Food was fine. We called ahead for carry out which was prepared in a timely manner. Had we walked in to sit down we would have walked right out. The giant cut out of Trump/Vance was distasteful and offensive. The owners are entitled to their own (racist/misogynistic) political beliefs but should know that decor makes half the population lose their appetite. Will not return.

Ahi tuna wrap was delicious! Buffalo chicken sandwich was great! Crab cake sandwich tasty! French fries were amazing! Service good. Atmosphere was just fine but no music. We were in and out quickly and all pleased with our meals!

Literally never heard of this place before, it's actually located behind sea colony so it isn't far at all. We decided to try it the other night for a light dinner before seeing BARBIE. We got the Grilled Chicken Club and Southwest Burger. I will say the southwest seasoning in the burger was delicious. They also cooked the burger to a perfect medium. For sides we did the coleslaw and pasta salad. My overall assessment was that it's fine. The food didn't come looking stellar but tasted fine. Pasta salad isn't your traditional pasta salad. The coleslaw was pretty good and creamy. They didn't have a super long wait time for carry out which was ideal for the beach dinner rush. Definitely a good spot to get food when in a pinch!

Crabby Burger and Chicken Cheese Steak

We ordered a Crabby Burger and a Chicken Cheese Steak. The portions are big and the food was delicious. The servers were kind and attentive. It is definitely a place all the locals went since I went during off season. Overall a great experience other than the food coming out a little slower. Would definitely go back again!

3.475 That was the average score from 4 diners... I am kindly rounding up because of the superbly friendly service from our Nashville based college server and also tempered expectations in general. Put another way, this is a solidly average meal but probably above average for Bethany Beach. Big portions but short on original flavor. The cream of crab soup scored 3 stars because it was mostly cream. Our server recommended the seafood quesadilla and it did not disappoint- filled with scallops, shrimp, and fish. Pretty tasty. The chili cheese burger and (yummy) fries scored 3.7 with a lack of flavor. "An average burger," said our 16 year old. Our other 16 year old had the chicken pasta Alfredo (massive portion) but also concurred that it could have used more pizazz. As for me, I had the mahi mahi tacos which were disappointing. They need some onion or garlic or some cilantro or something remotely ethnic in there to give it some taste. And, they arrived in flour tortillas despite being advertised with corn tortillas (c'mon chef - there is a big difference). So....go in with eyes wide open and you should be fine. Amazing cuisine it is not. But it's a solid beach restauarant -- and maybe one of the better options around.

Cream of crab soup was very good

This place looks nice on the inside. We were greeted by the hostess who didn't seem very happy to be there.. she seated us at the window along with a hoard of flys that were all over the table, windows, ceiling, etc. I had to use the bathroom when I got there. It was hot as hell in there like a sauna. Before using it, I checked for toilet paper- they were out. I told our waitress, who was happy I told her but then I checked two more times throughout the night and they never replaced it. I resorted to using paper towels. We tried to order zucchini fries which was what attracted my friend to the place. They were out, of course. In my opinion, the only redeeming part of the night was the cream of crab soup which was really fantastic. Pay the extra $2 for a bowl and not a cup. The cup is way too small for the price, but the bowl portion to price made more sense. I ordered a chicken rice bowl. Chicken was fresh, everything else was pretty bland. Nothing special. I could have gone to chipotle for half the price and been happier. My boyfriend ordered the chicken chesapeake which was really good. The group wanted me to rate this 3 stars since they enjoyed their food but I don't believe it deserves 3. We all agreed we wouldn't go back. We should have known by the lack of wait time that this wasn't a good spot.

The crab dip was full of lump crab and paired well with the cracker. Wish there was more octopus in the other starter but had good antipasto like flavors. I got the double cut pork chop as my main and enjoyed. It was cooked well and I liked the balsamic on the plate, however I do wish it had some sauce to pair with. The potatoes were great and a crowd pleaser. Drinks were solid. The pear martini was fresh and sweet. Shirley temple was standard but could've been fizzier in my opinion. We split 4 desserts amongst us: key lime pie, honey cake, flourless chocolate cake, and a peach crumb cake. The honey cake is unique and had a great moist yet spongy texture. The pie was a runner up, we liked the tartness and thick crust. We do wish our server paid more attention to us especially in the beginning. We weren't offered any bread and felt like the wait for food was very long. Other tables who arrived after us had already got their entrees and desserts while we were still waiting for mains. He also didn't check up on us like he did with the surrounding tables. The young bus boy however was great and kindly helped us in between.

Review for Heidaway - Bethany Beach, DE…read more It was the weekend after Memorial Day 2025--when the beach is still buzzing, but you can actually find parking and order a drink without elbowing someone in a straw hat. We rolled into Bethany Beach to kick off our summer, minus the chaos, and Heidaway was the first place that pulled us in with a wink and a steel drum beat. Right on the edge of the boardwalk, this place has big tropical energy. Think Key West meets Delaware--palm fronds, sea breeze, and the gentle background hum of fun. The outdoor seating is shaded but still breezy, like Mother Nature knows you want SPF without sweating through your shirt. And the music? Bright, beachy, and setting the scene for "yes, we are on vacation, thank you." Service? On point. From the friendly hostess to our magical waitress who somehow knew when we needed napkins, another round, or just a smile--everyone brought their A-game. No tourist trap vibes here. Just good, solid hospitality. Cocktails: We kicked off with a Moscow Mule, chilled in a classic copper mug and strong enough to make you forget your group chat's been blowing up since Tuesday. Spicy, refreshing, and just boozy enough to remind you you're off the clock. And the second drink? Let's call it the Mystery Mai Tai of Joy. We don't remember what was in it. We just know it was tropical, delicious, and made us say "we should move here" at least twice. The Food: Oysters Rockefeller - Baked to perfection, smothered in a creamy, herby sauce and topped with crispy breadcrumbs. The kind of dish that makes you lean back in your chair and toss your plate at a fireplace (if they had one) Lobster Roll & Fries - A buttery masterpiece. Generous chunks of lobster, golden toasted roll, and fries that nailed the crispy-soft ratio. They didn't hold back with the portions, and we didn't hold back either. Beet Salad - A beachy surprise hit. Sweet roasted beets, creamy goat cheese spread, and peppery arugula doing a power pose on the plate. It made us feel like we were balancing out the rest of the meal... even if dessert was already a foregone conclusion. If you're heading to Bethany and want to dodge the madness while still soaking up summer magic, Heidaway is a great spot. Come for the drinks, stay for the oysters, and let the ocean breeze convince you that everything is right in the world--even if only until Monday.

Shout out to the two, super-awesome bartenders who made our dinner even more enjoyable. For a small restaurant, it seemed like they made 1000 drinks while we had dinner! I wish my phone didn't die and I would have had more pictures. But I'll tell you that the food here is amazing and you can see they really put a lot of work and care into every single ingredient. My husband even noticed the micro cilantro in the carrot tahini hummus! The ingredients are all busting with flavors. I had the swordfish, which was brown butter basted and very tasty and prepared with caramelized baby turnips & fennel- so good! My husband even noticed enjoyed his caesar and steak salad and we both ate every last drop. While we were kinda in the heat of everything.. busy bar and right next to the kitchen, the energy in the restaurant was amazing and you could tell the whole restaurant was working hard for the busy holiday crowd. I'm grateful we got those two seats at the bar. 14 Global is a wonderful restaurant with a scrumptious and ecletic coastal cuisine. Next time I will definitely make a reservation!

As you can see from my more than ten past reviews over 4 years and my last review in August 2025…read morethis is now one of my top three happy hour restaurants during the off season. I will summarize my four most recent happy hour off season visits. We were first here at the bar with my six family and friends. Well finally the off season happy hour half price dinner entrees have finally returned here starting around mid October with pretty much the same entrees and menu as last year. They subsequently updated the half price entrees in early November. All items have pretty much returned here except for some new entrees. The good news is that at least two new half price happy hour dinner entrees were added including the surf and turf with espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon with two skewered shrimps, yukon mash, tomato garnash with blue cheese in the middle of the tomato for $40 or half price for only $20. I never had espresso encrusted filet mignon, therefore I ordered and enjoyed mine medium rare. I could barely taste the encrusted espresso. I ended my dinner with my favorite Fiddlehead's draft honey porter for $6. My total bill was $111 with half price discount of $36.50 so my final bill was $77. On my second return I enjoyed my ahi tuna rice bowl with broccoli, ginger fried house rice, sprouts and ginger vinaigrette for $36 or half price for $18. My total bill was $72 excluding gratuity. On my third return I again enjoyed the espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon, which I had ordered medium rare, but was over cooked to medium. I did not complain about returning my filet for a replacement, however I did show it to bartender Dennis. Next time I will order my filet rare. On my fourth return I enjoyed my usual cosmos and my ahi tuna rice bowl which was always properly cooked ahi style. Bartender Dennis always remembers I prefer a little extra spice, without me even asking for my Sriracha. Dennis recommended both of the above entrees. See my most recent pic of the new menu. Chef Cowan waved to me at the bar. Bartender Dennis served us very well supported by our usual excellent recommendations and conversations. Chandra and Cameron also said hello. The staff here are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On Black Friday I purchased another $1k in gift cards for the off season from Off The Hook and Hooked in OC. Needless to say we will continue to return here for happy hour to spend our $1k.
