I love this store! Amazing people! I come here all the time. The type of people that complain on here are the same people that hold up the line asking the nice lady to check every option available for the cheapest price. It's very easy, walk to the front and say "cheapest way to have it delivered please", and that's it! Yes, if you don't have a box you have to pay for one. Yes, the item is weighed and priced accordingly. Pretty simple. Not to mention, this place beats the heck out of waiting in the long lines at the post office and grocery stores. New owners and it's sooo much better!!! New owners are so nice and helpful. They are family friendly and if you have an Amazon return they will go out of their way to help you. I'm not sure what these other reviewers are up in arms about.....a bad attitude is followed up with a bad attitude.,,,,,,,,:) I've had nothing but great service from this establishment and Sarla, the lady in question. I've been in and out of this Postal Annex for 3 years and have gotten nothing but friendliness. As for the ShredEx complaint.........the process for the "Declaration of Destruction" is you sign at the counter, walk out with your copy, another copy is signed off by the shred tech after destruction, then forwarded to corporate who then emails the customer their documents are destroyed. It's a legal and binding document, so it takes about 4-6 weeks to get your totally signed off copy through all the proper channels and it is heavily scrutinized, but rest assured ShredEx is the top of the shred chain as far as shredding companies go. read more

I had a prepaid amazon envelope going out UPS and the employee Rosie asked me if I had a drop-off and gladly took my envelope. When I asked for a receipt she said, "Ugh!" Look lady, if you're busy, don't take on more than you can handle and then take your frustration out on the customer. I have a right to have a receipt as proof I dropped it off. I don't know what you're going to do with my package after I leave! I put my trust in you so DO YOUR JOB! "UGH" right back atcha! read more

JUST DONT. Not only is the old Indian woman that works there rude but it also smells in there. I only needed 2 of the 4 pages of a work order I needed her to print for me, she looked mad and said she wasnt doing that, all 4 pages or nothing. I said "wow thats a first, every other place does it for me, but its okay you can do all 4." She then proceeds to tell me to go somewhere else because I "offended her" what a joke of customer service. read more

The new owner went out of her way to help my son and I send back a package. She helped us with the paperwork and was very personable. The previous owner was rude but the new owners are HELPFUL, and PROFESSIONAL. I will always use this location to send packages because of the friendly helpful staff. read more

I use this place quite a bit for sending packages because the people here are very friendly and helpful. Heck once I forgot my money and couldn't pay and they said to pay next time, which I did. Now how many places in Modesto will do that for you. Not to many I'ma thinkin. They have everything you need. They do fed-ex, ups, and I believe they also do that other service called dhl or something like that. read more

I walked in, placed my box on the counter and the lady looked at me like it was a rude gesture. I was the only customer in the store so I know I didn't cut anybody in line. She proceeded to tell me that they don't tape boxes there. I told her I didn't have any tape at home. She annoyingly taped my box up and reminded me again that they don't tape boxes in there. Apparently this shipping store's mantra is to remind customers that they do not tape boxes up for them. F these people. read more

I used their franchise ShredEx service to destroy a big pile of old documents, and that's another story. It took three calls and more than a month tor me to receive an email with the promised 'certificate of destruction' from ShredEx itself. Beware. read more

The people at this business were so nice! I needed a Notary Public they were the first ones I called and the lady told me there is always a Notary Public available during store hours. I had my disabled step dad in the car and the girl told me she would come to the car and I didn't have to go through the trouble of getting him out of the car and in his wheel chair to bring him in. This was the easiest thing I had to do today and She faxed the documents for him to where it needed to be sent, all for very little money and very fast service!! Not to mention she was very sweet!! Now I know where to go when I need something Notarized or faxed. read more

This place has been good for my mom to go to as a convenient place to mail a variety of things such as letters and packages. However, recently there have now been two issues where things have not gotten out in a timely manner and the second issue where they don't even know where the letter with the check went. This is totally unacceptable. I have convinced my mom to go elsewhere because this has caused nothing but a waste of time and various issues with things she has tried to mail to the family. The first issue was with a small package in which after doing research, we found that postal annex had sent it with one of their carriers who had marked it delivered in Modesto but it had not yet reached the Destiination in Sacramento. So this caused much confusion on the part of the recipient. The second issue is where my mom tried to mail out a check in an envelope and it didn't get to the destination for two weeks. Upon checking with PostalAnnex, they claimed to have no knowledge of this particular letter, nor did they believe anything went out to that recipient. Again, this is totally unacceptable. I hope they can step up their act especially with all the competition going on with the COVID-19. I know my mom will be taking her business elsewhere read more
