong Hot Toddy and was extremely happy! Warm, the sochu and tea mix so well together, a nice garnish of candied ginger and lemon makes the presentation of this delightful little libation. (Ha, a pun!) Now, the food. Cheese board was great but, thats cheese anyone can assemble a cheese board. No, my credit goes to the crab dip and the calamari. Both dishes were done perfectly, not too greasy, beautifully crunchy calamari and supremely flavorful crab dip. Overall an easy 5, I'd rate 6 if I could.

Make reservations as this is a small space. Very comfortable seating. Lots of decor that again fits the space. Great music playing as well. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and then escorted back into the speakeasy which has its own door. Once inside, we were greeted and introduced to the two servers who worked together all evening. They were very attentive and friendly. They made the visit enjoyable. The menu lights up... literally. Super fun to pick from the numerous drink and food options. For a speakeasy, you will be surprised at how many different options there are. The prices are beyond reasonable for the craft cocktails and amazing food. Started off with cocktails (first round) - Veruca Salt (highly recommend due to its spicy foam & deliciousness), Purple Butterfly (yum), The Ultimate Dirty Martini (very pungent), and The Smoked Cherry (nice presentation/event - also tasty). All of these were delicious and made well. Second round was The Night Shift and a Brown Butter Old Fashioned and again, both delightful. Dessert round was Creme Brûlée Espresso Martini (highly recommend - great presentation with a small mallet that cracks the brûlée on top & absolutely amazing - this is a sweet drink so loom as a dessert option), Espresso Martini (hazelnut flavor and good), and a Carijilo. All items from the bar were super tasty and well made. This is a craft drink place and the quality and attention to details are spot on for the speakeasy vibe. Not only are the drinks superb, but the food is also very well made and very affordable. We started with the cheese tower which is a great option for a group to enjoy. We also ordered the calamari which came with the most delicious horseradish dipping sauce, and lamb lollipops (4 per order). All of this was delicious. Then, tried the seafood bisque, French onion soup, Pumpkin/Crab/Mushroom Soup, and Seared Sea Scallops. The soups were super filling and all had a terrific flavor profile. The scallops were served on risotto and this was great. Seriously, the food is amazing. Not what you normally would find in a speakeasy. They even had dessert options (we had drinks instead). This was a lovely experience. Just overall fantastic and a great surprise hidden in a beach town. For sure make reservations. If visiting for the week, just go ahead and pick two nights to visit so you can try all of the things. Well done. Looking forward to another visit.

After many a weekend spent and many a restaurant tried we welcomed new eats at The Blue Hen. This menu is intriguing- small, tight but inventive- we were so excited to eat here! Was wonderful in having a table ready when we arrived for at-will, no reserve seating at about 7pm. Quiet corner. Promptly greeted by our server. She was gracious, so nice, and helpful our whole dining time. We ordered readily, in Mom's overwhelming hunger, lolol. Ordered the Lobster Toast and the Yellow Tomato Gazpacho, as starters. Amazingly accommodating on our order of this gorgeous gazpacho. We were given 2 bowls to split this tomato beauty. A few spoons of smooth & sweet, acidic, flavorful, gripping. Could have ordered more! The Lobster Toast- Accompanied by a concoction of radish, sesame, bitter-sweet....stunning bites in this salad. Unfamiliar but pronounced in the combination. Well done. The lobster- Absent. Wished for an open faced variety. Or at least a dish that advocates for lobster. Charge more. Bigger brioche. Pronounce those beautiful lobster bites in presentation. The lobster as served, was not the star. Ok, a moment for cocktails though- Whoa. Killer kill. The Church Girl Martini. Blessed be in evil, haha This Girl was too tasty in being that strong. So good in flavor, unbeknownst combos. A definite Watch Yourself and watch out for!! Entrees.....well when ordering was told the Sea Bream was out- disappointed on that. The entree menu is small, so should keep available. And when we entered the restaurant it was busier after we sat....so why out of a primary fish already?? So decided ahead- Mom had the Burger and I had the Crab Cake Sandwich. The burger- smashed, but still big patties. A perfect medium. Good overall. The bacon jam was an ask on the side. The bacons were really spicy lardons and were delicious. My crab cake sandwich. Hmmm. You are a sandwich. For the pricing, it's not there. Ate the Lumps, but the rest of the sandwich should I say was in the Dumps? Nothing to be said of standout. Would recommend putting this crab cake as a stand alone entree with accompaniment. Forget the bun. Overall food gets a 3.75. Drinks, environment and service a 4. The Blue Hen is not Spent. But also is not the Top Chicken.

One of the bartenders near the bathrooms & main stage provided very sub par service, requiring me to repeat my order multiple times and caused a very frustrating experience for the rest of the night. The frustrating portion of this experience was how my credit card was charged over $400 several hours after we had left the bar. I had ordered two drinks totaling just under $20 (including a tip). I was then charged $7.50 and $396, in two different transactions, multiple hours after leaving the bar. Conveniently, this was after the bar had closed for the evening so there was no one to contact about this egregious mistake. It's one thing to mistakenly charge a credit card but it's another thing to feel targeted for a ridiculous amount several hours after we had left the bar and after the bar closed. I disputed the charges with my credit card but I will never be able to dispute having a good time at this establishment. I will never return.
