Fav dish here was the seafood quesadilla which was usually very good though occasionally it seemed like the cheese was different in a negative way . It's no longer on the menu which is disappointing . My husbands fave is the chicken cheesesteak which is large and flavorful read more

Busy Friday night in a noisy environment. We were seated right away. The have at least 7 TVs and all had a different sports showing. So great for watching your games. I ordered a cup of the soup of the day, mushroom, when it arrived it could have been a bit warmer in temperature but the amount of salt in it was high. I also had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken added. I asked for the chicken to be well done it was cooked but only lightly grilled on one side? The salad amount was plentiful but again it was so salty tasting. Yes I know, Caesar dressing can be salty but this was over the top and I like salt. I had to rinse off the chicken breast when I brought it home for the puppies. Cook needs to back off on that one seasoning! The most concerning issue was a DJ setting up his equipment at an Exit door. This left one door at the front accessible. Scary! TIP: they really live up to their name! read more

I'm keeping the 4 stars, BUT last night was the first time in our regular experience going to Summer Salts over the last 10+ years. I decided to try a burger for the Thursday night special. I've never had hamburger here, but as I've said many times, everything here usually is great; however last night was a big disappointment with the Black & Bleu Burger. Burger itself had no flavor, dry and hardly any blue cheese on top which resulted in having that "bite" you'd expect from the Blue Cheese. The sandwich was served with ketchup which for this type of burger is almost sacrilege. Once I saw that I asked for blue cheese dressing to use as the condiment. I would have needed 2 little cups as I used the full cup I received and just didn't help the dryness or flavor. But, the addition of the sweet potato fries were heavenly. Just like "candy". That was my joy for the meal and my dessert. Hubby got his usual chicken sandwich and I looked at it with envy. read more

The giant cut out of Trump/Vance was distasteful and offensive. The owners are entitled to their own (racist/misogynistic) political beliefs but should know that decor makes half the population lose their appetite. Will not return. read more

The food here was okay to subpar. But as I was reading several other reviews, it appears that this restaurant's clientele is specific. I was made uncomfortable with all the MAGA talk by the drunks sitting at the bar, including the guy serving. Had I known this ahead of time, it would've been beneficial. At one point I thought there was going to some kind of physical altercation that was going to take place. But didn't stay long enough to find out. Literally never heard of this place before, it's actually located behind sea colony so it isn't far at all. We decided to try it the other night for a light dinner before seeing BARBIE. We got the Grilled Chicken Club and Southwest Burger. I will say the southwest seasoning in the burger was delicious. They also cooked the burger to a perfect medium. For sides we did the coleslaw and pasta salad. My overall assessment was that it's fine. The food didn't come looking stellar but tasted fine. Pasta salad isn't your traditional pasta salad. The coleslaw was pretty good and creamy. They didn't have a super long wait time for carry out which was ideal for the beach dinner rush. We ordered a Crabby Burger and a Chicken Cheese Steak. The portions are big and the food was delicious. The servers were kind and attentive. It is definitely a place all the locals went since I went during off season. Overall a great experience other than the food coming out a little slower. Would definitely go back again! read more

3.475 That was the average score from 4 diners... I am kindly rounding up because of the superbly friendly service from our Nashville based college server and also tempered expectations in general. Put another way, this is a solidly average meal but probably above average for Bethany Beach. Big portions but short on original flavor. The cream of crab soup scored 3 stars because it was mostly cream. Our server recommended the seafood quesadilla and it did not disappoint- filled with scallops, shrimp, and fish. Pretty tasty. The chili cheese burger and (yummy) fries scored 3.7 with a lack of flavor. "An average burger," said our 16 year old. Our other 16 year old had the chicken pasta Alfredo (massive portion) but also concurred that it could have used more pizazz. As for me, I had the mahi mahi tacos which were disappointing. They need some onion or garlic or some cilantro or something remotely ethnic in there to give it some taste. And, they arrived in flour tortillas despite being advertised with corn tortillas (c'mon chef - there is a big difference). So....go in with eyes wide open and you should be fine. Amazing cuisine it is not. But it's a solid beach restauarant -- and maybe one of the better options around. read more

This was actually one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in my life. For being such a small place, the service was unbelievably slow, and bad at that, and the food quality didn't even make up for the wait. There were four of us, and all of us had a problem with our food... which has never happened before might I add. If I could rate this place a negative star I would. We were greeted by the hostess who didn't seem very happy to be there.. she seated us at the window along with a hoard of flys that were all over the table, windows, ceiling, etc. I had to use the bathroom when I got there. It was hot as hell in there like a sauna. Before using it, I checked for toilet paper- they were out. I told our waitress, who was happy I told her but then I checked two more times throughout the night and they never replaced it. I resorted to using paper towels. We tried to order zucchini fries which was what attracted my friend to the place. They were out, of course. In my opinion, the only redeeming part of the night was the cream of crab soup which was really fantastic. Pay the extra $2 for a bowl and not a cup. The cup is way too small for the price, but the bowl portion to price made more sense. I ordered a chicken rice bowl. Chicken was fresh, everything else was pretty bland. Nothing special. I could have gone to chipotle for half the price and been happier. My boyfriend ordered the chicken chesapeake which was really good. The group wanted me to rate this 3 stars since they enjoyed their food but I don't believe it deserves 3. We all agreed we wouldn't go back. I posted this almost two weeks ago. Don't understand how it was removed. I go out to eat for a relaxing environment and good food. We met a group there for our first time. Food was very good and reasonable, two crab cakes special with two sides. But for me it was not relaxing looking at the Trump/Vance full size cut outs all evening. Same group went back this past Friday. With reluctance I went as the food was good. I did not see the Trump/Vance cutouts this time but sat with Newsmax in my face all evening. As a business if you choose to cater to a certain clientele it is your prerogative. As a consumer I can choose not to spend my money at an establishment that puts their politics in your face. And this second visit entrees came with only one side not two like two weeks prior. Guess those cutouts are affecting your bottom line. read more

We stumbled upon Summer Salts while looking for a quick and easy lunch. There was only one server (who was also the bartender) plus the hostess (who ran food) and bus boy. The chef also brought some of our food. I would say that they absolutely nailed it although short staffed. As for the food, everything was very tasty and fresh. My husband said he thinks this was the best crab cake sandwich of the vacation. We're definitely keeping this place on our list of vacation places to hit up yearly. read more

Really high hopes for this place, but it didn't quite deliver. I ordered dinner for 4 people online and the best thing I can say for this restaurant was that everything was ready at the promised time. I got a cup of the cream of crab soup-which was fine. Very heavy. Decent amount of crab meat. Then I got the surf and turf teriyaki bowl. I love getting bowls at Asian fast casual style restaurants, but this was not it. It was more "Tex-Mex" style with shredded cheese and pico de gallo. But the part I really didn't love was that I got a container of soy sauce instead of the stated teriyaki. It didn't use all of it, but it just made the dish a mess. Soy sauce and cheese? The steak and shrimp were good portion sizes, but lacked flavor. I left a third of it in it's to go container and threw it away. My husband got the southwest chicken salad and enjoyed it. He gave me a piece of chicken and I would agree he got the better dinner out of the two of us. Not sure I'd go back at this point. read more

We used to come to this place every year. Tonight it will be our last time buying food. I picked up our very cold food 30 minutes after we were asked: a burger that was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside with cheese that was far to be melted in the patty. Not to mention the fries that were not appealing at all. The crab creamy soup was pure cornstarch/flour (see the picture). It was so thick and inedible. My wife, brother-in-law and I stopped in the other day for lunch while shopping around the area. We are 10 year residents in the area closer to Fenwick. This was our 1st time experiencing this place and what an absolute delight. We just loved the place. The food was generous and so very tasty. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. And last but not least. April was as pleasant and gracious as anyone could possibly be. We will definitely be frequenting this restaurant in the future. What a great find! read more

I would honestly give this place between 2.5 and 3 stars. Honestly was not my favorite place. The food was very "okay" The French onion soup was a little disappointing, a good French onion will be filled to the top with the cheese dripping over the sides. I also felt it tasted like the soup was loaded with pepper. The burger was just an average burger, honestly it tasted like a burger you would get from an diner in New Jersey. The service was good and friendly, personally I probably would not come back here. But it's an nice environment and I encourage people to give it a try. read more

Right when it came to the table, I noticed the sloppy pieces of boiled chicken on top of dry strands of pasta. There was no sauce to be seen despite the "light creole sauce" mentioned on the menu. It was more of a plain buttered noodle with no seasoning or heat. The best part was the Caesar salad that accompanied the meal. I also got the crab soup. The crab flavor was alright but was more on the thick, gloopy side. It seemed like the base for the crab dip as well. I would suggest getting a burger or sandwich instead. Convenient location with lots of parking and offering a mid-sized indoor dining area with a bar but very limited outdoor seating. The food was absolutely amazing! They offered a good selection of beer and in as far as the food the tuna poke bowl was super fresh, the mahi tacos were stuffed and flavorful and the santa fe wrap was a burst of flavor. The side of coleslaw was crunchy and not soggy with mayo like most places serve - the only missing ingredient would be a bit of Old Bay seasoning. I would have given the 5 stars but the service was absent at times considering that at the time we visited it was slow. I would recommend trying this place and I certainly will visit again when I am in the area again. read more

We just arrived in town tonight and were not sure where to go. We stumbled across Summer Salts and were we glad we did. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waiter (we later learned he was John the owner) was very helpful with suggestions and answered all of our questions- including recommendations of other eateries in the area. The seafood quesadilla was loaded with shrimp, scallops and crab. It oozed cheese. It was large enough that half of it came home. The shrimp scampi with linguine was delicious. There were 12 good sized shrimp to go along with the pasta and that scrumptious sauce. Again, a great value as it will definitely be another meal. My companions enjoyed the beer as well. 5 stars based on quality, quantity and value, atmosphere was pleasant and not loud, I will definitely go back and this will be a recommendation when folks ask where should they go when in town. French onion was AMAZING. Cream of crab was LOADED with crab meat chunks and had such a great taste but unfortunately just luke warm. That was the ONLY let down. Ahi tuna was a simplistic spin but delish and fresh! Seafood quesadillas were OVERFLOWING with shrimp, crab and scallops. We were at south Bethany beach for couple of nights and wanted to get some Seafood and most of the restaurants were closed at 9.30 pm or about to close , found this on Yelp and wanted to give it a try. Restaurant was in a strip mall and as we entered we were greeted and got a nice table. Ambience was really good , amazing decor and nice host and waitress. Coming to drinks we had a bad experience with a drink/draft beer and moved to a bottled beer. But the waitress took care of the beer and listened to us politely !! Coming to the food,mahi bites are must try !! We ordered well done and was cooked to perfection . Wings were awesome too. Then we ordered chicken fajita and one of the best fajitas ordered , seasoning was perfectly Next time when I visit the beach that area this will be a must stop for me !! read more
