I asked for a 5x10 storage and ended up getting a unit that was 2 separate units at one time. I didn't find this out until I got to the unit so then I had to return to the office to buy a 2nd lock. The locks they sell are small. This means there is a partial wall with 2 doors instead of one large doors. Not what I wanted. This is what happens when you book online. The lights have sensors. They go off while you are there and if you walk away and come back they still didn't come back on. I came back several times and they still weren't fixed and there are no lights in the storage units. I have been there a couple times to get stuff and each time I go back there is more trash in the hallways. read more

Steve and Tali made my first storage rental experience a pleasant one. I called ahead to discuss options and went ahead and reserved over the phone. Showed up and filled out some paperwork and I had a storage unit in no time. The facility is clean, has 15+ security cameras, and the units are individually alarmed. And to top it off, they have a couple of carts you can use to assist loading/unloading. I was informed the managers live on-site, which adds to security - nonetheless reassuring. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a storage unit company... we had this storage unit for the duration of approximately 7 months. A couple of months in, we had gone back to get a few items and found our property within our unit covered in rat feces and urine. We let the managers know and were told that the row behind us had gotten in trouble for having food in their storage unit. We were never notified of this and a significant amount of our property was damaged because of it. Once we talked to corporate all they could manage was to give us our final month free of charge which was only 13 days until our move out. There was approximately $1,500 dollars worth of property that was damaged and had to be discarded from this. So many sentimental items had to be thrown away because they could not be salvaged from the rat urine and feces. I am extremely disappointed. If I could, I would absolutely give this location zero stars. We will never do business with this establishment again. read more

If you want a business that consistently acts like customer service is a quagmire they will never understand store your belongings here. Have an error or issue don't expect to find out about it til after you've already been assured multiple times that there won't be an issue. Then when they finally do decide to alert you prepare for the least sympathetic of helpful individuals that could be found. Speak to a manager and be assured things will be fine before traveling across the country, don't worry while you are gone a different manager will then inform you that the other manager was wrong and you now need to do whatever they've managed to think of right now to avoid additional fees. Of course it doesn't matter that the other manager said something different it's up to you the customer to fix this issue now. Don't give these people money their management team makes it clear they give absolutely no shits about you. The only person who seems to actually be at all kind is a relief manager who gives inaccurate information (based on the other managers) so sadly that one nice person will lead you astray. read more

Best storage I've ever been 2. I've been 2 alot of storages in Hayward & Fremont. They were run down full of tweakers. They do not allow that here. Property is clean . Staff are super friendly. Rented a uhaul truck from these con artist reserved it on uhaul.com and quote was $30 and some change got there to pick up the truck and somehow it went from $30 to $90 so I asked the man that was helping me and he played stupid like he was unsure then clicked a few buttons on his comp and said " I just re ran everything and now it's $30 hmmmm that's odd' I laughed at him and said nice try, this was about 5 pm and the truck I was renting was reserved for the following day so I had to return the truck by 10am, not a problem, so I return the truck about 930am the following day and am told I am being charged two days WTF cmon guys get your s*it together I would highly recommend NOT renting any uhauls from this place they are CROOKS! On an upbeat I must say the place is very clean and safe, the staff is friendly and courteous. On the DOWNSIDE they do not REFUND UNUSED TIME. My pay period was from August 18 to September 18. I had my things removed on August 20th. Now I am a senior and a diabetic, renting this unit was financially difficult for me but I did it because I had no other choice. Then when I moved my things out on August 20th and was paid up to September 18, I thought WOW I can use those funds for grocery and get back onto my proper meals. WRONG, I learned they DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS and so that almost $100.00 in refund that I was expecting never happened. It is hard nowadays being a senior, even harder with health problems, and so every penny counts. I just want to let you know if your rental period is, for example, August 18 to September 18 and you empty your storage on August 20th, DO NOT EXPECT YOUR MONEY BACK "NO REFUNDS". I still cannot get over the fact of losing almost $100 which would cover much-needed groceries but that is life. read more

Anthony makes it super hard to reserve and rent a unit as a single father living on my own and with the dmv allowing expired license to not be a issue he definitely did and made it almost impossible to reserve my storage unit and having to get different people to be the main account holder on a account I'm mainly paying for and keeping all my belongings at making it a super difficult time for me throughout this whole COVID even though the dmv will let expired identification go until 2021 on the other hand Jamie was there being really reasonable trying to help I appreciate her she definitely knows how to treat a guest/customer especially during these crazy times and it seems like all Anthony knows how to do is run people off and then storms off to take a break and he then wanted to say only one person can be in the office which makes no sense if I would need a co-signer, Jamie has only been there for less than 3 months and made my experience 10x better talking to her and dealing with her in the office definitely need to retrain Anthony on custom support !!!!! Rented a space at the McHenry location in Modesto, since day one there was a problem they forgot to take the lock of the storage unit. It was Sunday in the afternoon so there was nobody in the office to help me with that, I have to pay a extra day for the U haul truck and the helpers. The following day I called to complain about it, I was promised a free month , but then they recanted the offer and only gave a discount. A few days ago I went to pick up some of my clothes only to find that the unit was full of rat feces and urine, I called one of the facility managers she took some pictures and gave a number to call the insurance. Unfortunately I was told by the insurance company that the insurance only covers 500 dollars after a 100 dollars deductible, i had all my belongings there I lost about 30 000 grand in that place, I tried to explain that to managers there without any luck. I was ignored, I felt discriminated and so far not even a apology. Don't store your belongings there , think two about it. read more

This is definitely a decent place to use. Customer service can be a bit slow, but the family is very personable. The rental cost is affordable and the location is great. I would recommend this place and definitely use them again if needed. Downer was that the carts available for tenants to use to lug their stuff were stolen and not replaced, leaving tenants to carry one box at a time from car to unit. read more
