Shipped a small package to AZ on Friday afternoon. Didn't have to wait for service. I was asked if I was paying with cash or card and was told I needed an I.D. to pay cash so I had to go out to my car for it. When I asked why, I was told that it's just a new policy. That's not a sufficient answer. I was asked if I'd rather the package arrive to the recipient on Tuesday for $20ish or Wednesday for $9+. I didn't need the rush so I chose Wednesday. Then the clerk who could barely budge a smile even, asked if I'd like it to be signed for. I figured that was a good idea, and then she charged me $15+ not telling me the signature was extra cost! The best part about her was that she looked clean, neat, and tidy. However, her service only could have been worse if she ignored me. I guess I should have known, but I don't ship very often and somehow I think it's the store's responsibility to inform before charging. And when you work WITH people, you need to practice friendliness. I know, my standards are probably too high. Ugh! Lots of parking super close to building was the best feature. While I don't personally need that, I'm sharing for those who do. Another plus is that it was easy to get to from Carpenter or the back road and easy to get back into traffic. read more

Fedex is straight garbage. I'm a patient man but this is nuts. My package has been sitting in Tracy for three days with no explanation or new timeframe for delivery, nor a way for me to go pick it up. The three guys I talked to because the waiting timed out and redirected me back to the beginning were ok. The website and app are crap too. People don't want robots or A.I. to take over, but people suck at their jobs now. Either people don't know what they're doing, or the company needs to hire more people. I made an order through Chewy who shipped it via FedEx. I got the notification it was delivered but the proof of delivery photo was not of my porch. I left a complaint with FedEx, who started an investigation into this issue but closed this case on this order due to the package being delivered. I called Chewy and they resent the order at no cost to me and yesterday I received notification that it was delivered. Again the proof of delivery photo is of a porch that is not mine but the same one from the first attempt. This driver is illiterate to say the least. I had furniture shipped from Ashley Home Store through FedEx. Two of the boxes were damaged and the items needed to be exchanged. The store arranged for the FedEx return. The driver showed up once said he didn't have room in his truck for big packages and that he would come back at the end of his shift. He never showed up again. I've been on the phone with them almost every other day for last couple of weeks and they keep telling me it's scheduled for pickup but no one ever shows up to pick it up. FedEx keeps blaming Ashley Home store for not scheduling right and Ashley keeps blaming FedEx and nothing ever gets resolved. I have to use FedEx this time because the store uses them but I will never use their services if I can avoid it. They have horrible service. Avoid using them if you can! read more

Fed ex has my package for Over 7 days at their local distribution site. (This package was originally an over night delivery). Everyday the package is updated to be delivered the next day. I went to 1407 carpenter Modesto, CA and was told my package was Never on the truck! When I contacted Fed Ex claims they told me it was the shippers Fault. I wanted to drop off my package here because I thought it would be in better care. I still don't know if it was worth going all the way to a FedEx Ship Center for that. I was the 2nd person in line and the person at the counter was sending over 17 packages of various sizes and to various locations. FedEx only had 1 person managing the counter at the time. It was a lot of packages and the employee made pretty good time handling the customer. If you come here for an ordinary package, be prepared to wait behind complicated orders. Also, my prepaid label wasn't scanning so they had to print out a new label. When the employee went to the back to get the new label, there was another one that printed and wasn't picked up and he was about to put the wrong label on my package. Luckily I verified that my package was overnight and he put in the correct label. I would come back here again with a complicated mailing. Parking is off street lot. Also, watch out for the feral cats roaming around the parking lot. read more

This is the third time I have had a problem with FedEx delivery. I live in Modesto, CA. I have two huge signs at my front door that is for delivery drivers. They need to leave the package between the screen door and the front door because I am disabled. I cannot go outside to get packages. I can grab a package and pull it inside if the driver leaves it where I instructed. Every driver from other delivery services follows instructions. The FedEx driver apparently cannot read. I see your company only gets 2 stars. Chewy.com uses your company and I told the woman on Chewy's helpline that I will never order from Chewy again until they use another delivery. I ordered a package to be delivered to my PO BOX in Los Banos, Ca 93635. The order was processed. 3/4 I received a notification that it was delivered without a signature. I called to see where it was delivered to. I spoke with Carlos, it was delivered to SACRAMENTO. That is 126 miles north of where I am out. However, when it reached the main hub in Fresno my addressed changed. I did not authorize the new address or even told it was being changed. He opened a case file #0304639661. 3/5 I followed out the following day spoke w/ Ivan. No updates. 3/8 Called spoke with Emily. There were no updates. I explained to Emily I lived in SAC 10 yrs ago on JoAnn Dr. Was that the place it was delivered to? She said yes. I live in Los Banos! She was really helpful. I knew she was the only one who understood. My option was to call the store I purchased my item and said I needed a refund for a package I did not receive. I said that's not an onoption because FEDEX is at fault. Do the right thing and to go back to JoAnn Dr get the package and ship it to my street address. I asked to speak with a supervisor, Darnell Customer Advocate came on line. He said FEDEX contacted Oneill in logistics to change the address. He would not call O'Neill with me. O'Neil is a trucking service that works with FEDEX. Why would I contact them directly when its FedEx contact? Darnell was not a customer advocate for me. He through O'Neil under the bus, wash his hands of me and get FEDEX off the hook. I will not order anything shipped through FEDEX. I cannot reorder my purchased, limited edition. Lied and marked my package as delivered at 11:02 AM. Canvased entire neighborhood in case it was accidentally dropped at a neighbors. Was actually delivered sometime between 1:30 and 2 PM. Long after needing to go to work and the part needed to get to car repair delayed an entire day. Supposedly have a money back guarantee if delivered after 12PM, but bought my part through eBay, so will never see the 40$ I spent to ensure I had it before noon. I brought something to get mailed back to an online retail store and it was in a plastic bag and super small it just needed to get taped back up. I'm pretty sure it was the manager that was helping me and the first thing she says is "we charge for tape" (which was fine, but UPS never does). I had to tape it up myself and I even told her it was hard to with my nails and she didn't offer to help. So my shipment ended up being $10 with a $3 fee for tape. So I asked her "$3 for two little pieces of tape?" and she pulls out a roll and was like I meant to give this to you and stutters the rest of the time she was helping me. Used federal express for a new business, has restruant equipment ruined and destroyed by federal express. They would not take responsibility for it. I have been at this fedex location twice this month because they can't deliver my packages correctly. I have been receiving my packages from fedex just fine but not when it comes this location. They screw it up all the time. I always have to pick my packages up on this location which is very inconvenient for me not only is it very far but also heavy traffic. I placed an order for some fish finder electronics is electronics back on the third of the month. In place was 2nd day delivery. Is those items left Arizona on the 3rd and was scheduled to be delivered by Friday the 5th. Friday's delivery turned into being Monday. I was emailed on Sunday confirming a Monday delivery and that somebody had to be home to sign for it. I could not electronically sign forward online.. So I took the day off at work sat around here all Monday is there all Monday waiting for my package. Afternoon time frame came package wasn't here I reached out the fedex just to try to find a window as I again I mentioned above that I was He is afraid of leaving my home and they would attempt to deliver. The the agent said they had until the end of the day that was the best information she can give me at that time me at that time they didn't have a window to let me know.. A few more hours went by got close to around 5 PM still no package I called back in again just to ask what's the latest they would deliver And during that conversation she explained the package wasn't scheduled to be delivered until Tuesday the next day.. I explained to her no it was supposed to be delivered today. By the end of the day. How log back on to see if she changed it while we were talking and she did she had it changed till end of the day on Tuesday on Tuesday. I told her I was aware that she had made changes to it or must have made changes to it that I already had had a picture and the email showing that it was supposed to be delivered and A-day on Monday. This did irritate me As I mentioned above I took the day off from work and stayed at my house all day waiting for this delivery and now they're stating it's gonna be delivered on Tuesday I explained to her that's unacceptable that they just have people stay all day waiting to sign for the package and then they just change it and have no Repercussions for their actions. Carpenter in Modesto location Fedex has the worst customer service I encountered. I arrived on March 15 at around 5pm to pick up a package. They had two employees working, a male and a female in the front. The male was working hard, helping a customer. I stood in line right next to the sign, "pickup", where the female was standing doing nothing. I told her I am here to pick up an item. She told me to wait for male employee. There was some complications and the other client had to go in and out of the building. I wait and wait, while the female employee stood there under the sign "pickup" doing nothing. I walked out and enjoyed the outside air. Then came back and waited some more. I was wondering if the lady chose not to do anything she should hide somewhere in the back, pretending to be busy, instead of torturing customer by being idle and not doing anything. I got bored and started to take pictures. She saw my camera and decided to tell me to come over. She decided she is indeed an employee of Fedex and will grab my package from the back for me. She could have done that 15 minutes earlier. Someone needs to explain to me why they are called Federal Express. read more

This place is hit or miss. I've come here a few times and they are always friendly, however the service greatly depends on who is helping you. My first visit was a 30-40 minutes wait while they packed my items for shipping, whereas my next was welcome with the option to fill out a form and not have to wait. I also had forgotten to print a document that needed to be put in the box, and they were nice enough to print it for me. read more

recommendation: FedEx does not take advantage their opportunity for customer service. They often have a shipment sit in a local distribution center for a day or two instead of over delivering on their promise and delivering early.
