If I could leave zero I would, i had reserved a climate control storage that was going to opened up and was told to call back and confirmed this on Friday and told her I would take it her name. MADELYN, THE NEXT DAY on saturday, I came down the next morning and I was told by the manager that she'd offered it to multiple people and it was already taken by somebody who will take it tomorrow. I drove 60 miles this morning to get here. I rented truck to transport the stuff to the unit. Not to mention, I have to drive back 60 miles spent money on 10 foot panal truck, for there incompetence. zero rating do not recommend had unit for over 4 years fell behind few times stayed in constant contact always caught up . Completely fully aware and made it clear that I i will not allow my unit to ever be sold spoke with manager on the 2nd of feb or the 6 th about paying on unit made sure it wasn't past the 90 days asked about total of payment was sent the 21 st was told extra fees would be added told him I will be sending cashiers check I do not reside in oakdale I'm in so cal made sure payment was posted dated before 90 days recieved receipt stating payment paid through Feb 29 2024 2days later recieved call unit was auctioned on the 21st of Feb to come pick up check not one time durning verbal phone call wich are recorded did he state it's set for auction nothing was not informed or recieved any info or the opportunity to fill out form stating not to sell property then stated a regular guy who purchases units there a junker bought it there was no lien sale posted in local paper I receive all reciepts communication to my mail nothing claimed certified letter sent nothing recieved voicemail on Feb 26 to make payment or set for auction with no date recieved another voicemail on Feb 29th to update payment My parents ashes my grandmothers ashes my entire life was stolen started legal process as well as filing police report for my property stolen . unprofessional and illegal Always randomly check on your units no matter where they're stored Disgusting on how people will literally take family photos and urns and toss out just to profit from a frame instead of returning items especially personal documents as well as cremated remains disgusting read more

Storage facility is secure and well maintained, but they have been charging me a late fee for the past several months and when I went to the office I spoke with the General Manager who said that this would have to be dealt with by the facility manager. This was over a week ago and still no call back or any other communication. read more

This place has a Major roach problem on the 300 row. Set traps before moving your stuff in. Go somewhere else management is terrible here!

ROACHES!!!!!!!DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!ZERO STARS!!!!!!! Sold my old house and bought a new one in town. Needed a unit to house the entire contents of my home while my new home became ready. Began to open the contents of one of the boxes that contained clothes from my wardrobe and found that it was infested with roaches!!!! Too afraid to open the other boxes!!!! Called the storage facility and was basically told too bad so sad that I didn't pay for the additional insurnace that would cover my belongings from pests/rodents!! WTH?!!! 1st of all, the additional insurnace was never mentioned! 2nd, why the H*LL do I have to pay for "additional" insurnace to cover my belongings from a pest infestation?!! I naively assumed I would retrieve my contents in the same condition that I left them in without souvenirs/unwanted hitchhikers!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! I'm going to have to pay an arm and a leg for pest service! Not to mention the MAJOR inconvenience of having to wash and clean ALL of my linens and things during a move!! I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!!!!! read more

We had to rent a storage unit for a few months and this place was reconnected to us. I love the location and I feel like my items are safe. If I ever need a storage unit again in the future we will defiantly be using them again! read more

I have had a storage unit at this location for over 3 years. Today I went and pulled out all of my stuff. Over the years my bill has gone up over $20.00. While that isn't all that much, I feel that $88.00 a month is far to expensive for the smallest unit they have. (And apparently I was on a cheaper rate for being there as long as I was) I'm also dissatisfied with the lady who currently runs the office. She has a poor attitude and really needs to work on her customer service skills. More than once I went to the location during business hours and had found the office closed. Also, how hard is it to change the "I will return sign" to a correct and accurate time? Not just what's listed on the door. If you have hours posted, be there. Now for the final kick in the teeth, while removing my things towards the back of my unit I started noticing mold on things. Pictures, bags and boxes were still damp. Metal and zippers are rusted. I have yet to go through everything and see what else could be damaged. I was a loyal customer for 3 years but now it is just time to take my business elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend Heritage self storage for anyone near the Oakdale area. There are many attributes that sets Heritage Storage above all other storage units in the local area. I found it extremely easy to access and maneuver around the facility with my big truck and 30 foot long flatbed trailer easy in easy out no backing required. The quality of customer service was exceptional- the owners reside on location and are readily available and easy to reach during business hours. I found the price of my storage unit to be very comparable to other local units that did not come close to comparing to the level of cleanliness, accessibility and the feeling of confidence in knowing that my belongings were safe and secure even though I still had 24 hour access to my storage unit through a coded gate.
