The decor is spot on, just so nice all around! Let's go on to the service. I'm going to shout out Caleb he was great all around very attentive. Answered all my annoying questions haha. Really fantastic. The wait times for food were just right, didn't take too long but didn't rush you. So now for me to talk way too much. OH MY GOD THE FOOD! This is easily the best food I've had in southern delaware. Hands down, full stop. I got a blackened catfish over a red beet salad. The fish was fresh! Yes fresh in February I'm impressed. The blackened seasoning was so good, just spicy enough to make me smile but not too spicy to be unpleasant. Flaky and perfectly cooked I was not disappointed in any way or another. How about the salad? Well, it was a kale salad which I'm not normally a fan of. But the elements of the salad were perfect, the toasted walnuts, the beets, apples, just everything about married in flawless harmony. Even my mother-in-law agreed the kale salad was great. 10/10, 5/5, whatever you want to call it this was an out of the park experience! Drinks, a new addition to my review this week haha. The bar tenders do a "great pour" per my wife and father-in-law. Me, I stick with non-alcoholic and oh man they nailed that too. This is just all good, like whole thing is great. As you can see from my many prior reviews this is one of my top 3 restaurants for happy hour and dinner. I will summarize my two most recent family dinners here during the Thanksgiving and Christmas weekends: Marlene took our 5:30 PM dinner reservation over the phone. I was here with my family of nine including two children for Friday night dinner after Thanksgiving day upstairs at a corner table. I started with my spicy margarita for $14. We also shared a bottle of Duckhorn Decoy Brut champagne for $52, which was reduced down to $26 by 50% off due to Friday 50% off on all wine bottles. The Decoy brut champagne was excellent. We also shared and enjoyed the crab dip for $21. We also shared and enjoyed three dozen raw oysters samplers for a total of $81. I also enjoyed my crispy duck confit special with pappardelle, basil pesto, fried onion and garlic chilli vinaigrette for $32. My total bill was $455 excluding gratuity. Morelia C. (nicknamed Mo) served us very well as usual despite us having two children. We first met Mo, when she bartended at the downstairs bar, when we were here prior for many Sunday afternoon happy hours. We returned here again with my larger family of 14 including five children for dinner on the Saturday after Christmas. We had a 5:30 PM dinner reservation. We were again seated immediately upstairs. I started with and enjoyed my two Makers Mark Manhattans up for $15 each. We also shared and enjoyed two dozen raw oysters samplers for $27 per dozen. We also ordered and enjoyed one dozen of the more expensive Raspberry Points for $48. Raspberry Point Oysters are premium, cold-water farmed oysters from Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada, prized for their firm meat, distinct briny flavor with a sweet finish, and deep cups, taking 5-7 years to mature in New London Bay's tidal waters. They're known for being easy to shuck and popular in gourmet settings due to their consistent quality and appealing salty-sweet profile. We also shared the calamari for $17 and the devilled eggs for $19. I also enjoyed my confit lamb shank for $38. Caleb M. served us very well despite us having five children. My total bill was $737 excluding gratuity. Caleb applied our Indian River High School band 10% discount to our bill, which reduced the total from $737 down to $663 excluding gratuity. On Sunday's our favorite bartender is Nick C. Nick said hello, when we visited during the Thanksgiving holiday. There was a dedicated allergen menu and we were told many dishes could be prepared specially without gluten ingredients. Update on update. My folks were celebrating 63 years of marriage! My fiancé and I brought them to Catch 54 and it was more than we hoped for. You can see from the reviews that I'm a fan, but the service tonight was truly special. My mom is not well and most likely won't have another wedding anniversary, so this one mattered. Bubbles and dessert and just spectacular service made everything just special. I can't thank you enough. Food wise...Clam and Garlic Spaghetti was amazing! First of all, the ambience is amazing. Very inviting and beachy. However, that's where the charm ends. We got the shrimp and grits (bizarrely sweet and the shrimp were overcooked), the smashburger (fries were not seasoned and on the cold side) and the "special" shrimp salad. The special was billed as a fresh, local cucumber, tomato, onion and mozzarella salad with grilled shrimp with a vinaigrette. The tomatoes were cut in large pieces, as was the cucumber, requiring more cutting. The shrimp weren't seasoned and were way overcooked. And for $28, I expected a LOT more. We had a nice experience at Catch 54. No reservations, so we arrived early in the evening. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated. The ambiance is clean and stylish. Good choice of music playing too! Our service was excellent. As far as the food, everything was excellent. My wife and I started with the Pan Roasted clams and a nice little summer salad, with tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and watermelon. We decided to both go with the Swordfish, On their "Fish Board" menu. The flavor was on point, with a southwest flair. I was impressed with the freshness and tenderness of the swordfish. I've been missing out! My new favorite happy hour in the area. We've been coming to Selbyville now for years and typically frequent all of the same bars/restaurants. I was looking for good happy hours in the area and the daily buck-a-shuck at Catch 54, open (4pm) - 6pm. We arrived 10 minutes before open to give us the best chance to get a group of bar seats and there were already some guests waiting at the door. Once they opened we headed right up their spiral staircase and to the bar that exhibited beautiful bay views. We started with a Vodka Martini, Grapefruit Crush, Orange Crush and a Margarita - all $8 on HH. I definitely recommend the Grapefruit Crush as they were delicious and we ordered a few more throughout our visit. This being our first time here we had to order a wide variety of Happy Hour food to try a bunch of things. We started with 12 oysters and they were so fresh (also loved the SoDel Shuckin' Sauce). Wings were crispy and delicious, and I really enjoyed the sticky honey drizzle (I can see them not being for everyone if you're more of a traditional Buffalo style). The Happy Hour burger ($12 + $2 to add fries) was phenomenal featuring a thick, juicy, perfectly cooked patty, lettuce, red onions, and ripe tomatoes. I'd come back for the burger and oysters alone. The Buttermilk Fried Calamari was also a hit as it was lightly battered, flash fried and incredibly tender. On top of the food and drinks being great, the bartenders were also both very nice. They had no problems talking to us when they weren't busy making drinks. They also gave some other local recommendations for us to try. My mom enjoyed everything so much she said she wants to come back again with dinner reservations. Catch 54 will definitely be a new regular added to our bar/restaurant rotations and I'm sure we'll be back again this year before the week is over. We're back for our third Happy Hour visit with our extended family, Mom, dad, sis and the 4 boys. The food is amazing here! Dollar oysters are the big draw for us, but quickly matched by the roasted mussels! But the other apps and happy hour specials - wings, calamari, burgers, are All excellent too. They have draft beet specials and delicious. Now the service - every server we've has been excellent but our past 2 visits we've been served by Peyton who is AMAZING! We had a great experience at Catch 54. We came on a recommendation of a co-worker and were happy we did. Catch 54 offered amazing happy hour specials including some of the best calamari we've ever eaten. The restaurant itself is very pretty and had a nice water view. All of the staff that we interacted with were friendly and professional. This place has their service down pat. We got burgers, calamari, shrimp, wings, and fries and were extremely pleased with everything. The food came out hot and cooked perfectly. My wife and I had dinner here with some family members while visiting them. The restaurant sits by the water and offers beautiful views of the bay. There is a lower and upper level of dining ateas. The food here is very good. I had the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes. It was delicious and not too spicy. My wife had the broiled salmon with boiled potatoes, also very good. There is a clam and oyster bar offering locally caught oysters and clams. The service is friendly and attentive. The dining areas are very clean but a little on the tight side. Prices are on the higher end but it's to be expected because the area is touristy, especially during the summer months. Parking can be difficult to find due to the very small parking lot. Thankfully there are nearby parking lots as alternatives. Reservation are highly recommended. I definitely recommend this restaurant especially for group gatherings. read more

When was the best local restaurants in our area. Food is fresh. And the menu is diverse. Services always. First class. And the location is lovely. Especially during the summer seasons. They are one of a few restaurants that stays open in offseason which is really appreciated by the residence. The wine selection is outstanding. She was friendly and showed us the specialty drink options and told us about the appetizers. As always, we ordered the oysters and they were so good with no shells! The deviled eggs were good and we also loved the calamari. I had the crab cakes and loved them and the cucumber salad was so fresh. Our other dinner orders were a rice bowl with an egg on top, a chicken Caesar salad, tuna entree and shrimp with clams. Every single person absolutely loved everything they ordered. My friend suggested Catch 54 even though they only take reservations up to 6 p.m. When we got there, we waited about 20 minutes before we were seated (we had been told it would be a 30-minute wait). The booths were comfy and spacious , and the view of the bay was lovely. We started with the crab deviled eggs which were delicious although there wasn't a ton of crab. The entree was my favorite part of the meal. The day boat scallops fried rice was different, a little spicy, and delicious especially with a sunny side egg on top. We ended our meals with the honey cream cheese poundcake. The maple anglaise and brown butter crumb was the perfect combination especially with the scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I recently visited Catch 54 with my family, and unfortunately, our experience was marred by the treatment we received from the older female hostess. Upon arriving, my 6 year old was excited for a steak, but our enthusiasm quickly faded when we encountered the older hostess. She seemed less than welcoming and made it clear that having kids with us was a problem. When we asked for a happy hour table, she informed me and the 6 year old that it would be "at least an hour wait" but we could immediately have a full-priced menu, so the 6 year old and I left the restaurant. To make matters worse, my husband (who had been in the car with a napping kid) decided to go inside without the kids to see if he could grab a table. To our surprise, he was seated at a happy hour table within five minutes. This stark contrast in treatment felt unfair and left us feeling unwelcome as a family. The way we were treated by the older hostess was disheartening - I guess she was never a child herself whose family liked happy hour prices like the tables full of campers downing cheap oysters and lite beers. It's disappointing when a dining experience is overshadowed by poor service, especially when it comes from someone in a position of hospitality. That being said, the younger hostess (name began with an S) was kind and seemed to have much more empathy for us, our actual server (one of the male bartenders) was great. I hope Catch 54 can address this issue - and let me be explicitly clear - I understand that wait times are estimates and thing change quickly, but this was not one of those times - the attitude and lack of an sense of hospitality were palpable from the older hostess. read more

Well. I wish I could say I tried the food. It looks really good on their website. Studied the menu and knew exactly what I wanted. So I get there for a bit early for my reservation (I am anxious you know) and then it hits me. BAM! There is no parking to be found anywhere! Not in the lot, not on the street. Across the street there is a plethora of signage telling you where NOT to park. Being disabled, I cannot park way down the street and walk 3 blocks to get there. I had to cancel my reservation using my phone. I hope someone else enjoyed my spot. What a complete let down. Oh well, I guess you can say it is very popular when looking as how all of the parking was taken up. Just be warned about the situation and plan accordingly. My sister and I went here for dinner and it was amazing. We started with oysters which had amazing flavor. The appetizer also came out quick which was great because we were very hungry. For my entree I went with the Country Fried Chicken, which is something I typically wouldn't order at a restaurant. I'm glad I went with our server's recommendation because I loved it. The gravy on top was so so good. The chicken was crispy and juicy. Our server was great and made sure we were enjoying everything and was very quick to refill drinks.
