The calamari, topped with toasted coconut and served with Shanghai aioli, was good, but the tagliatelle was the standout. Perfectly seared dayboat scallops paired with housemade tagliatelle in a truffle butter sauce, with peas, pancetta, Parmesan, and a drizzle of jus gras. Rich, fresh, and beautifully balanced. Next, I tried the cream of crab soup, made with fresh Maryland jumbo lump crab meat. The flavor was rich and well-balanced, but I did encounter a few shell fragments. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection.
