Family members have been eating at the Summer House for a while, enjoying their grilled cheese and soup combinations. I finally was able to try it last week. Over the course of a few days, they highlighted cuisine from different countries, and we had dinner when they featured Brazil (my husband is Brazilian). We ordered everything off of the (limited) menu, and all the dishes were delicious! We gobbled up the appetizers before I could take a picture, they were perfect for sharing. Piri Piri chicken was nicely spicy, the seafood in my mouqueca was perfectly cooked, and the steaks were tender and tasty. Everything but the seafood stew came with traditional Brazilian sides: rice, beans, and collards. Four of us shared the giant slice of cake. Yum yum. Highly recommend. Now I need to return and try their regular menu.

Fantastic service and delicious food. The place is beautiful with a great outdoor patio with a very nice fountain in the center of it. I tried a crab cake sandwich and some lobster and corn empanadas. Both were well made and quite delicious. Other members of my party had some tuna tartar and Oysters Rockefeller that were both really delicious. We mostly had drinks and a great time enjoying the company of family members and a friend who we hadn't seen in a few years. This place serves really well designed dishes.

Tonight I decided to try the new Sunday Special which is a $20 Steak Frites that comes with a choice of 3 different sauces; I choose the peppercorn sauce! Yum! The 12 oz steak was cooked to a medium rare perfection and fries were crispy! Sundays are ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR too! 25% off all appetizers (did not order) and drink specials including 50% off all Specialty Martinis! Chose a pumpkin espresso! When I asked for my bill, Matt (bartender) asked if I wanted vanilla or chocolate sundae! I told him I didn't order one. He responded that it's part of the $20 Sunday Special. I asked to see the menu to add one or two toppings and he said you GET THEM ALL on the side! Ugh! I received it just to be polite and ate a little, not all. Hated to waste all those toppings but that's how it is served (see picture). Great food and service! Great to watch the games too at the long bar!

Friendly, can be casual or kind of dressy, this long-standing institution of the Rehoboth dining scene keeps delivering good food and fun times. Over the years, they have gone through a few changes, but some reliable favorites still bring in the locals and the visitors alike. Mondays, famous for year-round burger day deal get busy. Luckily, the deal is all day, so the inside scoop is to go in the in-between hours. In addition to beef, they offer turkey, salmon, and a chickpea veggie burger. The beef choice might be a bit less massive than my memory tells me. Anyhow, still a good deal. Tuesdays are prime rib special! The huge slab accompanied by amazing potatoes, green beans, two sauces is a crowd pleaser. Late night menu, friendly and long time waitstaff and barkeeps to greet you, keep the place hopping. Now part of the Nalu food group, regular diners earn points. A decent selection of beers on draft.

A really delicious and fun experience-- we went for happy hour on Tuesday and stayed to have the prime rib special which comes with potatoes and green beans ($20). Our server was Maxine- not only was she fast, attentive, and thorough, but she has the best personality/ sense of humor!! After dinner we went to the newer area (Libations) which is a more intimate and moody area in the back of the building- more of a speakeasy atmosphere --where we had incredible creations from the bartender (espresso martinis, a creme brûlée martini and a drink which came complete with smoke (?)

Indoor and outdoor seating with a full bar. Waited about 10 minutes for a party of 6 on a Saturday, off season. Calamari was breaded a little heavy but good flavor. The stuffed flounder was the best thing our table ordered. Flaky fish and such flavorful crab and sauce. The mashed potatoes are amazing. Don't burn your mouth- piping hot from the oven. The crab cakes are meaty and not a lot of filler. The seafood soup is very rich, but not too many chunks of crab which was a bummer. The Alfredo was also very rich but nothing special. Service was fine, nothing to call out but they were easily accommodating with a toddler seat

Omg best pot pie ever! And a fantastic happy hour :) My husband and I stopped in for a quick Christmas lunch while shopping in Rehoboth. He ordered the lobster pot pie and I had chicken white chili and a salad. Everything was amazing! We were super impressed with the chili and were trying to reconstruct the recipe as we ate. But then the pot pie arrived. And holy cow! From the presentation to the chunks of lobster ... best ever! Oh - and half price martinis ... great way to start the season!

Beautifully located by the Rehoboth beach in Delaware. The menu was very selective from seafood to burgers. I decided on the Tuna Carpaccio, the lobster empanadas were delicious. Crab Cake Sandwich was just that -sometimes when you order crab cakes you get a breadcrumbs cake and no crab. This sandwich was packed with crab yummy. Oyster Rockefeller-Spinach, Parmesan, bread crumbs, onion, bacon and white wine my sister ordered this sorry I didn't get to taste but it looked delicious. Then we had refreshing summer pineapple martini or pomegranate very good selections . Our server Josh I think his name was very attentive and pleasant. It was very hot this day but for a while umbrellas gave us some pretty good shade and breeze. The water fountain with the water flowing was so calming made you feel relaxed . Definitely will come back if back to Rehoboth Delaware.

We tried the new libations room this week! The ambience and vibes are very cool and unique. I enjoyed the crème brûlée martini and the butterfly martini both were excellent and sweet. There are drink styles for every type of taste, including NA. We also returned for dinner the following night. My husband and I both got the lobster roll , mine with the seafood bisque and my husband had his with fries. The lobster roll was probably one of our favorite meals of the vacation , service was excellent as well.

Party of 4 for Wednesday special soup & sandwich plus 1/2 martini night we've really enjoyed this special no wait in mid March but we arrived before 5:30 well worth the $12 for special and who doesn't like $8 martini

    That's a mouthful of lobster

There we were, going to do a little Christmas shopping on Rehoboth beach. Suddenly, we heard "summer" house is calling. Happy hour for 6 hours....half price martinis...yes please thank you . Plus on Thursday's half price lobster and chicken pot pies. Just look at the slab of lobster. You owe it to yourself to check it out.

I think this is the only place in town that has a half price burger deal year around (Mondays, btw); Everyone else stops the deal during the summer season. .... But it's not that the burgers are half price. They're excellent burgers, they're large burgers, the weight staff is fantastic, the food is excellent. That's why it gets 5 stars. It's worth it.

Had the chicken pot pie today...wouldn't order it again!! Didn't like the phyllo crust or the broccoli and it was dry and tasteless.

A special thank you to Peter "Pan" for making our night so memorable. Not only were the cocktails delicious, but watching him craft those amazing bourbon creations was an experience in itself. We will definitely be taking an Uber next time so we can fully indulge in even more of those exceptional bourbon cocktails! Thank you for a wonderful evening. We can't wait to come back!

**in response to the owners comment, we never met you. We didn't send food back nor did we request…read morenew food, and you, nor anyone else EVER brought me any additional drink on the house. I only had the one I paid for. There's no need to lie, bad days happen. This is not a speakeasy, this is a restaurant cosplaying as a speakeasy. That may be a bit harsh, it's a speakeasy in training. Sure, it's got all of the speakeasy decor, blackout curtains over the windows and doors, and a big selection of pedestrian liquor but it's not quite there. We went in on an early evening on Wed and there were maybe 5 other patrons in there. Our waitress was nice and brought us water to the high top. She brought us two food menus, and a specials menu. I asked for a bourbon list and she brought it; no prices on the list. Annoying. On the specials menu there was a small section of manager recommended drinks and one was a Willet. The way it was written was confusing because it said it was both a 4 year and 14 year for $52, so I asked for clarification on the age statement. She took the menu to the barkeep, who confirmed it was a 14 year so I said yes I'll have that. A drink was brought to me, but I could tell from the taste that it was not what I ordered. I asked the waitress for the bottle, she asked the guy behind the bar for the bottle and he pulled down a willet pot still bottle (pot still is the entry level Willet and at best a 5 dollar pour, no where near what I asked for). I told her that I was given the wrong drink, then she approached the bar and between her, and the male and female bartenders they had a weird back and forth conversation. Then, finally they pulled down the bottle that I asked for, that was advertised, and gave me a pour of it. I asked to see the bottle and the waitress brought it over but held it instead of putting it on the table (it was a 13 year Willet, Paper Trail). As we were about to order we were told that they reset the menu the very day before, with the focus of putting more love and care into the food. Feeling good about that, we ordered the French quarter catfish and the bourbon braised short ribs. The corn that came with the short ribs tasted straight out of a store bought steamable pouch, and the "ribs" weren't ribs at all, just sliced meat. The only redeemable thing about the catfish dish was the aioli; the rice had no flavor, the corn was cold and hard, and the catfish was mostly breading. We both took a few bites and resigned. I have been to many speakeasies around the US, and there are common themes: a much better selection of liquor; 95% of the bourbon were low tier bottles you can find in any liquor store for around $50. Also, when customers ask for the bottle, it isn't because we plan to steal it or drink from it, its because we're genuinely interested in the information on the labels. The quickest way to get people to stop spending money is to make them feel as if they can't be trusted touching a bottle. Perhaps it was an off day for the staff and this wasn't a typical experience, but I won't go back.
