The breakfast at Tide Room in Ashore Resort is a total mixed bag--great setup, gorgeous space, but the food kitchen execution falls way short of the environment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the positive side, the setting is fantastic. You get a beautiful direct view of the ocean through the windows, the decor and ambiance are lovely, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unfortunately, the food itself was barely above what you'd expect from a low-end self-serve hotel buffet. I ordered the omelette with turkey sausage, veggies, and cheddar cheese. Instead of melted, shredded cheddar folded in or melted on top, I was served a single slice of Kraft American cheese slapped right on top of the omelette. The hash brown loaf was an atrocity. They would be far better off serving traditional scattered hash browns or even a straightforward McDonald's-style hash brown patty. A few things were done right: the toast was good, served with nice preserves, and the side of fresh strawberries was delicious. The drip coffee was fine, though it's worth noting they don't offer any espresso drinks like lattes or cappuccinos if that's part of your morning routine. Worth stopping in if you just want to sit by the water with toast and coffee, but the hot breakfast prep needs a major rethink.

This is an amazing restaurant in ocean city! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although we got sat a little later, the place looked beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is a fine dining establishment even though it's in a hotel. The service was great. Our server was attentive and answered any questions we had. The food was to die for and I would come back here again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A sunset dinner reservation at the Tide Room in the Ashore Resort and Beach Club was marvelous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Vilad was friendly, incredibly attentive, and funny! He was on point throughout our entire dinner from the first hello to the end. For starters we were served rolls with tri-butter ensemble, followed by the TR crab dip appetizer served with house made potato crisps. Decadent and creamy there was lump crabmeat in every bite. It is worthy to mention Ashore Resorts where Tide Room is located is a registered True Blue Restaurant that serves authentic Maryland blue crab. We also had the baby arugula and kale salad and it was cool with crisp greens. A well balance of the goat cheese gives this salad A+ for pre-dinner enticements. For beverages we had an array of selections - En Fuego, Cloud 9, and OC Old Fashioned. All were great, my old Fashioned was strong *wink! For dinner, we had the Blue Crab Truffle Carbonara, and the 10oz. A4 Wagyu Coulotte. Everyone enjoyed their entrées. A simple modification for my carbonara with gemelli instead of ziti was granted and I was a happy gal. I appreciate the balance of the pasta to crab ratio. Generously portioned this dish! The 10oz. wagyu prepared medium was a highlight... the marbling and that fat cap was incredible, it was so buttery tender. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is bright and the open dining space welcomes loud chatter![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely book reservations if you can, and specify indoor/outdoor, by the window, and booths are best for couples no more than 2. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tide Room does a great job accommodating celebrations as there were several parties celebrating the night of my visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is onsite and some overflow is across Coastal Highway. Come early, enjoy a cocktail while you wait.

Food and service, excellent here! Small, but delicious and accommodating menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cool setting and vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely go back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was absolutely gorgeous! It felt like we were in Greece and not Ocean City lol.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The views were spectacular and the service was great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waiter was so attentive and helpful as it was our first time there. They even gave me a little birthday card and dessert. The food was also very fresh and delicious! 10/10! I'm definitely adding this to my restaurant list for OC!

This might be my new favorite restaurant in OC MD. We went for my husband's birthday. They said happy birthday and had a card for him on the table. We wanted to get an appetizer but figured we would be too full so skipped it. Cocktails were great. I got an passionfuit aperol popsicle in a glass of champagne. It was refreshing. The other drink i ordered had a coconut foam on top which was cool. My husband kept telling me to order the crab cake since they were supposedly the only restaurant in OC MD that uses actual Maryland crab. But there were 2 other entrees I wanted and I didn't really want the fries and closelaw with the crab cake. So I ordered just a single crab cake in addition to my meal and I'm glad I did that. The scallop dish was great and prob my favorite meal I had on vacation. The scallops were seared perfectly with a nice brown. The combination of the blueberry sauce and the gnocchi and other vegetable with it just went together really well and everything was delicious. I really liked those gnocchis too I wish they put a little more on the entree. My husband got the truffle carbonara pasta so I could steal some of his. I'm glad he ordered it. That pancetta in it was probably the best pancetta I ever had. Nice size pieces with good flavor. Sometimes pancetta can be too salty for me but this wasn't . There were nice size lumps of crab in it and great flavor. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. We ordered the sticky toffee pudding and that was great too. They put a birthday candle in it. Oh I forgot the bread was great too. The butter that they give you is addicting- the pizza butter is great. There's 3 different ones. We had to ask for more bread since it was so good. I definitely would like to return I hope they add some more entrees and change the menu seasonally.

Had dinner here on a Friday night while in town for a weekend. This is a newer restaurant to us - I had not heard of it until this year. Parking is out front of the Ashore Hotel, as well as across the street as well if needed. We had a reservation for 8:15pm and came about 7:55pm. The inside of the hotel leading to the restaurant reminded me of a reshell of a previously outdated restaurant. New paint over the old bones, but new decoration as well. The restaurant was kind of cool - different lighting with a balcony area to dine at overlooking the beach. We started with crab dip and crab deviled eggs. The deviled eggs (6) were REALLY GOOD - seasoned well and topped with crab meat. The crab dip though was clumsy to me - almost like a cream of chicken gravy with crab on top. Wasn't the normal creamy and cheesy consistency that you'd expect. Don't know. For my meal - why not - I got crab carbonara. This was pretty good - plenty of pancetta and crab - sauce was good enough. For dessert I ordered the peanut butter pie (for my beaauuutifu--) which I'm pretty sure was just a frozen pie. Still good. Our waiter - tall guy Vataly? was good - and brought refills without prompting. However, the man refused to buss the spent glasses ha. Overall good - worth the try!

Excellent lamb chops, blue crab truffle carbonara was to die for, as was the Brussels sprouts chopped up, wok fried with truffle oil and Parmesan cheese. Our server Shelby was patient and delightful and made our dinner even more enjoyable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great wine selections and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We highly recommend this hidden gem!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came here for our bachelor bachelorette party with about 15 people and honestly they let us set everything up, made it so much fun and let us really enjoy ourselves even though it's definitely more of an upscale restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was fantastic and was playing games with us, got all of our orders right even though we were a little rowdy lol and everybody else was so kind. I really can't stress that enough. They even brought over a little free dessert for my parents who came with us for their anniversary. The food was absolutely epic. My scallops were some of the best I've ever had. This place definitely is more expensive than most in Ocean City, but in my opinion, this entire hotel and the restaurant and bar are phenomenal. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!

Wonderful restaurant with a view of the ocean. Beautiful contemporary, pleasant decor. Very creative menu. Attentive staff. Artichoke and goat cheese dip was standing. Bread service very unique with pizza butter! Crab cakes are delicious with no visible filler. Very pleasant environment. Highly recommend!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is out of this world between.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is Top Notch price isn't bad for a high scale restaurant. Best kept secret in Ocean City for the time being.

A guy with a guitar sang some songs as per last time. The views of the Atlantic ocean and the bay are great from the Vista rooftop bar and restaurant. . They now offer many flavors of margaritas. Before we left the bar, all high tops were full with customers including customers who were waiting for our bar stools. Some customers seized the high tops, while some went to the secondary bar. A second bartender was called in when the bar became very busy. I opted for my three strawberry margaritas with salted rims for $8 each. I also enjoyed my Tsunami Wontons with Atlantic lobster, jumbo lump crab, avocado, pico de gallo, and wasabi and red pepper coulis for $20. The happy hour menu is different from when we last visited. Bartender Mark served both of us very well. My friend and I split our bill in half. My share of our bill was $49 including a 3% credit card surcharge, but excluding gratuity. We agreed we will return here again for happy hour.

Came for my birthday dinner celebration with my parents and my daughter. Love the ambiance here,…read moreand we were seated upstairs by the corner windows. It's just beautiful to look out on the evening sky over the bay. So getting into it I ordered the froze at the recommendation of our server (i forget what I was between). It was good but I won't get again, I'm not big into the sweet frozen stuff so I should have known better, but I was trying something different. As a table we started with warm cornbread. Myself and my daughter got the shrimp and grits, can't ever go wrong! My father got the big fat crab cakes (his go to staple), and my mom went with simple fried shrimp. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and my daughter couldn't wait for dessert. Although I was too stuffed we got the triple chocolate brownie sundae at my daughter's request to celebrate my bday. I couldn't snap a photo before she dug in!! Service was wonderful, manager even came over to be sure everything was well. He even snapped a family photo for us on our way out. Will return for sure!!

I've been telling my wife for the past year how much she'd love it and it definitely didn't disappoint! My parents arrived in town earlier than we did and stopped here for happy hour without us, but we all made it back later in the week. A must try if you love oysters & clams -- just make sure you arrive a little before they open (4pm) because the bar fills up quickly!). We started with the star of the show, the raw bar of course! Between the 4 of us we had multiple orders of clams and oysters. We love oysters and a good buck-a-shuck is so difficult to find near us in Jersey, so we had to take advantage of this one. The oysters and clams always taste fresh--we've never had a bad one here. The calamari is tender and lightly breaded. The burger is a phenomenal deal served with their house-cut boardwalk fries that are to die for if you're a French fry aficionado! The food, both quality and prices, makes Catch 54 really stand out compared to so many other bars and restaurants of similar stature. My aunt loves crab cakes and said Catch 54's crab cake was phenomenal. Better than many other crab cakes she's had locally. Our drink orders included draft beer, the Sunset Spritz, and the Pineapple Martini (which was delicious and on happy hour!). The bartenders were great! Friendly, personable, attentive, made great drinks, and even remembered us from last year. That's unbelievable considering the number of customers they serve every night. Aside from the incredible, food-forward Happy Hour & daily Buck-a-Shuck (including weekends), another thing that sets Catch 54 apart from many other local restaurants we frequent in the area is the updated, modern decor and upscale, yet still casual, aesthetic that hits you as soon as you walk in. I've yet to experience anything but happy hour, but it feels like a place I'd take my wife for a dinner date. My only disappointment comes from myself -- I was only able to stop n once during our annual vacation but we made the most of it. Next year I'm going to make it a point to stop in more frequently.
