I'm a company owner and recently had an employee complete Live Scan fingerprinting at this UPS Store location. During the conversation with staff, it was admitted that they frequently receive rejected fingerprint submissions (at least once a month), which immediately raised concerns. I mentioned that if prints look poor, "people just need lotion," but there was little effort to proactively address print quality during the actual appointment on their end. What was frustrating is that they also downplayed the issue by saying it's "easy to redo" if rejected -- which begs the question of why rejections are so common in the first place. I have over 35 employees who have completed Live Scans at other facilities with zero rejections, and this was never framed as a recurring issue elsewhere. When the rejection did occur, the store manager, Alonzo, blamed the DOJ and stated that DOJ "automatically rejects prints" with high volumes of prints due to older machines. This explanation doesn't hold up, as none of the dozens of other Live Scan facilities we use have experienced this issue. As a result, I now have to wait and potentially redo the entire process for an employee who reasonably assumed UPS was a reputable option for fingerprinting. My takeaway is that the prints are being done inefficiently, and if rejection rates are high enough that staff preemptively mention redoing them, this is probably not the best facility to choose for something as compliance-critical as Live Scan fingerprinting. That said, I am giving 2 stars because the staff did take the time to speak with me, and despite my frustration (I have very little tolerance for incompetence and lack of accountability), they did remain professional during the conversation. read more

Use this location very often due to their great service and their apparent desire to get you taken care of and get you on your way. Mainly Amazon returns but have used their notary and overnight letter delivery. Everyone I've dealt with has been great but Joseph stands out as the best. I use this UPS store to drop off packages for return, all the time. On this instance the package I dropped off was put in the USPS bin because it had a USPS label. They weren't able to scan it because it did not have a UPS label. The Post Office picked it up but after two weeks, did not scan it into their system, leading me to believe that it had been lost. Alonzo, at the UPS store went OVER AND ABOVE to check his cameras on the day I dropped off the package and then track it down with the Post Office. I was so appreciative for his EXCEPTIONAL customer service, especially because there aren't too many people that would take the time to do that for their customers. It is very refreshing to know that people like this still exist in this new day of ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE, where humans just can't be bothered. Since discovering this location it's the only one I use. They are very efficient and so very helpful. Especially with Amazon returns. If you don't know or understand something they walk you through it. They are always busy but no one gets impatient or short with customers. read more

I went in to get a paper notarized, I was certain when you are certified to forms, you also would know to I firm the customer that something is income on the form that needs to be e notarized, well this part person did not tell me that my form was missing things, she charged me anyway and come to find out that the stanislaus clerks office said my forms were wrong, I called to let her know she did my forms wrong, she said I would have to pay again, well this was not my mistake, she shouldn't be taking customers money like that, never again will I use services there and trust me I'm goi g to put it out there about my poor service. read more

Thai place never sent out all my Amazon returns. I went in with no boxes requesting to purchase boxes to mail out. The lady behind the counter said it would not be necessary she would place in bags herself.she rang me up and I paid I trusted her to take of it since she offered. My returns never made it to there destination. I was never given tracking numbers either so I cannot prove I sent them to Amazon. read more

If I could rate this store and the manager -5 I would. I had a very interesting interaction with the manager of the UPS Store today. I am shipping a Glock 26 Slide to be machined for an RMR site mount, it was packaged up and ready to go. Everything was going smoothly until the young lady asked me the contents and I said it's a slide, she said could you be more specific for insurance purposes? And I said it is a Glock 26 slide (I should have known better), the look on her face told me immediately that this was going sideways in a hurry. She said what you are trying to do is illegal, I cannot accept this, I will not break the law by accepting this. I was SHOCKED, I couldn't believe what I was hearing, I know the law and I know that there is no local, state or federal law that I am violating by sending the slide from a handgun via UPS to a machine shop. I said look sweetheart (oops) and she raised her voice to say DO NOT CALL ME THAT, I said, look - I am a law abiding citizen and I am 110% certain that I am not breaking any laws by shipping this part. She stated that she didn't care what I thought, that she knew it was illegal and that if she accepted the item for shipment she could go to jail. She printed some UPS shipping policy and handed it to me, I just laughed and said UPS policy is not the law, violating UPS policy is one thing, but inferring that I am a criminal and breaking the law is another.. I said if you think I am breaking the law why don't you call the police and tell them you have somebody attempting to break the law by sending a firearm part at the store, we can sort this out really quick. She said I was rude and condescending, I told her she should look in the mirror, she said I do every day and I am beautiful.. I just laughed some more. She said I was making her uncomfortable, I just chuckled and said I haven't done anything at all threatening and I am not responsible for your fragility, give me my package and I am out of here. She said she was going to flag my account so I couldn't ship anything from the store, I told her don't worry I will never set foot in this establishment again. Wow.. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and just how adamant she was that I was breaking the law. I read the policy and it looks like UPS changed their policies about a month ago and it looks like you cannot ship firearm parts unless you are an FFL. UPS needs to train their employees better, if she had said "UPS Policy states we no longer ship firearm parts", my response would have been "OH? I hadn't heard, OK, I will go to Fed Ex"... When she called me a criminal by saying I was breaking the law she offended me and created a confrontation. Could I have handled it better? Sure.. Should she have handled it better? Definitely. I am going far and wide on this with every firearm group I am a member of to let them know that they should not use UPS for ANYTHING until they rescind these policies. I hope this hurts their bottom line and the company is impacted by it financially. As for the manager, you owe me an apology, saying I am breaking the law is calling me a criminal and you really should educate yourself on the difference between the LAW and UPS Company Policy. read more

The staff there is very pleasant however they don't take responsibility for packages that are lost by them. It's through the post office under the bus. The package was not delivered can no accountability for packages. I lost $60 in returns because of them not taking the accountability for the actions very dissatisfied cannot afford to take a $60 ahead at this time of my life, you go to place where you can get a receipt for return they don't provide receipts many times in the past I had a good experience with them until the day they lost my package. I was worth over 60 bucks. I am having a hardship because of that I live on a fixed income and I cannot afford to take a $60 from any company no matter how much I like the crew, so please do not give them your business going forward unless you get company that gives you receipt that backs it up the return so sad the staff is nice with their policy is horrible. I Sent over legal documents out of state many pages missing , when I spoke with Alonso he insisted that he looked at the camera and all pages were sent , they have done this on multiple occasions.
